So season 3+4 is full price during the Steam sale...
Myrvold replied to Shocchiz's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
Might be, but 2 days after the initial sale period started (at least steamDB says 27th January). It should've been fixed if that's the case... Seeing how it's been done earlier, I won't expect it to change sadly. -
Yup. A bit sad as I think they had a really nice platform to evolve the game into something massive. Let's hope that's what happens with a later game! 🙂

Nope, it was announced that Loeb would do Monte and Sweden. Actually, it was announced that Loeb and Sordo would share the car (which left a couple of openings where no-one was scheduled, e.g Finland), but neither Breen, nor Mikkelsen were scheduled to do any rallies for Hyundai. -
I would've agreed, but as you cannot run multi-class in Club events (for some reason that's removed), I would ideally like as few in-game classes as possible!

No. Because, if Codemasters had done thing right. Season 1+2 would've been highlighted as "owned" and removed from the pack-price when looking at it. However, this only happens for the ones that have bought 1+2 / deluxe upgrade as a standalone, and not the Deluxe Edition of the game, which I guess you have done if it doesn't register as owned. Which has been the reason for my complaining here. EDIT: Now I understand why more people are frustrated here. Both the Super Deluxe Upgrade thing, and Year One Pass have got 3+4 at a sale. But us suckers who actually bought the Deluxe Edition from the start, and thus only have 3+4 to buy, we don't get a sale. What the actual F is going on here? Now it is more a case of fairness than anything else. @PJTierney Could you try and work magic towards whoever deals with this, because this is completely awful customer treatment. EDIT 2: To further explain: Year One Pass - Which is a package of Deluxe Upgrade and Season 3+4, there is both the Deluxe Upgrade and Season 3+4 on sale. Thus you have a sale on both upgrades, and a small package rebate on top of that. Super Deluxe Edition - Which is Main game+Deluxe Upgrade + Season 3+4. Game, Deluxe Upgrade and Season 3+4 is on sale in this package. Add in a small package rebate on top. Season 3+4 standalone - NO sale. Same 207 Norwegian Money as it always has been. Why not just buy one of the two with rebate you may ask? Because the Year One Pass costs 310 Norwegian. The Super Deluxe costs 345 Norwegian (which is funny, as it should be the same... due to Steam recognizing me owning DiRT Rally 2). The issue being, the ones who bought DiRT Rally 2.0 Deluxe Edition pre-release or release, we do not get the "Deluxe Upgrade (Season 1+2)" marked as owned in Steam, due to how Codemasters have put things. Even though we own them, have all the cars, stages, liveries etc. associated with Season 1+2, because - well, it was a part of the Deluxe Edition. Regardless, as Codemasters doesn't spend 5 minutes to fix this in Steam, the only way we can get S3+4 is to pay full price, with no sale, nor package rebate. While everyone who didn't buy the Deluxe Edition get both sale and package rebate. Bloody nice way to treat customers. -
There it was! It wasn't too long after the actual rally was over either.

Indeed, 87-88 before all the Sierras took over, heck, could've had a SAAB and VW FWD in there as well to make it a bit interesting, however, I agreed with the period-correct first. -

Typical RWD suspension there. Now, that would be a proper classic/retro RX. Mid 80's, Bettle 4WD, the Xtrac machines, the crazy porsches, ur-quattros etc. -
Nope, it was after DR1, and I remember thinking about some national/regional rally in Norway when I saw where they went. But I cannot remember it, and google doesn't help.
-
I forgot that Norway was in DiRT 3. I seem to remember Codemasters visiting Norway around either a rally, or around some rally stages a couple of years ago. Hmm

Just checked this again during the Lunar Sale, and realized that at a point Codemasters put Deluxe Edition being 2 packages, but have failed to check that we that bought Deluxe Edition pre-release or extremely early have that Deluxe Edition, thus it's actually only the ones that put trust in Codemasters to buy the deluxe extremely early that don't get the package rebate that everyone else gets in the Super Deluxe Edition. Lesson learned. Never buy Codemaster games at release. -
To get in a bidding war with Polypony and Sony over the rights to a sole hillclimb would be stupid. Not to mention we don't know how long the deal that Polypony/Sony is either.

