DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games
FloatingGrass replied to MastaVonBlasta's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
I think the Mirage is definitely a possibility, considering they got two Lancers in there. Also, if there happens to be DLC, it would be cool if it was free maybe :) -

I bet he said "ei voi olla totta!" No big deal, though. It looked like a gentle roll, as Ferranis said; Ogier won Monte after a much heavier crash in PET so it's okay. -

I haven't played DR in a long time, ever since my GPU quit on me, but I do remember one particular corner that was absolutely awful. The first left 4 on Iso Oksjarvi, which descends, would always, no exceptions, make my cars roll over, or at least get on two wheels as if it had a massive splitter on the right side which dug into the ground. Will that kind of sudden lift attack in D4? -

What the FIA is doing is the equivalent of being allowed to either write on paper or type on a computer in class, except if you type it you have to write it later AND you cannot exceed the WPM you would achieve if you were writing. I've never been eager to jump on the FIA shit flinging bandwagon but this is beyond brainless. There's zero point in making cars faster, more complicated, more expensive and therefore more inaccessible if they'll be tied down to regulations for slower cars, especially when they've been advertised as equal to the second coming of Christ in awesomeness. -

Hell yeah Jaris-Matti! I can't be happier with this result. After such a struggle last season it was about time he got back to his winning ways again. -

Just wondering, will the pacenotes have pluses, minuses, camber, maybe, etc? Also, when (and if you can) damage the 'girboks', will it get stuck in a gear, grind, or jump between gears? Is losing power steering possible? -

Latvala in the lead again! Oh how I hope he can keep the Jaris (heh) on the road and ahead of Tanak tomorrow. -

Totally agree. The Yaris seems unstable, bottoms out frequently and tips up in the jumps. I'm sure aero and suspension refinements will eventually come. As far as the engine goes, it looks to be holding up well, and so far has the highest top speed (although perhaps the lowest acceleration judging by the launch. It could possibly be the gear ratios though). -

Latvala's gap to Tanak down to just 4.3 sec! I'm scared shitless! -

Nah, I'm guessing the sign for the Toyota HQ was printed in really small Times New Roman, and when he squinted Akio took it as an offense. -

It looks like the Fiesta is the most unreliable 2017 spec car so far. It's nowhere near 307 level issues, but Tanak has had two gearbox issues and lost cylinders in Monte and Ostberg just lost the rear wing. It's too early to tell how it'll play out throughout the season, but first impressions are so. As for the standings, FUCK YEAH LATVALA! The afternoon's itinerary must've been tricky and Neuville had not only more seat time but a more favorable road position than Latvala. For him to maintain second place with a comfortable gap to Tanak and not too much of a gap to Neuville is remarkable. Dare I say a Latvala title this year isn't as far fetched as we thought? -

A confident Latvala is definitely a dangerous man. Ogier beware! -

I get the odd feeling Mitsubishi also is reluctant to give livery freedom. -

I still think DiRT 4 should have some original composed tracks. Not a big fan of licensed-only soundtracks. Hah, that reminds me of an awful track selection: Avril Lavigne - Girlfriend in Burnout Paradise :D Agree that it was an awful choice, but it was my guily pleasure... I would mash 0 until I got to it, then mash it again. -

Off topic, sorry, but I've just began listening to Jonathan Colling's incredible music on Spotify. It's this entire album with music from all CMR games, including the entire CMR 2.0 soundtrack. Holy balls is he a genius (at play)! -

Would also like to know this. (Just told my daughter about new rally game coming in summer and she wanted to know can she design our livery too!) 1) as far as it will take to buy your first car. We haven't fully worked out the economy yet but we expect that to be in the first hour or so. 2) Design Templates, Colours, Numbers and Sponsor placements. 3) Undecided. Likely to all be available 4) Yes, but it will be your car not the livery you are choosing 5) I don't know off the top of my head but I'd imagine it's triple digit. Will the carreer be similar to GRID in the sense that to gain money at the start you play as a hire driver for other teams? Will there be objectives from the driver offers and the sponsors alike? -

Yeah, that intro was sweet, but I liked Rally Championship 2000's music more :) Of course CMR 3.0 had the best main menu theme ever ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82ZKNd1f6rE And CMR 2005 had the best overall soundtrack IMHO (I really like the overal UI design as well) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faYvI4X0VNk CMR 3.0's menu music was spectacular, and definitely the best of all the games in the series. However, as far as intros go, CMR 2.0 is the clear winner every time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIRluy2OHys&t The menu music is also an instantly recognizable classic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAWCDava7FQ I would even post the link for the complete soundtrack (the music in the arcade mode around the circular tracks was epic, especially around Corsica), but meh. -

So... what about the requirements that I asked a few pages ago? More like F1 2016 or more like Dirt Rally? -

As long as the retired car on the side of the road will affect the actuial leaderboard I wouldn't really mind how many cars that sit on the side of the road. I hope we'll see some heavy crashes too. That too, I hope it's not always just a smoking engine. Binned cars in ditches and cars on jacks missing wheels would greatly add to the variety and specialness of the events. -

There are some bits of information that the co-driver will relay to you sometimes before the start of a stage. "You have to concentrate Samir please!" -

@KickUp I'm guessing its still a bit early to say, but should we expect system requirements more similar to F1 2016 or Dirt Rally? I'm getting ready for a complete PC overhaul and D4 is on the priority list!
