U. Indeed. Much better than the last one imo. Don't mind the U. If I delete it it would have jumped in the quote box :s

If you look at the trucks in the latest official trailer from Codemasters they look extremely stiff when landing, like there is no suspension travel at all, but when you see actual gameplay they absorb bumps with the suspension like you would expect. I find it quite interesting that how cars move/behave in trailers doesn't really reflect the actual gameplay. https://youtu.be/uPGxOIXSAG4

There isn't a penalty. Just to be clear. If you crash just after you cross the finish line, before the marshals, that damage will be carried over to the next stage?

The best example I've seen so far is probably the Impreza from the Playstation Access video. https://youtu.be/8OaiU0AJnis?t=3m7s Another example I come to think of is the Fiesta R5 in Australia. That one was released just after the Dirt 4 launch event if I recall correctly. That looked pretty good.

Not sure I've seen this pic before?

Well... not as incredible when you stack them against Gran Turismo Sport screens, but definitely awesome nevertheless. Now that is pure awesomeness right there. Excuse me while I go to the bathroom :D Yeah, we won't get graphics in GTS level. Not even on PC. Polyphony always had the most realistic lightning and color palette when it comes to graphics imo. Photo realism is usually just a silly term, but it's getting quite close.

I just made it into the top ten all time leader list! Wohoo. That means I spend more time sniffing D4 information and post here than I actually work when I'm at work :#

Indeed. Speed up time!

Press event in Poland? Hopefully there will be footage :) https://twitter.com/KonradAdams/status/862216234754084864

Where and who gets codes is down to our Publisher and not us. We are hoping to showcase some of the stuff that you guys have been asking for soon. I think @ChristinaMc maybe asking for requests on the lead up to this but I don't want to speak on her behalf as I am not 100% sure on the plans. Correct - our publishers will take the lead on code distribution, but I will have some scope to influence this/get some codes of my own. :) Worth mentioning that there are some videos in the works for approval too. With the more press-orientated/wider audience stuff, we need to showcase breadth and excitement in a short amount of time... but for the more simulation-based stuff, we're finding some fun ways we can show you this. ;) Interesting ;)

Thanks - the team have done incredible work making the dream a reality I'm really glad you like what you are seeing. Yup. It truly seems to be a game changer :)

The charachter models are mighty impressive!

Gameplay starts at 3.50. Your patience meter ran out after 2.27. Must collect more loot to upgrade!

Nice to see some more footage, but I just can't understand how Codemasters finds these sub par gaming channels. The article contains loads of spelling mistakes and wrong information, and is just rubbish overall. I haven't had the time to listen to what they have to say but it doesn't look like they're actual fans of the genre. I'd prefer some proper in depth analysing and review instead of some cool gamer kids that don't know what they are doing. But at least we finally have some more footage. If these guys got a preview code hopefully the likes of ISR also got one. I really like Billy and John. Hell, I managed to get 65k views on one of my DR videos on YT, and that's without subscribers. Send me a code Paul! ;)

NEWSFLASH! A dutch gaming channel has got a hold of a preview code. I have no idea what they are saying but they showcase the Mitsubishi on a misty spanish stage. Not watched it all yet though. It looks beautiful :) http://www.gamekings.tv/videos/lets-play-dirt-4/

If you have 99 dollares laying around somewhere this one is pretty nice. https://www.fanatec.com/us-en/sim-racing-hardware/clubsport-handbrake-us.html

When I didn't have a separate handbrake I used a button on the wheel base. Worked alright. Guess not all wheels have that though.
-
I constantly scan for new D4 articles after the Hockenheim RX event, but no luck so far!
-
I think the wheelbase is the same as the one in DR, as that is the short wheelbase version. Handling-wise I'd imagine it to be slightly different, especially at speed - but not an awful lot. It should be noticably quicker though. I liked how the Audi felt in DR. Powerful and a bit sluggish.
-
Unless something changed very recently I'm pretty sure that's a no.

1) Castrol livery is made by the team 2) no 307 or C4 So we can pretty much assume the cars listed in the confirmed cars thread is the full car list at launch? http://forums.codemasters.com/discussion/48873/dirt-4-confirmed-car-list#latest
