Think it might have been Novikov?SamRWD said:
That happens when driver keeps throttle down when approaching a jump. If you let go of a throttle, then depending on a car setup it should generally fly horizontal. I don't remember exactly, but it was either Russian , or South African driver in Citroen C4 WRC that almost did a backflip because of that mistake.carpa said:When in the air, the car starts flying horizontally, but as time goes on the back of the car is pushed down by aero and the nose starts pointing to the sky.
If there is an imbalance in front/rear downforce on the Fiesta it could be tricky over the jumps. Think Östberg without the rear wing in Sweden where he instantly was on his nose when landing. Not that extreme obviously but you get the point. -
It's all handeled officially by the organisers post race. When I did compete you had to have the cash in the envelope, if you were 5 quid short your buy was nullified. I'm not sure if that changed though.JZStudios said:
I remember seeing that on Top Gear, but how does it work? How do you keep someone from lowballing you?bogani said:
Correct, that are the rules. You can't refuse. You can take part in the "lottery" yourself though if you want to try to keep your car.Didzis said:

You collect points by position in heats compared to time in RX.
The main thing about Folkrace is that every car is for sale for the fixed price of 850 Euro after the finals ends. If several people are interested one envelope is simply picked among the lot to decide who gets to buy it.
The price is obviously to keep costs as low as possible, but people are absolutely mental when it comes to the biggest weekends like this. There are lots of Volvos with dogboxes and engines in the 200-300BHP range. You do your own math ;)

Wow, menu design is clearly a touchy subject :D -
Agreed. I was actually disappointed when the replaced the aerial shots on the start screen with close ups of cars.RodgerDavies said:
Dirt Rally did this perfectly for me. No need for anything flash, just simple, clean and easy to use.dgeesi0 said:grids were okay nothing on decent dirt titles though. one thing that always bugged me in many grid games some other codie games is the terrible UI. in all new titles please make it more simple.
That said, a CMR 2.0 interface would be sweet. Clean yet stylish! -
I'm sorry good sir, do you receive salary from Kylotonn?kheiro said:I
Kylotonn (V-Rally 4) is slowly taking crown of rally racing from Codemasters.DiRTKiNG808 said:Ouch! Looks like an early PS3 remastered title. We are years into the next-gen consoles people. Use the tools provided.
V-Rally 4 is a full-out rally simulator. -
I have no idea what you just said?lskill said:To be honest I'd like to see a Dirt Rally 2. Codemasters has a strong relationship with Volkswagen and that could mean that they bring a Volkswagen Polo R WRC 2017 with its livery. Volkswagen is going to reveal its Polo R WRC 2017 this year. -
Ofcourse, I would love to see him in a third Fiesta to be honest.Dytut said:I would love to see Tidemand in a WRC, but I wouldn't put him in as a no.1 driver.
On Meeke, I really do hope he gets picked up by another team. I really do. -
Time to give Tidemand a shot at it!

Paul is obviously doing this for his own personal enjoyment.KevM said:But.... I thought they were merely sitting on their arses doing nothing at all??
Does this mean they are working on stuff???

Hyundai and Citroën should make a trade. Mikkelsen for Meeke!LudwigVonMises said:
Citroën being Citroën, it wouldn't surprise me.Madhun1967 said:yeah **** ? i hope he didnt have to find out that he has no job ,by reading Twitter -
Not sure if it's a possibility to be honest. I remember Paul saying they will not go down the EA road again after DR at some point. -
Yeah, Meeke just seem to have to drive too much on the edge at take too many risks to contend for the top times.
Latvala is another one that is really going down hill. He can do well on certain rallies but he just isn't fast enough on a regular basis to fight for the championship. -
Dytut said:Nice to see Dani Sordo upping his pace this season, will be a tall order for Paddon to keep his seat for 2019. Don't think Paddon will move to another manufacturer lightly either, he has such strong ties to Hyundai at home.
Mikkelsen isn't exactly doing anybody happy at the moment either. -
Yeahhh I don't know really. They tried to mix things up with D4 and combine fun with the more hardcore DR appeal. In the end it didn't really work in my opinion. Neither DR hardcore fans or fans of the more arcadey party type Dirt were really pleased in the end.RallyDriven said:I don’t really like the way everyonyee seems to put ‘dirt rally 2’ and ‘dirt 5’ as two completely different games. Dirt 4 has some handling flaws, but people seem to forget it was/is a simulator. The only difference between the two games was really budget and scale. Unfortunately not everything in the handling for dirt 4 improved over dirt rally for whatever reason, but that’s not to say that dirt 5 handling isn’t going to be as realistic is dirt rally 2 (not talking about any ‘gamer’ mode obviously)
Let numbered Dirt titles be all about fun gameplay with infected/cat and mouse type of gameplay and let a potential Dirt Rally 2 be all about hard core rallying with RX as a side dish.
Just my two cents :) -
Yeah, I just don't think enough people would pay full price for it. Maybe 29$ or something like that?RodgerDavies said:don't be that guy, don't be that guy, don't be that......
I give up
eSpressowarpengage said:I too don't think there's enough audience for a WRX game. I did the numbers, a while back, and WRX doesn't pull anywhere near as many viewers as the WRC.
It would cost them a lot less to make though; they already have the rules, half the tracks, most of the cars and, clearly, a good relationship with a promoter who actually sees the value in games to promote their championship, instead of as a purely direct money-making licencing tool.
Excuse me, I will now go have an eXXpresso.

