  1. Whats going on here? Definitely hope if something new is coming that its not only one or the other genre
  2. I think it comes down to neuville et al driving on the limit vs. ogier taking it a bit more calmer and not pushing quite as much. Tänak im still afraid he will make a mistake, judging from his driving he should consider buying a lottery ticket next week if he will finish this rally clean. But Monte is full of surprises and luck that its hard to judge. Everyone definitely has had their fair share of close moments that couldve been rally ending moments if they wouldve been unlucky.
  3. Just a small correction, Meeke continued on saturday because of Rally2 rules, but the rules do not allow you to continue to the final day if you retire on saturday.
  4. Ive done it 2 years ago or so. Got both the clutch and brake springs, but clutch spring actually broke during dirt rally last spring. Just replaced it with the original clutch spring tho so no problem really. In addition to the nixim brake pedal, Bodnar usb cable so the pedals are standalone but also have higher resolution of where the pedal position actually is. First of all it makes the movement ingame a lot smoother and ofcourse more accurate to what your inputs actually are. Very much recommended, i have the bodnar cable for both my G27 pedals and shifter, and use T500rs steering wheel so

  6. Agreed. Maybe you shouldn't have to make them from scratch, but there are a few places with incorrect notes as of now. There are also lots of places where you can go much faster than the note suggests. If we could edit those that would we awesome. Yeah I also think you should obviously be able to edit the default notes or create ur own from ground up.
  7. I think best and only real solution to pacenotes is to have a pacenote editor. U record all the possible callouts for pacenotes and then the player can do a recce and write inside the game what callouts he want at which point of the track. Then as a default option u have something along the lines of current model that is very vague and doesnt really work for any car but works for all cars.
  8. I somehow have a hunch its gonna be Hänninen and Lappi. But I think Lappi could easily switch to Suninen, Rally Deutschland is pretty decisive for the 2 young finns I think. Lappi has shown he's fast on gravel and Finland especially, but wrc2 season hasn't been that easy for him.
  9. People have formed an opinion on him based on his brand and marketing without ever actually listening to him talk. Because once you do hear him talk you realize he is a very chill, humble, family man that is simply happy he is successful enough to pursue his passion. This thread proves my point, the narrative is that he thinks he is god's gift to driving, yet when he participated in a handful of WRC rounds, his interviews showed that he was completely realistic about his chances in the series and was simply thankful for the opportunity to drive with some of the best drivers in the world. The
  10. Block seems like a nice guy and good at what he does (gymkhana), but the fans speak of him as some kind of rally god. But really he was mediocre at best in WRC events. So that was obnoxious, and then he was showed in everyones face when DiRT 3 featured him heavily, which annoyed more people. (with all the dudebro gymkhana stuff when people bought dirt for rallying) Also, game going from paying tribute to Colin McRae to advertising Ken Block, bit offending to rally fans dont you think. ( maybe that was bit too hostile, but few viewpoints on the matter)
  11. https://twitter.com/eWRCresults/status/760798606404255746 hmm? might just mean new car for jipocar privateer team tho.
  12. i dunno, the news post says wilson has always been keen to test new cars himself first, and martin prokop continued testing after him (which is indeed interesting that its a privateer and not msport drivers.) i think this fall will be interesting times to follow the rumours around these new cars and driver changes.
  13. https://youtu.be/KSEoBhQ7SxQ  One nice clip from Ouninpohja 2. Got lost on the way to parking area, ended up on one of the gravel roads leading right up to ouninpohja and from there stumbled to this great viewing spot! Next year gotta do some good research and find even better spots  B)
  14. Breen seemed like a Nice chap, saw him at Service coming to sign autographs and take pictures when i was there. Didnt see other drivers coming to talk to the fans, i think i mightve become a Breen fan https://usercontent.irccloud-cdn.com/file/6cEo5fjw/IMG_20160730_200257456.jpg
  15. https://youtu.be/PhCZMdPkvAg a little clip from ouninpohja 1. Sad it was cut Short, but at pihlajakoski stage atm and going back to ouninpohja in the afternoon
  16. Anybody going to neste oil rally finland?? Stars just aligned and im gonna go this year! Ouninpohja ofc  ;)
  17. http://yle.fi/urheilu/3-8873927 Mäkinen reveals Hänninen as one of the likely drivers for Toyota in 2017 Mäkinen says that Hänninen's experience in WRC2 with skoda and his experience with Hyundai WRC car in combination with his car development skills impacted the decision to hire him.
  18. think of it this way; what can the worst driver gain from the most beneficial spot? He'll be say 20 sec instead of 40 sec slower per stage(thats being pretty generous). But that sort of difference doesnt change much when the slowest are many minutes behind the lead at the end of the rally, but those seconds are crucial for the lead battle. Its an artificial way to nerf the championship leader and it didnt use to be this way, its only since 2015 and thats why ogier is complaining about the change.  What is the point of world rally championship? To find out who is the best rally driver in
  19. I can understand him, but i wouldnt call myself a fan. He just wants fair competition for the top drivers and none of that stupid artificial better road position shit. He wants to win fair and FIA change the rules to try and make him stop winning. No sportsman wants that. He is the best rally driver and I can appreciate that. I still hope Latvala can contest him but he never has shown the endurance that rally requires. I kinda lost hope for paddon after sundays stages before powerstage and kinda hoped ogier would get his first win in argentina to show how its done. He kept cruising till the e
  20. Well done Hayden. Hope he will keep this performance up!
  21. Well your "genuine" tone didnt come across as wondering to me. Sounded actually quite opposite of wondering why latvala crashed, if it was his mistake or technical bad luck. Maybe if you want to gain knowledge maybe you shouldnt try to ridicule the driver at the same time.
  22. Wow, yeah sure thing, maybe you should call up VW and replace latvala then. It was a line anyone would and could have taken, but the car couldnt handle it anymore wether because the rough rally it had persevered before it and just gave up now or because of any number of reasons.
  23. such baad luck for Latvala again...  :'( too short
  24. yeah the cars have so much torque that just flooring it with 1st gear results in tyres spinning and you going nowhere. 2nd or 3rd gear on the start will help with that if you dont want to moderate your throttle on launch.
  25. Yeah that känniränni stage is pretty good. I have it installed both on RBR and AC on my computer just to compare between the conversions, but there isnt much difference in the track itself on AC vs RBR. Its more to do with the fact of the car physics, ac is not quite suited for gravel rallying, but these experiments are nice to see and try out. On tarmac i think the rally cars behave alright (DS3, VW Polo and Fiesta from RallyLegends mod team) but gravel something feels bit off on that stage känniränni. I recommend trying the stage with some rwd car like BMW M3 E30 which is closer to the F-Cu
