They are not scanned. Photographed and good old tape measure by the devs.

Stages aren't completely 1:1 for obvious reasons(not laserscanned) so there are surely sections that are wider here and there, but overall they are good representations. The downside of Codies one stage per country approach is stage variation.

60FPS will feel smoother and more responsive, it won't give you more sense of speed. Different FOV will impact sense of speed.

Would you say the exhaust note of a 97/98 should almost sound identical to the 2001, or something in between of the 95/01?

97 and onward should be even length. Basically every Impreza WRC rally car, starting with the 1997 version.

The turbo 'chirps' tells me it could be a early Impreza WRC, but the exhaust note sounds more like a Group A car. The WRC exhaust note is much sharper/cleaner. Did they combine the two to be extra sneaky?

Is PCARS2 30 or 60fps on consoles?