I would think so. I'm holding off until I at least don't have to pay more than owners of any other edition of the game (including owners of the deluxe upgrade the also get some percentages off). -

Enough of an "icon" that they sold over 2mill copies of FM19. With over 1.2 million people playing Football Manager 2018 in June of 2019 when the game was 7 months old. That's more than acceptable. Indeed, but to equalize it between the new buyers and the Deluxe Edition owners, a 15% rebate for Deluxe Edition owners would be approx the same as you save with the bundle at the moment. This is possible in Steam, and wouldn't make Deluxe Edition owners pay more than non Deluxe Edition owners for S3+4. For me this is a poor job by Codemasters, but sadly, not surprising. -

If they find the backing they can drive as well. Greensmith pays for it. -

There's actually quite a few games that offers a discount for owners of previous editions. There's a reason why this is an actual option on Steam, the biggest/most known game that have done/does this is the Football Manager series. IIRC it was 10/15% off if you had the previous edition. Again, S3+4 is in a bundle with DR2.0 and the Deluxe Upgrade and thus get a bundle-discount. For the Deluxe Edition (not upgrade) owners, it doesn't register as owning the Deluxe in that bundle, thus we have no other choice than buying S3+4 for full price, which people that doesn't own the game, or never bought S1+2/Deluxe Upgrade actually gets. It's not that we that bought in to the game and promise from the start don't get a price advantage that's the problem, it's the fact that we get a price disadvantage on the same product. How anyone can look at that and think that it is fine, I'm not able to understand. -

The issue is more that we who bought the Deluxe Edition from the start, because we believed in the game and the DLC's, we have to pay a lot more than people waiting. I see games released in October, that's on the top sellers list on Steam with 10-20% off during the sale now. But I, with my Deluxe Edition have to pay full price for Season 3+4. The least they could've implemented was that owners of the deluxe edition would get some percentages off the 3+4. I mean, the Super Deluxe Bundle have additional price off due to it being a bundle. But as I own the Deluxe Edition, and not Deluxe Upgrade, I have to pay for the Deluxe Upgrade (which I have) as well, thus I won't get anything out of the Bundle-Rebate. While the Super Deluxe buyers now get DR2.0 with 70%, Deluxe Upgrade 50% and additional rebate on top of that for buying the bundle. It's ridiculous. It seriously angers me. -
That's a bloody joke from Codies.

DiRT Rally 2.0: General Clubs Discussion

Oh, I was told wrong then. As I haven't been able to actually participate in any events myself yet - too much work around summer time 🙂 Only been setting up events etc. That's good to hear though! 😄 -
DiRT Rally 2.0: General Clubs Discussion
Myrvold replied to PJTierney's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0 Clubs & Leagues
One step forward, and one step back makes for a stationary experience. Or that you end up in a nasty split! Positives from DiRT Rally 1 (D4 got promptly skipped after some hours of gaming). The webside looks better, slicker, more professional and loads quicker. Kept the multi-platform from DiRT 4, oh how much time that will save compared to DiRT Rally and merging of results etc. Much simpler start and ending time, with the days & hours the event will last. It might not look as much, but it simplifies the process a lot in big leagues! The negatives No multi-class, which basically ruins any proper league over certain sizes. Unless one will make 4-6 different clubs for each subclass. It makes is even harder if some championship-classes spans multiple DR2.0 classes (e.g R4/Gr.A) No multi location events. While not an issue for the league I look to run, it ruins the traditional preview, test event. No "Equal engineers, mechanics and cars" option. I hate that people will have to grind career and events to be able to participate on a fairly even level as others in the championship... There should be an option for this (This is not the case - see post below 🙂 ) No chance of cherrypicking cars from the same class either. I had ideas of running different themed events. No chance now sadly. What's the most frustrating is that these are options we've had before. It's all a bit modern way of gaming, making something new and removing features that were present before... Evolution some might call it -

6 to 10. However, if this was the good news that IMG mentioned regarding an announcement of entries. I am not that convinced. -
Are you sure? As we deluxe owners have that car unlocked, we should be able to extract the files from it, but we can't.
-
Oh, so that means that you also designed the Fiesta then? That one also looked great!
-
If you ain't from Norway/Sweden/Finland you should move up here! 😜 Anyway, I wish the one who decides to make Brynildsens Fabia very much good luck. That looks like quite a bit of work!

The Aston is a legit R-GT car. Official FIA R-GT papers EWRC: https://www.ewrc-results.com/entryinfo/21437-arctic-lapland-rally-2015/760885/ 🙂 There has been some sort of Mustang in some sort of tarmac rally, but no an official R-GT car.
