Stil no ffb fix, no comms from devs

I have been playing around with the FFB settings as wel. Even though the information coming through the steering wheel isn't enough, it does give me just about enough information to know what the car is doing. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't give me the info the way I would like to receive it but I manage for now. The following question is just a question so don't go all loony on me. How many of those complaining and scolding have actually spent time fiddling with the FFB settings in order to find that personal sweet spot that gives you at least some acceptable FFB? (Trying a few things out for about 15 min. or copying other people's settings doesn't count)
  8. I'd rather prefer Indonesia or something along the lines of the Japanese location from Richard Burns Rally for a jungle environment.

Stil no ffb fix, no comms from devs

The team is more than aware of the issue. It's not because community management isn't reacting that they are not looking at the threads/posts. It has been stated by community manager @ChristinaMc that the team are working on fixing the FFB. It is not as simple as moving a few sliders around or just changing a few numbers. They need to tweak things, test it, tweak some more, test it again, etc. It takes time to get it right so please be patient.
  10. The Safari Rally would only be a good addition to DR2.0 if they could create really really long stages which is not possible because of the game engine limitations or something along those lines. But never say never. Maybe in a future title...
  11. There was a guy at one point who had an RX7 and changed the transmission from RWD to 4WD but the proper RX7 Group B was RWD.
  12. Euhm I don't know where you got your information from but it wasn't 4wd, my friend.

    Modern Classics Unlock

    Skip my post. It's rubbish.
  14. I'd love to see a few of the following things (apart from the list provided): Early 2000's: - Subaru Impreza WRC S5 or S10, - Ford Focus WRC '04, - Peugeot 307 WRC '05, - Seat Cordoba WRC Evo 3 (love the look of that one) Group A: - Mitsubishi Lancer Evo III or IV Others: - Alfa Romeo GTV6 (just for the soundtrack) - Some more Group 4 cars (Talbot, Mk1 Escort...) - Group B RWD cars (Porsche 911 SC RS, Mazda RX7, Lancia 037...) Locations: - Irish tarmac rally - Proper German vineyard stages - Ypres Rally - Barum Rally Zlin - Azores Rally The items in bold are the things I would love to see most of all.

    DiRTy Gossip Thread

It's been a while since my last post and I'm not in the mood to go through over 50 pages so my apologies if this question has already been asked and answered. I was wondering if CM recorded the sound of the Skoda Fabia WRC? I'm not entirely convinced they did. If it isn't the case, are there plans to do it and add it in one of the patches?

DiRT Rally 2.0 - the car list at launch

First time I posted on the forum again since launch. I've been having a blast so far and don't want to do anything but drive when I have some time on my hands. Haha

Dirt Rally 2.0 is wonderful. Stop complaining!

@Fizzlenog and @Mastoideu, what techniques have you been using (in detail)? I do realise that many set the car up nicely for a corner and then just floor the throttle. That was possible in e.g. Dirt Rally but not in Dirt Rally 2.0. If you are indeed doing that, it's no surprise that the car just spins out and you are facing the wrong way. That's how it is in real life as well, more or less. I'm not saying that it is a complete replication of sliding in real life but it's closer than ever before in many ways, especially on gravel. We know tarmac physics have undergone improvements but it is still a weak point. A combination of adjusting the amount of steering input while cornering and feathering or playing on the throttle and brakes until you reach that point you can floor it again, is quite the art style that takes many, many attempts to get right. Practise is key here so keep trying and don't give in.

DiRT Rally 2.0 - the car list at launch

Yes but not in the first DLC-season, if I'm not mistaken. The one in DLC season 1 is the Subaru Impreza S14 (2008), right?
  19. Seen it, downloaded it, reviewed it.. Keep those sweet beauties coming!
  20. Thanks for copying the exact cars I mentioned just a few posts earlier.. Hahahaha

    DiRTy Gossip Thread

Previous generation WRC cars didn't have paddles to shift gears for a few years. @teknoid85 You are correct.

Once again it lands into the hands of someone who's not capable of driving a rally car properly even though he has more than decent gear and wearing racing gloves. The gear definitely doesn't make a difference if you have no talent! How stupid must you be to record and post a video knowing full well that he's not allowed to do that.

    WRC 2019 Thread

Waaauw that was close. Neuville was 4.1 sec up on Lappi on the penultimate split but the power of that Citroën made up a bit in the end. And what a Power Stage from Tanak! Three way race for the crown for sure. Great rally once again!

    WRC 2019 Thread

Looks like it's an interesting battle once more. It's shaping up to be another very interesting year in WRC! Let's see what the final power stage has in store for us.
