real life 2020 FIA World Rally Championship
bogani replied to Fedemaisonnave's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
Oh shit. I've watchef lots of Lukyanuk onboards lately :( -
Yes you will :)

It's the text. We are fixing it but it will have to wait for a patch. Cool! :)

The toe-in/out description is still wrong. From the setup screen: "A toe-out angle on the front Wheels increases the stability but can make steering feel vague. A toe-in angle can increase turn-in response at the cost of stability." The description should be the opposite. Toe-in increase stability no matter what axle it's used on. Toe-out gives better turn-in but the car may start to wander across the road at speed. I did forward this to Hatward. I just hope it's the text that is messed up and not the actual toe alignment effect in game.

3:28 section looks cool Yeah, very cool! I wasn't expecting to see so many structures so close to the road. That's an awesome surprise, can't wait to give those Spanish roads a blast (and most likely bounce off a few of those buildings!) Yup, the town was very impressive I must say. One thing I'm not very impressed by is the Baja track. It looks quite dated visually compared to the other stuff.

You still have to pay with a american registered credit card. I've read up on this solution a bit but it seems like a hassle. Easiest way is to be gifted a copy on steam bought in Murica

So we've picked some appropriate settings depending on whether you choose Sim or Gamer rather than just turning all assists off. Off the top of my head it's just a tiny bit of ABS. Also please don't end your messages with @KickUp as it is a complete pain when writing a reply. Ah, that's why names pop up while trying to reply sometimes. Thanks for the tip ;)

So who of you nice Americans will accept a donation to gift me Dirt 4 on June 6th? ;)
-
When you choose Sim as your handling and head off to the event that will recommend your difficulty, is that event run with all assists off? Gonna love Michigan. The roads does remind of Swedish gravel roads a tiny bit. Lovely :) @KickUp

Love waking up in the morning with 40+ new posts in the gossip thread. You know something's up. :) Except that time when it was 30 posts about water on bumper cam :s
-
Yeah Nicky will be awesome, but it won't feel authentic as in DR though. Still much better than anything else on the market :)

Yay! Roadside edges are truly not mines anymore. On another note I was sure it was the Fiesta R2T for the whole time until the stage was finished :D And even when it finished, I wasn't really sure what that poor thing was :# Damage model seems very improved The driver must have used about 50% of the throttle most of the time. It took 9-10 seconds to reach 60mph even though the start was pretty straight.

This was from a Polish event, they did not get any preview codes sent to them. Also, Paul already explained the actual dev team has very little control over who gets the preview codes in the first place. That said, it's still strange that no other videos surfaced than the dutch let's play video. Are they really the only people with a preview code?

Two new short RX clips. Beware of shitty driving. https://youtu.be/fCIDjDjo5RY https://youtu.be/O8cNYwoekvo

We can still create events that remind of Hill Climbs. Create an event and use the same stage for 2-3 runs. If only we could choose to disable co-driver calls when creating custom events. Would add another level of challenge having to read the road with your vision only.

You can always ask for a refund if you're not happy.

I have a feeling that whatever they show, you will stay unimpressed.

Hmmm... I always wonder why do a lot of people here say lightning instead of lighting? You guys have been playing Final Fantasy XIII a lot lately? Or maybe DriveClub in a thunderstorm? xD :D As to getting graphics, PC is one massive paradox. We get the most processing power and yet the games are horribly optimised, full of bugs (often weird ones), crash a lot and what not. And there's of course the "grandma's laptop" battalion nowadays known as #PCMasterRace which doesn't help things. On a more "on-topic" note (that's heresy here, I know), I don't like the whole "Fearless" thing. That is for me one massive BS. There's no such thing as not feeling fear. It's how our brains work, it's a part of us humans that we can't remove. The important part is to not let that fear influence our decisions in a wrong way. You should in fact try and control your own fear so that you can take advantage of it and know better where the limits are. I didn't even think about it. Point taken. Ofc it's lighting ;) Yea the Fearless thing is a pure marketing gimmick. I don't care for it but I understand why they use something like that.

Jumping looks sweet!

I'm glad this version is in instead of the DR one, much prettier front end :) Have I missed something? This is the Impreza S7 WRC from DiRT Rally, isn't it? I was also puzzled :o
-
Nice work btw @urgaffel ;)
-
<3 Beautiful!

Depends which camera you are in Should have been more clear I see ;) In DR the copilote was active during the TV-Camera replay. Is this still the case or will the copilote enjoy the scenery only this time? Naaaah. Co-driver was only heard in onboard cams and heli cam.

Yes Paul is very direct in his communication now as we're heading for launch ;)