Wow, what a strange article. I'm not sure what to say really. I don't understand the purpose of it on an official Skoda Motorsport site. -
Yeah I never really understood the people that yells that they will never play a game from a developer again just because the last one wasn't to their liking.dwkGravey said:I’d hardly call the non-R2/R5 cars undriveable. The 205 GTI, Evo VI, ‘01 Focus, and R4 Impreza are all favourites of mine in D4, with the default setups. I had to re-learn how to brake, especially with the Group A cars (very gently and in a straight line, then power through the corner), but that was it.
I have 80 hours in Dirt 4 so far and 270 hours in Dirt Rally. I don’t care what the Codemasters rally team is working on next, but I’ll be playing it.
I'm absolutely sure they have listened to the feedback they've got from D4, good and bad, and will do all they can to make a great next title, whatever it is. There is no doubt in my mind.
;) -
We can all assume D4, in the end, was a very rushed product. I even heard someone mention that the sound team did not have time to mix things properly, hence the gravel sound was almost gone.
They are working on something, we can just speculate what it is til they announce something. -
The WRX might be growing as a sport and all, but I just don't see it's nowhere near as popular to carry a game of it's own at this point. Def not a full price one.warpengage said:
The point of RallyDriven is a bit of thorn on the side of this theory. Could they be planning a World RX game? The partnership seems to be there. At the same time, the WRC has a larger audience than World RX so, maybe if they had to choose between one or the other, the WRC would make more sense, in terms of potential copies you can sell on a single license?Fedemaisonnave said:BigBen doesn't have the licence anymore, why the studio they have 25% part of it will make a rival for a WRC game that the licence isn't cheap to have it and don't use it.
And the rush of the esports is the same, it is because the licence is expiring.
Codemasters in my opinion is the only studio ready to launch a game this year, and it makes sense the radio silence of D4. -
Unless they are including WRC Legends in the upcoming games?LudwigVonMises said:
The only problem I see with this hypothesis is that Daniel Elena did filming in México for the WRC game. That wouldn't have happened if there was not going to be a 2018 game.KingOfCoins said:One theory I had was that perhaps there was some uncertainty over the licence in 2018 so Big Ben began work on V-Rally 4 as a replacement. And when the licence was actually worked out V-Rally4 was already on its way so they renew it from 2019 and onwards. I remember something happening like that with the WRC licence back in 2013 I think. Where they skipped the 2014 season -
Did they use real stages aswell?Jepsertti said:
RBR had Arctic Lapland Rally too which would be a fantastic winter rally due to the stages being very fast.Jack4688 said:If they were going to go for a licenced game I’d like to see them go for individual rallies much like how RBR had Pirelli International Rally, Rally Hokkaidō etc. - it gives them the freedom to make up an imaginary but well balanced ‘world series’ or whatever, bit still with a sense of realism to the events. Under those circumstances my personal picks would be Azores Rally (the volcano stage), Killarney Rally of The Lakes (Moll’s Gap) and Rally Whangarei (pretty much anything with huge camber!) -
I can sure, but I won't.JZStudios said:
No I can't. But you can purchase the ticket for me. As long as it's a return trip ticket. I'd hate to be stuck in Europe.bogani said:
