Yeah, but as someone else said, without junctions or landmarks the stages basically just becomes winding endless roads that just seem artificial.SamRWD said:
If only AC had decent non tarmac surface modeling. Also for rallying rain etc play a role. Not to mention day/ night cycle. Non of these is supported by AC as far as I know. If AC started supporting those, then above tech is all I need. I don't care about graphics nowdays TBH.Accro2008 said:The previous video is an old version it has improved a lot since then, there is also a pace note generator for assetto corsa that works pretty well already (but could use some improvements) :

From what i tested (demo pack) I would say it's very good, full version should be available in the future, more informations and download are available here :

It's still impressive though for a one man job. -
Wish every car had an onboard camera like Henning Solberg! Too bad the stream picture quality is SHITE. -
Ouch. It wasn't only Ogier being grumpy this morning.
"The organizers can go screw themselves" - Ott Tänak after SS3 wasnt too happy about the lack of plowing. -
All this opens up speculations. Did Codies snatch the WRC license? -
Switching between a Swedish channel and the WRC live coverage on my projector. The picture quality on WRC.com is absolutely atrocious. Pixelated compressed mess compared to the TV channel. -
Haha! Heard the co-driver interview on the Absolute Rally podcast.gfRally said:
Looks like a worthy try at a very difficult task.RodgerDavies said:
Oh, aye, it's by no means a finished article and doesn't feel like real road (more an elongated stretch of a road), for a mod project that the author concedes is in early stages...dgeesi0 said:i dont think it looks good at all.little boring if im honest.you need variation in the track and to me it just seems like its on a rollercoaster ride.
Side note, can't stop laughing:

Yeah that doesn't look to shabby.
I must say though, I really can't stand the engine sounds in Assetto Corsa. They sound so generic and digital :s -
Stages aren't long enough. Softs would always be fastest as the would last so there would be no gamble.Madhun1967 said:never understood ..................you watch any video of drivers and biggest issue always is tire choice .So why we cant have that in a rally "sim"
Monte is ofcourse another story, but we would need more stage variety. -
I highly doubt we will see any physics changes at all for D4 to be fair.RodgerDavies said:albim75 said:well despite some negativity, I would say this is good news. normally, a competition system means more improvements in almost every aspect of the game, so I presume we will see more locations, more cars and updated physics and FFB. As always the main goal is to improve to make competition stiffer and more balanced
That strikes me as optimistic in the extreme. Surely if the competition starts (next week), they're not going to make large changes to the physics in that time (although arguably large changes aren't required). -
The RWD cars lost pretty much all that I loved about them in DR that made them feel like true RWD cars.DiRTKiNG808 said:
Really? I love the 70's cars in D4. The Ford Escort is my favorite 70s car, love driving that thing.RodgerDavies said:does nothing to improve the 70s cars I loved on DR.
In DR you could play with the throttle to steer the cars, controlling the wheel spin. In D4 you have grip grip grip and understeer til you lose it all and spins. Almost like you filled the boot with concrete. -
There is something about plain white cars o:)gheeD said:Went to see Neuville do local rally here in finland (Autoglym rally) last summer, it was great first taste of the new 2017 wrc's before going to neste rally few weeks later. Hope they can get some valuable testing out of the rally next summer.

Good luck @Hatward
Join us in here for a Kebab pizza at some point B) -
Nope, I never said I want to see a ban or a penalty of any sort in this case. I'm merely pointing out the huge shitstorm that will take place if a rally car is involved in a crash with a civilian while hooning around on the road sections between stages. It's easy to avoid.juu1ius said:
But would you choose this incident to make an example and ban him from events? Because if you do, then how can we look past Ogier, who slides past a van on open road in uncontrolled environment in much higher speed. Anyways, OP has clearly some issues and that thread is just bananas, I like this one here, let's keep all the Finns and championship points safe here.bogani said:The Tanak thing is different though. He throws the car around being inches away from a civilian veichle/person. You can yell all you want about superior car control, but what he can't control is the enviroment. What if one of the people by the car mis steps as he is brushing by? Then it's game over for Tanak and Rally as a sport will draw massive amounts of black headlines and bad rep. The rallying world surely does not need that.
I really have no problem with drivers warming their tires and components on the car, but pick the spot wisely and show better judgement ffs. -

To be fair, the one being a dumbass in this case is Tanak.
Rallying would certanly not need an accident caused by reckless driving on the road sections. -
But graphical splits shouldn't really be that hard to implement? -
No stage side cams? No splits during stage? Choppy onboards.
Hopefully more cameras out on the stage when it's daylight.
Btw, why not just look at Neuvilles onboard and show the off? -
Sound is a big imrovement from SLRE -
So the "free" trial at WRC+ is really not a trial, if I understand correctly it will just continue after your 7 days are over? The info is pretty bad -
I get the same way after a few beers :#gfRally said:I heard Ogier drinks a lot before a race, it gives him that laid back, consistent edge. :open_mouth: -
So I get an email that I can upgrade my WRC+ account but get an error message and that I should do it from the official app. So I log on there but find nothing about upgrading at all.
Funny thing is that I've had trouble with the WRC subscriptions before. I do have access to eveything at the moment, but I'm not even sure I actually pay anything for it, I never see any cash being drawn. -
One could also hope that they have done something about the horrible picture quality. To call their streams HD is a slap in the face.
I wish we could choose to ride along the cars in real time. That would be epic! -

Meeke really needs to step up his game. Maybe a mental coach? He really can't seem to handle the pressure of being a first driver to carry a team.
Ogier being sneaky. What if the championship comes down to those 4 points he managed to take?
