  1. Hmm that looks quite accurate after all. Not sure what gives me the feeling in the video that everything seems too stiff. Maybe I just need to wait for more gameplay footage before coming to this kind of conclusions
  2. Thanks @tbtstt for such an in-depth reply :) I really miss Petter in his DS3 too. It definitely wasn't the prettiest looking car but seeing that unique suspension in action combined with Petter's driving style really made me fall in love with that car/driver combination.
  3. I still think people should try the game before we form any verdict. Seeing the car react is one thing, feeling it is another. And I think most of us here agree that DiRT 4 rallycross was a step forward compared to DiRT Rally Unfortunately, even the video shows you view https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqVhuWkwZTg&t=166s suspension the car is not realistic ! Have to say that I agree. At 1:00 before the car goes from gravel to tarmac it looks like the car has no dampers at all. Also the car needs A LOT more body roll especially on tarmac. In real life footage the Polo has so much bod

  5. http://forums.codemasters.com/discussion/140708/dirt-rally-2-0-vr-support I made a poll regarding the VR support so this thread isn't filled with VR support discussion.
  6. That's the worst news I've read today. Got so hyped for the game and thought that VR support is a MUST seeing how good VR was in DiRT Rally but now I feel disappointed. I'm sure that the game will be fantastic and possibly the best rally game ever indeed but after getting used to VR I just can't enjoy playing on single screen anymore. Without VR support the game is going to become a "if only..." experience for me.
  7. Regarding RBR I want to say that the issue of physics being simple has been improved a lot with the "NGP" physics mod. With NGP the cars have better inertia, tire slip angles, better aero modeling, better tire behavior, better road surface parameters etc. and the list goes on. It completely transformed the game for me and after getting bored with the limited content of DiRT Rally I have to say that RBR is still my go-to rally sim and I have never left a game session feeling disappointed after playing RBR. If you want to see the NGP physics in action here's my video of a Toyota Yaris WRC 2017
  8. The gossip stars have aligned indeed! https://twitter.com/dirtgame/status/1044157137759465473?s=09
  9. I don't think NZ has been teased unless I've missed something? @urgaffel has been responsible for most (if not all) of it, for example here: http://forums.codemasters.com/discussion/comment/307330/#Comment_307330
  10. I don't think the upcoming game is a WRC game because including New Zealand in a game has been teased a lot, so if the game has New Zealand then it won't be a WRC game because New Zealand is not present in the current WRC calendar.
  11. What the **** is that?  Im going to present a theory that @urgaffel was blackout drunk when they made it, and the only way to work it out is to get to the same level There must have been some mystic mushrooms in his kebab pizza.
  12. I don't get your point here. At least I have been using that "doesn't work in sim" trail braking technique since I started sim racing in 2009 and never had any issues.
  13. Thanks, but it is not a replay :flushed: Yes but if you look at the thread there are gameplay videos there too. That's the thread where all DiRT videos have been posted to.

  15. Anyone noticed how the VW Polo has "WRC" in its name? They seem to still have the license.
  16. DiRT: Gravel *flies away*
  17. You mean the FX guy isn't in the loop? Wow, they doing some MI6 stuff over there. I work blindfolded to keep the suspense going ;) (The popcorns are excited to see the future reactions) So it's now confirmed that the new game will be designed for the infamous POPCORN PLAYERS!!!
  18. Ninja'd! Man, you are quick! I just saw the same thing! Even Usain Bolt would've been amazed by how quickly I got up from the sofa and ran to get my phone so I could write that comment ?
  19. They just said in the WRC Rally Germany All Live that WRC 8 will be released late next year and will include next season's content so Codemasters' next game definitely won't be a WRC game if it gets released early next year.
  20. Paddon's car still had that small pad but Neuville's and Mikkelsen's cars seemed to have that new bigger pad for whatever purpose.
  21. Well to be honest I think that the current cars are better in terms of reliability too. The build quality of these cars is absolutely incredible and they also manage to handle things like tire wear so much better than many would imagine. For example already with the older regulations the 2016 cars managed to run the whole first day of Rally Finland without service park and without issues and in fact the times just kept getting better on the second run of the stages even though the tires were pretty much done (can't really remember but it might have been 2015 when they ran the first leg without
  22. Why though? Like if you watch those rally crash videos, most of the crashes are because someone understeered and went off the track. Why would a sim be different? When you brake and turn at the same time, you're just gonna lock up your wheels and go straight, or if you're going too fast in a corner, again you're going to have understeer. If you mash your gas in a slow corner, yes, you will have oversteer, but that's just one way of wrong driving Exactly what Didzis said. For example the whole point of left-foot braking is to shift the weight balance around so you can control the car bett
  23. So it's indeed backwards compatibility and GRID related: https://twitter.com/gridgame/status/1011584752426643462?s=09
  24. Need For Speed: WRC (No, please no!)
  25. Kylotonn  (V-Rally 4) is slowly taking crown of rally racing from Codemasters. V-Rally 4 is a full-out rally simulator. I'm sorry good sir, do you receive salary from Kylotonn? Possibly too early for this but I smell LaPremier in his comment.
