That's the upgrade offer from regular WRC+. It's a bit sloppy. I thought it could have meant that, but if so it would have been communicated so poorly that there's no way that's what it actually meant. In any case, I was still charged before I could confirm—or even see—the total amount I was being asked to pay, so we'll see how they respond.

I logged into WRC+ to watch the preview show, and saw this: Sure, I'll take All Live for €30! But before I could even confirm payment, I got two e-mails from PayPal telling me I had been charged €50 and €30. This is 8 hours before my current sub is supposed to renew. So now I'm waiting to hear back from WRC, and am currently out way more than I ever wanted to spend on WRC+.

According to the article, the starter package remains the same WRC+ coverage as before. The upgrade to All Live just adds more. I guess that’s why there was no sale on WRC+ this year (there wasn’t, was there? I didn’t miss an email?).

Should have said on that ad: perks include being in on all of the fun stuff that stays inside the building far before it goes public. ;) In this day and age, you don't need to be " inside of the building " to be a Game Tester. Reading the comments of your twitt, it's not possible to work from home ( for now ), and i'm sure that a lot of us would consider / apply to the job, if that was possible... but i'll say again, i'd prefer if you guys would go the Alpha/Beta path. As enamel pointed out, being a game tester isn't the same as playing an alpha/beta and (maybe, voluntarily) reporting bugs. You think you'll be playing a sweet game early, but in QA you're just as likely to be assigned glamorous tasks like disconnecting the controller thirty times in a row to see if or how the game freaks out and reporting on that.

We are currently bound to the will of people who are in a different time zone, alas! Will keep you all updated, but we might have to shuffle to later this week. *Prepares gossip mode* I'm not sure if you can reveal it but, which timezone are we talking about? Well if it was someone in the East (i.e. Europe) they would have been at work for most of the day already, so I think it's most likely the US, as they will only just be getting going now... ...unless it's the far East, in which case they would have been heading home when we started work here in the UK. Hang on, that must be it. The different time zone is Japan: TOYOTA DLC CONFIRMED. She did not say "BECAUSE" they are is different time zone. She simply said it was about the "WILL" of people. (who happens to live in another time zone..) If it was about time zones, she would have said "tomorrow", and not "later this week". So my understanding is that someone who live in another timezone are being difficult. Toyota double-confirmed!

"Road... Book"? (I kid, looking forward to it, still playing and loving D4!)

2018 is looking to be as good as if not better than 2017 already.

I believe it's origin was in the UK, but it's big in the Far East now. There were also references to the cigarettes in the number plates for the Group A cars: The use of "555" is obvious, but "BAT" is British American Tobacco, who own the 555 brand. Back to Deus Ex and I really enjoyed HR. The boss fights did seem a bit out of place, but they didn't ruin the game for me. I haven't touched the original game for years and, given that I have fond memories of it, perhaps I should leave it that way! In Thai, 5 is pronounced HA, so 555 is hahaha. And BAT (spelled Baht) is Thai currency. 555... And in Japanese it's go go go. Which makes it three times faster than the Citroen Xsara, which I just discovered used the "Go!!!!" to replace the Gauloises cigarette branding. I had always wondered about all those exclamation marks.

Darn, I was right there with you, thinking it was a graffiti'ed car and really liking it. Still, can't go wrong with a matte wrap and glossy stripes. That's what my Dirt 4 team livery looks like (except in blue).
-
This is off-topic (I mean off the topic of Deus Ex), but I was doing a little research and am I understanding this right: an anti-smoking-sponsored rally allowed a tobacco-sponsored livery? Seems especially weird since they couldn't have the 555 on the car four months later at Network Q RAC.

Noooo Mikkelsen. You can finish a rally on two wheels, I do it all the time.

It stinks that we won't see Toyotas in racing games because for some reason they keep pulling out. Apparently they feel that it's a 'bad investment' to put their cars into racing games because people are unlikely to buy their cars off of it, which is a silly reason until you realize that they're actually sort of right if all you care about is making as much profit as physically possible which is definitely what Toyota is about now. Today, what do they REALLY have to offer? Do you really want to drive a virtual Camry or Prius? ick! And most of their trucks are rather bland, well can't single out Toyota on trucks, basically everyone has similar design. I wouldn't say no to this:

I want a rally route laid down in the Firewatch park, with Henry and Delilah as optional co-drivers.

If you take a look at the F1 Forums the situation doesn't seem that happy either though :s... Is that ever not the case though? o:)

Please note that urgaffel flagged this comment as "Off-topic", since it is not fjords. Sorry to disappoint, that was a fat finger scroll on my phone :D DAMMIT. I'll be over here, waiting for a complete WRX game.

Agreed I feel bad for Paddon, whose chance for a push is probably delayed for another season. But on the other hand, it's criminal that a driver like Mikkelsen had no chance at all in 2017. And Neuville/Mikkelsen is the line-up I can get most excited about. No matter where Ogier goes, I'm already looking forward to 2018.

Don't crush my dreams of an SMS Fast & Furious game

I'm surprised there's little to no talk about this. I think a round in the US could be really beneficial, as there is a lot of money there and not a lot of coverage. It could really help break the sport into a new market I wonder why? I think Oregon, Michigan, or Washington would be great venues for the WRC. It would be really exciting to see those cars come over here. I wish more motorsports in general would have a round in the US. Same with World RX, I wish they had a round here as well. When the addition of a fourteenth event was first floated a couple years ago, Canada was an idea for a second snow rally (as well as Japan). A WRC round in Québec or Ontario could attract a lot of American and Canadian teams who can't make it to Mexico.

He can also only work with what he's been given, and Citroen seemed pretty intent on forcing the 2017 WRC regs to replicate their WTCC car. And sure enough they got a 2017 WRC that works great on dry asphalt.

I saw the corner of that barrier as soon as the first car was running and thought, "If I was driving this in a video game, I would definitely clip that."
