Unfortunately some parts of the website still require flash, most notably DiRT Showdown. Moving forward though everything is responsive and flash-less, you'll be able to view the GRID Autosport section fine on most devices. -
Yes, we have clutch support :)DarkRedslayer said:Clutch support? (specifically on Xbox 360 with the Fanatec CSR)
We'll be talking DLC a bit later on, right now everyone's focussed on finishing the game :)
Scooter8299 said:@Loore I'm definitely getting this game, but I'm just curious on one thing, are there future plans for DLC? While it's awesome that V8 Supercars are in, I'd love to see some more e.g. Nissan Altima, Volvo S60, Mercedes E63 AMG. You have licences for Nissan & Merc, & there was a Volvo in G2 so... (oh & if there is, please no Day 1 DLC bs)
Yes you can.Cheesenium said:@Loore, can I take an Endurance car, such as a Mclaren MP4-12C GT3 into a normal race with 5 laps? -
You have to understand that no copy and paste goes on, every track in Autosport has been worked on and if we were to add a bunch of P2P tracks we'd likely have to lose a load of the locations that are already in the game. It's a balancing act and it's a really difficult decision to make, what goes into a game and what doesn't but we're confident we've made the right decision.lastbreath said:- the game looks like a mix of everything that was in both previous games. You can see Dubai track and Yas Marina track... So, the absence of touge looks even more sad. The most unique mode is cut like some useless crap, when all other stuff are in. I can't understand why everyone alienates this mode... I will really miss it.So I have different feelings. Some things look promising, some stuff is weird and unpredictable. But definitely, i'm interested in the game.Unfortunately, we can't make everyone happy to create the game that every individual wants to see, but that said, I will be passing on your love for Touge to the team :)The 'flashback' should only appear at the start of your career, it does go away :) -
There's no plans for a dedicated app, the website should now work really well on a mobile or tablet, giving you the full experience where ever you are :) -

Cheaters always find a way, we do one thing, they'll then do another, is a never ending battle. You're right though, times like 00:02:00 shouldn't find their way onto a leaderboard.scottishwildcat said:
I don't even see why you need to monitor it... impossible times just shouldn't make it onto the leaderboards in the first place, they should be automatically rejected. Why aren't they?Loore said:You'll still be able to track against friends.I don't want to go into too much info about cheaters but it is something we'll be looking at, and monitoring. We'll be taking it seriously. -
Out of interest, will you lot be making a RaceNet club? -
To confirm, it is an Endurance only feature.garyjpaterson said:@LooreLove the tyre wear feature, but is it restricted to endurance racing only? And if so, why have the tyre wear indicator in the HUD for all the other disciplines?I'd like tyre wear to be in all disciplines, expecially open wheel. -

3 races, each with practice and qualifying (if you want) if I remember rightly. Keep in mind that they could be 20 lap races if you wanted.HoiHman said:@LooreI have a question about the custom eventsHow many races can we plan in the custom cup. Will we be able to save the custom cup, exit the game and continue later >
Will double check on the save and exit, will let you know once I've had my afternoon play, Sunday mind blank. -
If you run from the disc the only HDD space required will be for any patches. -
If you install from the disc it'll be in the region of 6.75gb -
Single player is quite lengthy, if you're doing everything in the game then it'll eat a lot of hours. You've also got custom cup where you can setup your own events. Worth noting that in single player you've also got the likes of the GRID Legends events, which take place across multiple disciplines. Global challenge has turned into RaceNet challenge this time around, will feature six events each week - one per discipline and one random extra. Will have global leaderboards in the game too, not just friends. -
No, our AI has improved since that build. They'll give a lot more of a challenge now :)Naeemali007 said:Hello Loore.... I hope this is not the final version as he just drove by everyone...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9PJaGTUEV8 -
We haven't ignored anything, sometimes things do get missed though, especially at busy times. All liveries are fantasy based :)McRoss1966 said:it's all about the money re liveries. Of course programmers wants a piece of the cake for adding a certain companys logo to a "fictional car" -
Good news everyone, GRID Autosport is now available to pre-order on Steam! It’s been a subject that many of you have talked to us about, our Twitter account has had constant requests while the topic has been popping up with great frequency over on the Steam forums.
We apologise for the delay, but it was with good reason. Our Community is extremely important to us and one thing we’ve wanted to accomplish before going live with them was to make pre-orders reward our past fans. With this in mind the GRID Autosport pre-order offering on Steam will have two parts to it.

Street tracks do move across discipline, you can race it with Open Wheel for example. Generally Touring and Endurance are more circuit based though, as you can imagine.PeteTheDuck said:@Loore Do the street circuits appear much in the Touring, Open Wheel and Endurance sections much? Or do those circuits just appear in the Street category?

Monster are more than a sponsor, they are a team. They'll be ones to join if you like Tuner and Street racing :) Autosport Speedway is great, we'll be bringing you a behind the scenes look at that shortly. -
We're talking Open Wheel next week, I think it's a discipline that'll take a lot of people by surprise. I'm a Touring fan at heart but even I find myself wanting to jump into the open wheelers. Open Wheel on Mont Tremblant is superb fun :) -
I was playing Race Driver GRID today, on a nostalgia trip and the cars are quite slidey. In Autosport you have more of a connection with the road, if that makes sense? Certainly doesn't feel as slidey to me and you've deffinitely got a lot more control over the car. There's definitely an element of 'professional' racing like @RobertKNL describes. -
If you didn't get the 10% discount, drop Steam support a ticket and they should refund you the difference into your Steam wallet.DrunkGrandpa said:Bought GAS on steam, but didnt get 10 % discount.. Spend 16 hours in GRID 2, half of that must be AFK, or some kinda brain failure.. cars and tracks was not bad, but the handling.. its like all NFS series after porsche 2000/ HP2- content is awesome but handling- after 1 min controller bounces of the wall.. Even if cm fail again, next car game might save the day, handling is superb for now, although there will be more contact racing :D -
You should be fine :) The game provides a nice balance throughout all the difficulty settings and as you mentioned, there's assists there for those that want to use them.sjsharp2010 said:Loore said:Just heard from the team and they've confirmed that AI difficulty has had a few tweaks since the preview build (which is where all the videos are coming from). The team have spent a lot of late hours working on the AI, one of the difficulties this time around is because of how organic they are, in terms of their behaviour on the track. The AI is now super-competitive on very hard, and harder across the board, with performance in line with our benchmark times - good luck :)We talk a little about the work that goes into the AI over on the blog.@Loore
Hope it's not so hard that those using assists can't keep up though I had enough trouble with that on Grid 1. How is it looking at the other end of the Ai spectrum on Easy/Very easy as that's the levels I generally play on. and with the way that F1 2013's AI is in comparison to the assists in that game I think my concerns are warranted

You can upgrade Brakes, Clutch, Engine, Flywheel, Weight.Cheesenium said:
Thanks, Loore. I am curious, what sort of upgrades are available?Loore said:
Yup, single player has upgrades, the types of upgrade depend entirely on the team, the car and discipline. It's not a one sized fits all solution across the board.Cheesenium said:Hi Loore, are there car upgrades in single player races too? Or every car in single player has fixed stats?
Does Quick Race or Custom Cup also have Car Upgrades? -
Yes, jump in straight away :)Wilkinson said:Hey again @Loore just a questions which has probably been answered already but, online i have 4 mates who we are all big v8 supercars fans, when we first get the game can we jump into a v8 supercar straight away or do we have to unlock them like grid 2? Thanks :)
