  7. There will still be seven Group B rally cars in DiRT 4 but one will be getting a makeover. We also have Group B Rallycross cars @KickUp. Sorry but I cant help myself, this will be my last post on this topic in this thread, I swear ! Your reply to chukonu above gives me an idea for a compromise that might work to keep all parties concerned happy. Give the current Mk2 a makeover !  I'm not a graphic designer but can't imagine it would be a lot of work ? If you can make it look and sound like a works Group 4 Mk2, I will be quite happy, I can live with the IRS and other stuff
  8. I build these engines for a living, red line is 7500 stock, and depending on turbo, als setup, etc... they will make power out past 10,500rpm. Hell, my turbo doesn't even spool till 4300. You build Evo X R4 engines for a living? Hmm, weird. I've seen and heard lots of Evo X R4's in real life and it's quite clear that they're not revving nearly as much as in DiRT Rally. This thread has turned into Paul's Q&A :D Incredible that he's willing to answer our questions even though it's weekend! @KickUp since you confirmed that the Evo X R4 is going to be in DiRT 4, have you guys fixed the interior of it so it's LHD with proper Motec display etc.? Also, hopefully it will have proper torque curve and stuff like that so it doesn't rev something like 7500rpm :) In real life they change gears at around 5000-5500rpm.
  12. Holy smokes, we finally have accurate digidashes on modern cars! That's one of the features I've wanted the most because I always use the cockpit view. FINALLY the orange Motec clone is gone that has haunted me in my dreams since the release of DiRT 1.
  13. I saw Subaru Impreza 95, Ford Escort Cosworth, Lancia HF Delta Integrale and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI all listed in a Group A results list in that 15 minutes off-screen gameplay video, so yes, apparently it survived :)

  15. Very nice! And I must say I really love this on the limit screenshot. I hope it's in game :) It's in-game yes. It's got everything cranked up to 11 so the final product might not match it perfectly but it's damn close. Was that the case with DiRT Rally promo shots too like the one below that was released at the time early access started?
  16. Latvala said that he couldn't get any temperature into the tires and that the suspension was too stiff. The too stiff suspension might be the reason of tires not warming up and I think that explains the twitchiness of the car at low speeds (and also the half spins on a few hairpins). Seems like the suspension is the weak point of the Yaris currently (on tarmac at least) - Ogier didn't like how it felt either when he tested it. Oh well, it's still early days like @RallyDriven just said :)
  17. I'm really happy for M-Sport, they've deserved this for a long time. Sensational finish from Tänak being able to keep his podium place! Although I hate when someone is dominating a series like Ogier did with VW, I'm somehow really happy that he won anyway. He has some real sportsmanship and he showed that he's a four-times champion for a reason. A great and intelligent rally from Latvala. Toyota made a great comeback with a 2nd place in their first rally! I'm glad that Latvala managed to keep his head cool and drive to the finish - we've seen too much of crashing Latvala already ;) Overall,
  18. Spoke too soon! Twitter is saying he's stopped in the stage Yeah, 11.8km into SS5. Really sad, he had a surprisingly great start to the rally :(
  19. That would mean that the photographer next to the road wasn't the victim then because that would mean that he somehow had to teleport into the hillside and fall down.
  20. According to a Belgium news website "Dhnet" the spectator has died from his injuries. I really don't want to believe that until there's official confirmation.

  22. He didn't fall, you can see him getting hit by the rear-end of Paddon's car. The spectator flies to the slope and then rolls down the slope. The part where he gets hit isn't really well visible because of it being dark and everything happening so quickly but if you watch it many times you'll see what really happened. Finnish media also told first that "a spectator fell" but a moment later they changed it to "a spectator got hit".

EDIT: After watching it few times in slower speed, I'm not so sure - it looks a bit like he got thrown so much that he landed few seconds after....  EDIT2: After watching it even more I'm concluding that he really hit him, really hard. If you pause at 0:26, you can see the spectator in the air right next to the rear of Paddon's car.
