Not really sure about what you mean? I think it's fair to compare lap times as they are trying to recreate the WRX series with authentic car behavior. Now, circuits aren't laserscanned and gravel sections can be quite different from year to year so it's not that strange that lap times aren't spot on. But when laptimes are 5-7 seconds faster on some circuits, something is still way off(imo the tire model) and should be looked at. Last time I checked Project Cars lap times was much closer to real life on the circuits they have. I'm still really enjoying RX in DR2 though, it's the best it's ever been! *Seriously though Codies, why no tire management in RX?

I agree, but they can't just turn around and make the 2019 cars slower than the 2018 ones. They would need to change the tire model across all RX cars. Tires are way too effective at maintaining both lateral and longitudal grip at the same time. Some of it also cooks down to circuit inaccuracies. All I'm hoping for is that the Megane won't be as OP and the one car to rule them all..

I remember the Mike Chen/Hirvonen clip when doing Folkrace in Finland. It seemed like they only used standard worn out road tires? What's the rules say about tires in Finland? Here we use competition tires, heck we can use WRC spec Michelin's if we want

A combination of everything I guess. You can abuse the physics/grip somewhat, don't need to care about damage, and if you add inch by inch stage knowledge and hundreds of retries, the one "perfect" run that eventually get uploaded to Youtube will look silly as ****. As a mere mortal I approach the game in another way. I don't practice each stage to perfection and I try to drive the cars as I would have IRL. That said, I wouldnt be able to match the WR chasers even if I tried so..

What do you find lacking when on ice? As ice has no friction you end up with... yeah, pretty much nothing. A dead wheel. That's what I get from the FFB when on ice. -

IMO track limits are way too generous. Coming out of T2 you can exit as far to the left of the circuit "line" as you please without penalty. You can cut quite heavily by placing the car on the inside of T3 and the whole folowing long straight you can drive just next to the right barrier which is nowhere near the circuit line. It's debatable how much time is gained but I'd much rather have these portions as proper run off zones that will induce a penalty if you don't return to the actual circuit again ASAP. -

Shouldn't have an impact as the DLC cars aren't open to be modded.

When the 1.6 lite WRC's were introduced they went back to sequential stick, banning paddle shifters. I believe paddles was allowed again 2015.

This wasn't replay actually, I recorded when driving. Camera modding is possible on PC so it's and adjusted head cam.

Interesting. Never heard the info they reverted anything? Would be cool if we had a tire wear multiplayer in game to scale the wear as we wanted. I know for a fact that was discussed during development but never came to fruition.

I do enjoy my Fanatec shifter as well. I like the H-pattern distinctness at full tension, but the SQ tends to get stuck in the outer position at the same tension. The only thing I miss is the ability to adjust the travel needed in SQ mode. Overall it represents IRL gear shifting quite well in both modes imo. Miles ahead of G25/DFGT/Thrustmaster.

True. You always always have more head room when it comes to pushing the accelerator too. It's never actually fully pressed. Need more? Here you go. You also have infinite gears.
