They won't let us encourage players to destroy their car. Therefore no 'Destroy your car' achievements. Ah. As I figured then :)
-
Ok, I was assuming they were not allowed to have an achievement for destroying the car. Now you guys are implying we can't destroy our car at all?

I think we actually changed the percentage depending on the platform. :p Who's responsible for naming "The nightman cometh"? Give this person a raise. https://youtu.be/iJNtVNe286E That will be Hatward I love you @Hatward <3 o:)

I actually agree to some extent here. To me the wheel movements looks very rapid, almost like he is using a controller even though he's on a wheel. The low FPS doesn't help either.

FPS in replay looked allover the place. Still alpha though obviously.

We do that on our own leaderboards but we can't on the platform holders. So reassuming: 1. Your own leaderboards - cross platform. 2. You'll implement an automatic filter-out system which will ban users who had stage times quicker than X:Y:Z 3. Leaderboards will be moderized manually anyway (eg. after viewing a player report) Did I missed something? :) 2. We filter them out but we don't auto ban. That is managed on a case by case basis. Sounds reasoneable. Freak thing can always occur I guess.

Sub 1 minute times on stages should automatically be binned and never appear on the leaderboards at all as they are impossible. Maybe Codies could implement certain parameters that have to be met to even appear on the leaderboard at all?

AFAIK the console versions are cheat free due to... well, being consoles. It's the PC side that has cheating issues. Oh, you'd be surprised how many cheat times are on PS4 leaderboards that weren't deleted. Really? How does that work? Cutting is the only thing I can think of?
-
So, how much € you need to add any of the GC8 based Impreza WRC's? I might start a Kickstarter. I know there is heaps of us out there that would contribute. @KickUp :#

On PC cheaters ALWAYS finds a way. Anti cheats are always a step behind. If you truly care so much about this issue the only way to go is console.

Nothing that extreme, that said I've seen some pretty amazing flat out straights over big crests that do give significant air. Also worth noting that our cars deal with being airborne a lot better now. Sounds lovely. I prefer big high speed crests that lifts the car juuuuuust enough to hear the rpm raise, over huge bouncy finish jumps. ;)

As I understand it the width will pretty much be decided by which location you choose. Wales will generally always be more narrow than the stages you generate in Michigan due to that Michigan irl use wider roads.

Not this one but it's footage from the Playstation Access video that's been posted before.

Roadbook incoming!

Oooooohhhhhhh! Spam killer - Crash a Hyundai
-
Yes and yes. May or may not be covering it in a Road Book, who knows. :D A detailed reply which confirms nothing: @ChristinaMc has definitely mastered Codemasters forum policy. Unless she's been smarter than all of us and hidden the clues in previous things again >___> You might be onto something. Will there be more footage before release?! :open_mouth: Say yes.

If I got to choose I would like Codies to support D4 a year or two with new locations and car packs as DLC. Locations like Germany/Finland should be fairly easy to add to the Your Stage generator as they have the existing assets laying around. I'm not implying it's easy btw, more that it's not as big pain in the azz as creating a totally new one ;)
-
You wanted them to go for accuracy with the WRC license and use Your Stage in their DiRT games, isn't that what you wrote?
-
Recreating these stages took crazy man hours. There is no way they could accurately recreate the amount of stages we would want in an official WRC game. It's just not viable. If they somehow could get a hold of the Virtual Spectator data that were used before during WRC broadcasts, maybe they could create the stages in a more efficient way. The Virtual Spectator thing was kinda impressive with great detail of the roads if I recall correctly :)
-
Anyone have insight how these licenses work? I guess it's the WRC promoter that wants a game out there to promote the sport. Is there a bidding war between developers who get the license? Do the WRC promoter fund any of the production costs?
-
Rally is rally and racing is racing. I hate the term rally racing btw :s
-
If that's true, it might be worth watching out for. I didn't know that it was on the cards though, when was this rumoured? Maybe it's better to call it speculation than rumour to be honest. The license is up for grabs though as I've understood.
