I have a small request for DR2.0: could we get a confirmation prompt when the player selects "Retire From Event"? Because sometimes the player might have clawed his way from 18th up to 2nd and with one stage left accidentally presses the wrong option.

I know it's repeated over and over, but: not really. They drove the road on recce. They drove it on second recce. The gravel crew drove it. They drove it on the morning loop and on the afternoon loop. They watched video footage all night. They drove it last year. And the year before that. And the year before that. How did we get "iconic" stages in the first place?Conditions can change dramatically, and DR2.0's surface degradation will hopefully contribute to that significantly, in addition to weather, time of day, "unexpected moments", etc (bring back DR's random rocks!). Also, I feel it's necessary to point this out:"We want more stage km's!" CM develop procedural generation tech "We want handcrafted stages!" CM go back to making handcrafted stages "We want more stage km's!"It's a wonder they bother at all. Its quite possible to have both handcrafted stages, and more unique kilometers. I think, and so do others that In 2018 a big rally game should have more than 12 stages at launch. Im not slating codemasters and im not arguing that it's not an issue of resources. I'm saying there really should be more Km's. Edit: If Codemasters commit to further DLC and we end up with 12/13 rally events then all is forgiven. I just have a feeling that after season 2 we won't get any more rallies. The other thing I foresee is, if CM ported DR's stages to DR2.0, 'easily' doubling the number of stages and bringing back some classics, a lot of people would flip out about it. It would be even worse if CM charged for it. They would complain that CM is recycling content, cash grab, lazy, etc (these are probably the same people who happily pay for Spa and Monza over and over every year with each F1 game). Like you say, it's an issue of resources. CM has a level of quality they're happy with, and a budget and a timeline, and 12 stages (and a few RX circuits!) seems to be what fits. They could always charge more for the game!

If there's not an achievement for totaling the Aston called "Shaken not stirred", I will be very disappointed. ;)

I subbed to WRC+ Basic for the power stage, but yeah I'll be watching Red Bull's highlights and live stage.

Come on Codies! Can't wait to see the final list! You are outdoing yourselves! :) They're there, just a little subtle for whatever reason. You can see them in the above video from 11:07-11:30.

I love these loading screens! Just beautiful. Whole UI looks great from what I’ve seen, natural refinement of DR1/D4.

FlatOut 3 and onwards weren't made by Bugbear and are best avoided, forgotten really. Wreckfest was my GOTY for 2018. It's a bit more toned down than FlatOut, in that you can have what feels like a realistic Finnish folk race on authentic-looking dirt tracks (no smashing through shopping malls), and you can even play it in cockpit cam with a wheel. And on the flip side, the game also lets you race on a lawnmower against 23 combine harvesters. Like I said, GOTY.

I will not stand by while FlatOut 2 is disparaged. That game is a classic. I just re-played FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage last year.

And how does developing a new engine, from scratch, while cutting off a revenue stream, supposed to make sense...

To deliver the most authentic World RX experience to the fans, post-launch seasonal updates to DiRT Rally 2.0 will see the removal of the Audi S1 EKS RX quattro, and 2018 FIA World Rallycross Champion Johan Kristofferson’s PSRX Volkswagen Polo R Supercar.

The bottom part has changed quite a lot too: Looks more 'integrated' rather than boxy and slammed on.  I like it!  Doesn’t the “B” in Group B stand for “boxy and slammed on”? (He says with love for Group B and Super Silhouette cars.)

Good spot. How did we miss that before?  I bet @ChristinaMc edited the text afterwards just to mess with us ;-)  actually it's from beginning, i remember reading it the day after the trailer came out.. When thinking about I remember it as it actually said Michigan in that blog? I'm not completely sure though, might be wrong.  Could have been written by habit and then later corrected to New England?  I remember it said New England, because I read the sentence as “and England provides the perfect autumnal backdrop for Colin McRae’s SUBARU Impreza 1995”, and thought that makes sense, a Prodrive Subaru would be at home in England.  Not realizing that a) it said New England, and b) England isn’t even a rally location.

Any chance of any games on the Mad Box? Or more succinctly, any chance for the Mad Box at all...
