    Announcing F1 2015

It sure isn't the community managers fault, but they are the ones in first row on the forums, so they for sure will have some attention in situations like this. Im actually looking forward to see if the approach on F1 development further on will follow the path Codemasters have gone with DiRT Rally... it looks like those 2 games are as night and day developmentvise. http://blog.codemasters.com/dirt/04/dirt-rally-faq/ Quote from blog: We like to think of games and game development as services that grow and evolve with the involvement of customers and the community. There have been a number of prominent titles that have embraced this model of development recently and found a lot of value in the process. We like to support and encourage developers who want to ship early, involve customers, and build lasting relationships that help everyone make better games. This is the way games should be made” And that is exactly how we feel about it too; we want you to feel like part of the development team and help us build a better game.

Am I the only one who finds this somehow strange ? - Codemasters still have the licence, and develop the game, but then leaves it to Ubisoft in the japan region, can't figure out why Codemasters went this way ? 1. They have no faith in the japanese market will sell enough to make a solid profit ? 2. Ubisoft have paid Codemasters for publishing the game in japan, and this amount of money might be larger than the profit Codemaster think they will get for selling the games ? 3. Codemasters need cash urgent ? and sells publish rights ? Please enlighten me ;)

    Announcing F1 2015

It must be frustrating for the employee's on the lower level (developers, community managers, etc.) that someone on a higher level (or the PR divison) has made this blatantly poor decision about the way CM leaks news regarding F1 2015. Must be hard to develop a game, putting in some really effort, and then comming to the forum and see the way things are handled.

    Announcing F1 2015

Honestly I don't, I need to catch back up with the F1 stuff as I was largley looking after Overlord last week so I'll know more about what's next on Monday. EDIT: some text removed... As for your original question what is it you'd like to know next? I know you all want to know everything but if you could pick just one bit of news what would it be? @justbiglee I know you guys have been pretty busy because of the DiRT release, but we are getting close to weekend, so just to follow up on the F1 news situation.... any news regarding next information release ? - thanks in advance... ;)

I doubt that, I think we will start seing video and get further info past 8.may when pCARS release DiRT seems a step in the right direction for CM, mostly positive feedback, I still find it a bit odd with no PR before launch

    F1 Multiplayer Career

I spent much more time playing co-op around 5 seasons in 2012, which was prety awesome as my friend and I were racing pretty even. I have a vague hope that co-op is to be found in F1 2015. I reckon that the offline career must be a higher priority for CM and on that note I fear that co-op is ditched as well as career in F1 2015. I totally understand the frustation regarding offline career being left out, it's so basic a feature that it should be available.

Agree with that, as I myself is pretty active on a decent xbox website with 10k+ users... I know a lot of the users from that website are not members on here, eventhough they are F1 racing fans... but as it is today woth social media/forums/twitter the word of mouth will spread like a fire.... good/bad things regarding any games will be discussed widely.

    Announcing F1 2015

And yet, it's not even possible that we will get some news this week... very dissapointing, but as someone stated in another post it could easily be beacuse both "F1 2015" and "pCARS" have the same publisher... might be someone at "Bandai Namco", that don't want to se any F1 news spoil the pCARS attention up to launch ? but that's pure speculation. Honestly I don't, I need to catch back up with the F1 stuff as I was largley looking after Overlord last week so I'll know more about what's next on Monday. I did play the game a bit on Wednesday afternoon as we got a new build in, it was my first time playing it on a wheel and oh man it was good - I was playing on a T300Rs, that wheel knows how to kick! (might have to get one for myself)  On Thursday we (not me personally) took the game and the wheel/playseat down to Williams to get some feedback on the handling from their test driver (forgive me I've forgot his name - it wasn't Susie, it was the young guy who is about 20ish - he was a bit of a gamer too as it turned out). I know we filmed some of it too so hopefully we'll share that if we can. Pleased to say he liked it, he gave some good feedback for the dev team to work on too. As for your original question what is it you'd like to know next? I know you all want to know everything but if you could pick just one bit of news what would it be?

    Two things

Exactly... I understand that the game isn't polished yet, and CM would prefer this to be at an acceptable level before showing anything. But that said, the game has been showed to a few journalists, why not share some to the users ? if you on screen state "game still in development, not final build" or something you shoul be good to go ;)

    Two things

Thanks for your detailed answer, the game sounds pretty awesome :) The biggest issue for me is wether or not co-op will be featured in F1 2015, so any news in that direction would be really cool. Otherwise, any moving gameplay (not an hotlap) will sure help...

@justbiglee any news of when we can expect the next F1 2015 news to arrive ?

    Pro Season- Completely Unfair !

Which for me is why i really hope the co-op feature is still present in F1 2015... I played this mode in F1 2012 (my last f1 purchase) with a good friend of mine... I think we played nearly 5 seasons together...

Can F1 2015 be close to Project Cars

Correct, but still pCARS offers a wide selection of options for the races (practice/qual/race) - CM should take a good look at how ingame features should be left for the player to choose... :)

    Two things

If CM can't deliver a proper F1 game, I would gladly see the license go to Slightly Mad Studios.... they could surely do something good for the genre

Can F1 2015 be close to Project Cars

Actually there is 3 career challenges, where you "the driver" on your own hand select which path you want to go and which car classes you want to race in...
