  1. Ha I knew id get that respone straight away, you understood what car i was talking about anyway. I left a couple of characters off while making a quick comment, chill out.
  2. People keep saying the renaults are likely to be added, but didnt we (ages ago) have as good as confirmation that they were planning/hoping to add the Audi Sport Quattro S1 at some point?

What a great competitor. I was a little surprised to see that photo, didn't think Ogier would be like that, but that's very much changed my opinion on him, true sportsmanship I think it being the first event of the championship and the fact he has it pretty easy generally anyway, had a lot to do with it, but yeah was good to see that. Or he may have been on the phone to his

  5. Could be his last corner His rally is 13 stages too short.

Same with Subaru, they haven't been in the WRC for years, but they have an awesome contingency program and they dominate the national scenes, so they are still synonymous rally performance. Since the WRC is now basically another European championship with a couple rounds overseas, it has lost a lot of relevance for manufacturers that want to target markets outside the EU. I dont think theres ever been more than 5 rallies outside
  7. Ive always found it very arogant that they called it the GLOBAL RallyCross Championship. What is global about it? It just enhances the stereotype for america being full of arogant, stupid people who think they are the best and/or only thing going on in the world. Which is sad when there are plenty of absolutely great people from america, but they're just represented so appalingly.

Ford are a household name in rally throughout the years and its strange that they no longer care, especially when they are doing all sorts of motorsport to promote their new small ecoboost engines, which would suit the current and next wrc regs well. They also have a long running tendancy to produce hot hatches, and again what better sport to promote a hot hatch than by running one in competition on the world stage.... stages. This is why its weird that they a currently so disi

I've never seen/heard/read an interview of him where he's stated how great he is. He always comes across as an extremely humble and grateful person. And is well aware of the differences between Gymkhana and rallying. I could understand if he was some arrogant little ****, but it doesn't appear to be that way at all. I cant speak for everyone, but my issues with him for a long time wasn't Ken himself. It was his fans treating him like he is the g
  10. Is he doing a full wrc2 championship and the BRC then? or only selected wrc2 rallies?
  11. KevM said: & M-Sport have secured funding to confirm a full program in 2016 Thats good news! And a nice analysis MastaVonBlasta, In some ways you could say that he drives like McRae did, but without the 'rallying since a boy' experience. And yeah the detailed technical understanding is something an experienced F1 driver will inherently carry with him, even into a completely different discipline.
  12. Well he was largely funding himself last year wasnt he? But yes, it is expensive machinery.
  13. Anyone else, feel like the championship will loose something when Kubica leaves it after Monaco? Yes he's not been successful, but he's only been rallying 5 years or so... and is certainly right up there for pace when hes not in a ditch. (and arguably the quickest on tarmac) He is certainly one of the most exciting drivers to watch.

Are you talking about Paul's tweet and colins 555 livery on the 95 impreza that Bryskye has effectively prooven to be the answer? If so then no its not been officially stated, but it has been Dirty Gossip confirmed.
  15. Or maybe Jimmy's Manta 400... That would be even better, absolutely love the manta. Completely slipped my mind though....
  16. Very cool! so about those 2 other liveries... im guessing one will be the family sierra. The second either colin's Mk2 escort or Jimmy's MG6R4?
  17. Yeah i know that we heard that since your comment, I was just going through all the points that could have been correct (as stated by Paul) from what we know now. I wasnt at all trying to say your guess was wrong at the time! Just now that we have more info. Haha how can you forget such information?!

This came to me in a meeting (yeah yeah) and when i came back to check, you two already had it :D  I think it will be an association with the McRaes and maybe even the anniversary Group N WRX used in Rally Wales GB by David Higgins. It fits with what Paul said, especially in his follow up and it would be nice to see :) BrySkye said: I'll throw my hat in then. Liveries. 19. Exactly! Its not that but likely to be one of (or some of) his previous earlier rally cars

Anyway, @BrySkye is right on it anyway, it will need more polygons regardless, it's a large perf hit and needs to be part of the engine when designing it - remember part of the shorter length of our current stages is due to the performance constraints to include all the detail we have. Yeah sorry I started my comment, got distracted, didnt refresh the thread, and 45 mins after starting I posted my comment, and in that you must have commented my same point haha. Obviously hav
  22. Could they perhaps make a handfull of different "stages" of  deformation. They would be a solid (not deformable) surface, that is shaped as if it has been deformed by previous cars, replicating a deformed surface.  For instance they could do a clean surface as we have now,  a surface after 3/4 cars, after 7/8, after 15, after 25, then a "last in the line" thats fully worn. I know its not a truly variable surface, but it could make it a bit more interesting with 6 or so different surface qualities. For a rally, is there much need to have the surface changing in real time as you g

It's only a waste of time when you try to insist your opinion on something is 'right'. :) Most of use are just describing what the situation is, as opposed to what we think it should be. I appreciate that is what you have been doing but others havent. I dont see the problem in confronting the situation if I disagree with it, however It has turned into more than I inten

  25. Well for a lot of motorsport fans, "colours on a box" are not important its how they actually play that is relevant, but then codemasters do need to appeal to people who dont know about rallying as well. @RyuMakkuro You're right about the fact rally games are harder, because the very essence of rally is driving a road you dont know (at least not well) but obviously a game cant make enough stages so you only run each one a few times in your life, like a real planet can provide.
