  1. This WRC car was the final one in which the late great Richard Burns drove competitively before he had to withdraw from the WRC and rallying due to medical reasons. It has been an honour to have seen this legend fly by.

He's sorely missed but he will always be remembered!

I've been wondering if it's possible to convert DiRT Rally liveries to DiRT Rally 2. There are many liveries that would look so amazing with the new graphics, but I'm not exactly sure how to do this. Thanks in advance for your help!

You guys are doing amazing work with the dlc cars, hopefully the devs will give in soon.

Firstly, converting Dirt Rally liveries to Dirt Rally 2.0 shouldn't be too difficult although I would rework them completely so that they are up to my high standards. That would take quite a while longer.

Secondly, I don't touch any liveries from other creators without their consent as it's their work and shouldn't be copied without explicit permission obviously.

    Does look good...

...though I was expecting is to have something new to drive today!

@PJTierney First of all --> WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Kudos to the team for this great addition! Really unexpected and absolutely amazing!

Secondly, there's only one question that pops into my mind straight away which is: Will the Ford Fiesta R5 Mk.II be encrypted or not? In other words, will we be able to create designs on it? The M2 wasn't encrypted so I hope this one isn't either because I'm already planning a few new liveries for that one! 😄

    For example:

Cais in Francia con una R5 - FIA ERC | European Rally ChampionshipKevin Demaerschalk in Omloop van Vlaanderen met Ford Fiesta R5 ...

At least we can have some awesome screenshots, maybe CM will fire their legal department and hire some new ones with balls so there isn’t any more ‘licensing’ issues excuses, next time.

Ooooooh I am praying for that day! 😛 Same goes for the car above I just posted...

  5. Here's a purely nostalgic car for the veteran virtual rally drivers amongst us.

The car made its first appearance in a Codemasters rally title in 2000, namely Colin McRae Rally 2.0. And now, 20 years later, it has returned to its full glory in Dirt Rally 2.0.

    Welcome home, Toshi Arai!

    Great work buddy!

I guess this one will be on your list and will eventually be designed by you. 😁

Thank you so much, I am trying my best at it and for sure, I am working on another liveries, for example Alexey Lukyanuk's 2020 livery (mainly because I am lazy to do something more complicated 😄

And tbh, your liveries are ******* awesome. Made with heart, as it should be! 🙂

So are yours, my friend! Keep up the good work!

  8. Just to give you guys a short sitrep. I, myself, haven't been able to push out any liveries for Dirt Rally 2.0 lately because of some issues I had with my Adobe license and some other major projects. However, the license issue has been resolved now and I'm hoping to get some real and/or original designs out there in the next couple of days. I have a few of them that were 90% finished but I couldn't release them because they were not up to my quality standards. Today, I was able to finish two cars, one is the Porsche 997 GT3 driven by Laurent Vanton (in Belgium) and another is a rework of an original SRD design on the Ford Fiesta R5 for the people of RAF R&R. Unfortunately, these two will not be available to the public but I do want to share them with you as I'm quite proud of them. I am working on another car that will be available to download within the next 24 hours. 😉

So I think we can all agree the handling in Spain feels weird, but Germany and MC feel much better.

Is it because the physics are a little different there, or is it just because the road is more heavily cambered in Spain?

What is it according to you that makes the tarmac physics in Spain so weird?
I'm actually curious to know why people find it so weird? What is it exactly that makes it weird for you? The amount of grip or something else?
