Gamer handling, right? Right? Watch the twitch stream linked before. That's confirmed simulation handling. Sadly with assists, but still. The R2's in Australia/Michigan looked to handle sweet on those roads. The stream did look really good so that's why I kinda worried about the Polish video.

What struck me the most is how they look like they both pretty much exploded.

If only there were proper competiton... At least in Argentina, WRC2 was a snoozefest.

Agreed, me too. Although that's an exception to my usual rule. With the way games are improved post-launch these days, I usually wait around a year before picking them up, but the DR Early Access programme was so solid I'm willing to give Codemasters a chance many others wouldn't - but I would like to see plenty more sim-oriented rally coverage before being 100%. As far as the handling goes, I think (based on what Codies have said) we can all be confident that it will be at least as good as Dirt Rally if not better as they have used the same handling and then did more work to improve it. So I would not worry if I were you but if your still skeptical, thats fair enough. Personally I trust them, and have no concerns about getting a sim experience like with Dirt Rally.  I'll be honest, I am concerned a bit about the handling in D4. I gave up on DR not too long ago after trying RBR with NGP. Aerodynamics aside, it feels so much more realistic, especially in terms of sliding and little impacts or touches with the track limits. DR has a tendency to be horribly unpredictable at times, which really got on my nerves. I'm confident enough in D4 to buy it (hell, I'm upgrading my PC before release :smiley:), but I'm still crossing my fingers.

When did we start caring about being on topic in here? We've only had arguments about helicopters, water splashes, whining, thanking... a change of pace would be nice. The helicopters and the water splashes stemmed from a D4 discussion and relate to rallying in some way. Family Guy doesn't.

The latest Autosport's article regarding Paddon goes into detail about his "career low" at Argentina last week. At one point in the article, Paddon says that the team and him had tried to work together to morph his sideways driving style into a smoother style like his teammates, and that it didn't work and hurt his confidence. After the complete struggle that was rooting for Latvala last year, during which time he went though the same thing, I can't help but feel gutted for poor Hayden. I hope he can return to form soon. Daydream time: imagine a Toyota team with Latvala, Lappi and Paddon! That would be a hell of a show.

Seventh time I try posting this without the quotes getting meßed up: I'd LOVE to rip through El Condor someday. It was disappointing to find that nobody had even tried to recreate it in RBR.

You're lucky to be there! Beautiful country and great stages, although a little tough for anything other than a world rally car! Very tough indeed. We parked on the side of the highway on our way to El Condor and we nearly got stuck in a sandy ditch on our way out, and the lack of cellular data at the stages had me gobbling up all the day's information back at the hotel. It left me guessing why Bertelli didn't show up at the power stage.

Nooooo, Evans! What a rally. Couldn't have asked for better, really. El Condor was surreal! I climbed up into the valley twice and my legs are killing me now.  Paddon, Latvala, Ostberg and Tanak all put on a hell of a sideways show on the Power Stage! Truly a rally to remember.  For those who wanted pictures, I'll upload a Google photos album link later. I have too many to pick winners from!

I even have a video of angry Tommi pointing a finger at an engineer, and a few pictures of Latvala and Makinen mid pep talk (I guess). Tell me what to share and I'll deliver ;) Edit: sorry if I seem overly excited but as a first rally this is too much! It's everything I'd imagined it to be and more.

Damn it, Michelin. That puncture cost Latvala his rally. Still, if Ogier's car suffers hydraulic issues tomorrow and/or if the Jaris combo is really damn quick tomorrow I'd say Ogier's championship lead might dwindle. Anyways, woooooah there Elfyn. That was quite the lead to lose. I'd go with him taking the win tomorrow, followed by Neuville. Really though, I'd like whoever wins at this point to a) not be Ogier and b) score a maiden victory. On that note, I find it really incredible that Elfyn might score his first win earlier than Ott. Ha, Malcom!

So did Lefebvre really miss his flight? That's what I heard at Motorsport Forums. Really embarrassing. Also, if Latvala finishes second or first and Ogier finishes either seventh or fourth, Latvala will go back into the lead of the championship! YEEEEEES! I wouldn't be disappointed if he finishes second at the expense of Evans, though. That would be seriously cool. Latvala and his Jaris are a match made in heaven.

AMD CPU by any chance? (sorry, had to ask xD ) Given that it's only happening in DiRT Rally, try taking you steering wheel to another PC that can run DR (friends house for example) and see if the issue persists. Would be best if they had similar hardware to yours (aka same brand of stuff). Different manufacturer, different issues after all. If they have different hardware but issue persists... probably game issue. If the same hardware but no issue... sea turtles, mate. Of course the traditional re-install drivers/game/OS should be done whenever possible. When un-installing graphical drivers, use DDU (google it). I had a similar situation with my crappy old steering wheel, but in that case it would randomly turn left for a split second, regardless of what I was doing. Went for scrap as probably firmware went haywire and it being crap, drivers were hard to get itself, let alone ability to re-install firmware xD When I had an AMD GPU I had no issues. I switched to Nvidia now and the issues have started. Hopefully it's just a coincidence! I'll try to reinstall the drivers, even though it works perfectly with everything else, and I'll check if it's not launching GeForce experience on its own.

My shifter has already begun getting fifth and sixth confused with third and fourth, but that's not my issue right now. In Dirt Rally (and only Dirt Rally) my steering inputs are laggy. I'll turn the wheel to the left, it'll stutter at, say, 23%, and it'll​ jump to 60% suddenly. I don't know what's causing it and I've tried everything. I'll try checking the plugs, but it's only happening in Dirt Rally and in no other racing games.

Quick, non gossip related question: since coming back to Dirt Rally I've grown very frustrated with how my G25 us working. It's jerky and jittery and has frequent random inputs to the opposite side. If you look at the interior view, the steering wheel goes from an x degree angle to the middle suddenly, and then back to the angle it was at before. It's causing me sudden under and oversteer, and pretty much making the game unplayable. Any help?
