What you want to see from GRID

Motion blur - can we turn it off?  I get plenty of immersion in GRID with it off. Frank

    Grid Autosport

In the career I would still prefer no track penalties, just natural consequences of cutting:  traction hit or bumps or tires or a sticky rail, etc.  That's one of the big factors in GRID's appealing simplicity (for me).  But it's not a deal breaker and I understand that a lot of people have wanted track rules and some kind of applied penalties.  Ghosting sounds like a lot of potential for the cure being worse than the injury.  But perhaps it works better than it seems to me.  You don't always get what you want, but . . . 3. It's only 2 months away, 13 months after G2.  Already seems pretty early to me.  Don't put any more hex on it. Frank
  4. Tracks: Okutama Shibuya Autopolis Istanbul Park Dockyards (Yokohama, Tokyo, whatever) Long Beach Donington Mondello Park Willow Springs (all, but esp. GP and Horse Thief Mile) Leipzig (Go Porsche/RUF) Portland International Raceway (Drag strip) Later, put Touge back in and Mt. Haruna with it. @ Workhorse: I haven't spent a nickel on G2.  It was gifted to me.  Spent about 30 hours on it, and that was enough for me.  I enjoy playing GRID too much to devote more racing time to G2.  I swore an oath to myself after playing DiRT3 that I wouldn't pre-order another Codies game without a demo.  So far I've kept it. GRID Autosport: Endurance

Yeah!  And in SP with AI team mates, pitstops and driver swaps. Frank

    GRID Autosport confirmed cars/tracks/features

Apologies if I've missed this elsewhere, but Loore mentioned on the Online Rammers thread that online car repairs will be paid by the player.  Is that true for the career game as well?  Thanks. Frank

    New Forums - Feedback thread

How about a Return to Top or Return to Menu button at the bottom of the page?  My mouse wheel finger is getting tired. And a page index at the top of the page as well as at bottom would be nice. Thanks. Frank

SP:  restart, restart, restart . . . pitstop?  What's that? I'd disagree with GRID 1's replays being purely motorsport replays; there's a lot of 'zapping' and shots more typical to Days of Thunder or RUSH rather than a broadcast of a race on national television. Otherwise I'm 100% with you here. Way back in the wayback when I started playing GRID SP I thought the replays were kind of silly, but I got hooked on them pretty quick.  They may be kind of silly, but man they're so much fun.  Please keep them just like that in GRID A. Frank
  10. I voted for Tuner, but being forced to vote for only one mode doesn't really reflect my likes.  My preference over disciplines is tiny.  I really love club racing and Touring Cars as well, and Endurance.  And running the FJ1000 at Donington is just cool.   Not even sure where club racing fits here, but the TVR Tuscan Challenge is perhaps my favorite, at Donington again.. What you want to see from GRID

Hey, Cap.  Glad to see you're still kicking.  Thought maybe Cornwall got washed away. So far I'm feeling pretty good about GRID A.  Not what I would call a perfect GRID sequel, but a sequel nevertheless.  I don't care for the tuning as the simplicity of GRID is a big factor, as you said.  But it's optional, which makes me think of ToCA3 which was likewise.  Didn't care much for trying to be competitive at default tuning in that game.  But for me it's not a deal breaker. There are some familiar features here, changed, but present; like AI team mates, monetization and Ravenwest.  I think the practice sessions will be a positive - one of the things I missed in early days with GRID.  And they have to retain GRID's glorious replays.  Not sure about that yet.  Replays in G2 are not bad, but they don't really reach out and grab me.  And of course my point of view is that of the single player. The handling is supposed to be more like GRID, but that doesn't tell me much, except that Codies are paying attention.  I have to try it, or read a positive report from someone whose judgement I trust.  Other than that I'll probably buy it.  Feels a lot more positive than I ever felt about G2. I do! I read what ya sayin but i still need a demo. Same here.  Or post-release feedback that is pro-handling .  What Loore is saying now about a GRID A demo is about what he was saying a year ago about a G2 demo.  Hasn't said anything about it being put into the hopper later for post-release or not.  Which would be better than nothing, but I'll probably be making a buy/or not decision pretty quickly after release. Saying that the handling will be a lot better is fine, but doesn't really help much.  I have to play it, or read a positive report from someone whose judgment I trust. All good except this: Got to have a toggle for each assist, independent of the others.  Thanks. Frank Single player.

    No current gen version? Seriously?

I don't do consoles, but I can just imagine that if a new game was released for next gen but without last gen compatibility there would be plenty of hollering.  I can think of at least one racing game coming out later this year where that will probably be the case. Frank

    A Face to Ravenwest's Name?

Sounds like fewer AI teams and drivers in GRID A, but more complex teams - perhaps more character development among the drivers?  In GRID they're just names and voices.  Sounds like more is involved here.  Although the GRID AI certainly display diverse abilities on the track. Frank

    A Face to Ravenwest's Name?

Quite a bit fewer than 500 then. Will the driver bios take the place of the AI driver's pie chart performance analysis in GRID? Frank

Dandy.  How many AI drivers?  (500+ in GRID) Frank
