Temps in my room are finally down, but still no gaming for me. Need to get out of bed @ 4 am for work. Longest time without gaming for me besides the time we are on vacation.

Sorry i misread your text. still thought we were talking about ram there. 🙂 But yeah those are important indeed. I took the titan x pascal for that reason 12 Gb of vram and dont want to go below that anymore. It outperformed Johan's 1080ti in benchmark eventhough it is an older card. I still am able to run all my games on ultra on 2k resolution with more then 60 fps on 144hz so it still performs good. Even have above 100 fps on 4k resolution in f1 2019 and 2020. 😄 But no raytracing so that's my reason to go for one of the 3000 serie.

No this has nothing to do with sale nrs I'm affraid. This was the plan from the start. Look at all the signs for it since they anounced the game, they are there clearly to see for everyone. Look to what is said and specially the silence from them when people asked about further support.

First vram is how ram for the gpu is called. (cant help myself lol) For gaming you look what ddr version you have at the moment and the amount. 8 Gb is minimum 16 Gb recommended and ddr4. unless you are still running on ddr3 instead off ddr4 which i doubt eventhough you never mentioned which ddr version you are using, the speed it is running on has only slightly influence in game performance, so need for you to upgrade. If you do run on ddr3 how ever and your MB supports DDR4 then I recommend to upgrade unless you dont experience any problems while gaming with current ram and you plan to upgrade your cpu/MB within a year. I then would wait till newer cpu and ddr5 comes out. This site explains it well what impact ram has on gaming. And also comfirms what I already expected and that is that ddr5 is on his way. Like CJ says been there, dealt with that before. My guess is that the f1 and dirt series keeps codies alive as the sale numbers of the last 2 grid games wasn't great, like the games actually.

The memory is good but you dont need it for gaming. Better wait til you wanna upgrade your cpu again as the benefit you gain from it with gaming is not worth it. When you gonna upgrade your cpu you need to replace your mb aswel then for the better chipset, and who knows against that time there might be a new serie of mem. If you really want to go for it ut is excellent memory

that's because there will be no 3080ti instead they call it the 3090 that's what I read about it. And that wil be a 1200 euro card i presume. a bit to rich for my taste atm

lol wel it acts as 8 cores 🙂 The max I can efford I could have gone for an AMD so I would have more cores for aprox same money but always been an intel man and that wil not change quick. No no need for it now as al my cores run @ 5ghz in turbo mode. I proberly would if I had bought the i9 9900K or KF as those only have one core that run @ 5 Ghz and in turbo mode they run @ 4.7 Ghz so would have brouyght that up to 5 Ghz in turbo mode. It is, specially with your I7 7700 you should be good for another 2 years I guess. there isn't much known of officially but what I read about it so far it seems to be a very good card. But as that are rumors we dont know for sure till nvidia announce the cards officially. Jeez the forum is getting a bit active again only we don;t talk about the game lol maybe we should make our own thread again like in grid, dirt 2 and 3. 😄

Today it is even worse for me. 32.6 when I enter my room just before starting posting now with pc running it climbed up to 33. In the weekend the temps seems to go down to normal temps again. I love this weather but it is not good for my gaming time. rofl

Actually no it's not. Rockstar wil bring out an updated GTA5 with the launch of both new consoles and wait with GTA6 till they understand the new hardware bettter. 🙂 Started with the first toca played all 3 of them, then went to Grid from 2008 to 2011. We tried grid 2 and GAS but we never managed to get much time in them both as I didn't like them. We spend alot of time in dirt 2 and dirt3 tho. And personally I like the f1 games but play them mostly in SP. Ok this is everything I use to game atm. Netherlands Outside temp is 31 degrees yesterday and today. And my main problem is my pc room is on the attic, so the sun is burning on the roof the whole day.

You know me to wel m8. I wil post my rig later am at work atm and posting via cellphone isn't great. 32.4 degrees in my room yesterday so didn't even bother to boot pc.

Like in TDU2 Would love to do some poker soon, but with the temps at moment here in Holland, it's almost not possible to game for me at the moment. It's 31.3 degrees in my room atm and tomorrow it is even getting hotter, so only doing this post and then return to the garden and relax with a cold one. Oh no problem m8, it is good weather to cut the grass. About Grid2019, you should be able to get a copy cheap. Still dont have the things we been asking for from grid2, online is almost dead and really boring. It misses all the good players we played with in original grid for example, the only few online races i did was filled with mostly rammers. At start we could only play playlist with cheatmode aka flashbacks filled with AI so that drove most away I think if they even had any intrest in it after all previous fiasco's. SP is just a bunch races put together wich dont really give any intrest for me to complete it, only possitive thing in my view is handling of most cars not all tho. About the steam group I made that years ago and it never took of, never bother to close it down. I closed the site cause it was hacked and they added code (according an online website scanner) wich I couldn't find so couldn't remove it. And with so few active members it wasn't worth it to want to pay a service to do it for me and get protection from them. So only option was to close it, i didn't delete it, and make it alive any moment if I desire, wich I won't atm. lol My main game is destiny2 atm and rdr2 is second but played mostly SP (finished it 3x ) and just started to play it online and I am level 21 atm. Like you i was hoping it was comming to the pc aswell so got about 560 hours in it. And in the weekend during the day I play F1 or another racegame. Wolf plays other games then me atm Johan only joins once in awhile. so I play mostly destiny or rdr2 with Carlos. Hope we meet on the poker table soon. 🙂

yeah doing good, still healthy so no complains here. Still playing games (everything but grid2019) every evening as usual.

The around the globe achievement/trophy was made with MP in mind I guess, as that is dead horse and you have to do it in SP which you complete far before you reach the goal off course, makes it feel more like an humongous task then when you play online every evening having fun. Also i think not all achievements should be easy to complete so it gives more satisfaction when you do get it.

I never care much for achievements tbh, if I like a game they wil come anyway by just playing the hell out of the game without it feels like an effort. Nice rig you got there btw @PJTierney

Getting gold on 100 seems to give some rewards, so 1 or 2 liveries seems likely to be part of that reward

No I don't think we wil get another season. If we were to get another season they would/should have that anounced by now to prevent the already small player base to get even smaller.

Read first the rules about it tho so you dont play to long and aren't able to get a refund anymore. 😉
