Now that just doesn't fit Pontiac at all! In other related news: Until when did the Kadett live in your Country? Here in Brazil it went up to 1998... (since we're all off topic'ng, lemme catch that bus too! )

It's looking ok. I think we will need to grow and rework our tech to make a big step forward from DR but your voices have been heard. As for that Fockin Vauxhall Astra... You can fock o... https://youtu.be/-BK1LFlPVb0?t=1m58s :D

I can't believe you've spent 246 hours playing it with a keyboard. How have you not cracked and got a controller or wheel? It's more satisfying to be in the Top 5 of a Daily this way  I've been doing this so long, practicing with a Controller or buying a wheel seems too much effort. Yeah that's true. I certainly admire the times you are capable of with a keyboard. Yep, KeyBros with fast times are pretty much proud of themselves, since it's a bigger challenge not to have full precision of controls. Like this game so much that I already did 263 hours with keyboard. You are just not seeing me as frequent in leaderboards anymore because I'm on a business trip... with only my laptop to play with (average GPU) :( @KickUp Tricky question: What is your feeling about whether Codemaster will keep your (Pauls) current team for the future DiRT games, whether you will be getting a bigger budget based on so far results with DR? You know, you have a full fledge of supporters. Sometimes we can be quiet, but count on us nevertheless. And can someone ANSWER ME ABOUT THAT FOCKIN VAUXHALL ASTRA?!?! Thank you! >:)

Had we lost faith in Vauxhall Astra? I believe we'll end up not getting the Renault Maxi Megane, but the Astra would be an awesome addition.

You do realise that engine displacement doesn't matter? The cars still produce 300BHP anyway and they have the same weight limit. Suspension is newer on '11 ones but like you mentioned restrictions came regarding electronic aids, so it should level out nicely. Putting an '07 car against an '01 ones is a complete and utter nonsense. But if that's the case, and they are also adding the C4 , then that would alreay add up to 1300k for just these two cars. which would mean only two R4 cars, no modern WRC cars like the Polo and a total of 4 cars for a pure car update... seems unlikely But I agree that the 07 Focus doesn't really fit any class (since we know only R4 will be a new class due to the achievments). BUT IF it is in this update (which seems so considering Pauls tweet) then it will be in the 2000's . For one simple reason : It was built and used before 2010, which means it can't logically be in 2010's class. So assuming every class gets an achievemnt, that means either the Focus will be in 2000's or it will not be in this update Why Focus 2007? Why not Focus 2010, like in DiRT3? Because Steve Perez car is '07 and it is the car that they used is it, to make a realistic game you need real data, and the data is from a '07 not a '10 :) Yeah ok, but that's not a parameter, you know. Take our 2001 Scoobie, for example, It has a 2001 body, with a 1995 engine sound in a 2000 interior (not that I'm complaining). Heck, our Impreza 555 has some interior gauges that I've never seen in a Impreza! The thing is: DiRT Rally never meant to have oficial WRC content. It is just a rally game, period. BTW IMHO I don't know why we are discussing this theme. Where is the modern Focus in the Periodic Table? 2010... what now?!

Well, some F2s are possible... or not if Renault is still an arse. I wonder what happened with the Astra...
-
Stop ruining my dreams. I'll hope for the Xsara untill all cars are released. No matter what the tweets say Want Xsara or 206? Wait for SLRE... Kappa Might try this one as well! If them sounds are as good as the trailer (which I somewhat doubt), should be a fun one!
-
Hmmm... any surprises within this new R4 class or nothing out of the ordinary (Mitsus + Scoobies)?

Completely off topic @KickUp Sometimes it's easier to criticize the work of a team than to make a compliment. Often here in the foruns we focus only on things that can be improved. Positive criticism is good, but it's still criticism nevertheless. With that written, truth must be told: The updated Impreza sound is the most realistic I've ever heard in a game. EVER. EVERY aspect of it is just flawless. The engine, the anti-lag, the whine, the turbo chirps... Many congratulations! Keep the superb job!

Too many categories with too few cars, i'd say.

Liveries without licensed sponsors can always be included. For example a pure Martini livery without sponsors can be easily included, or a simple matte black skin with some DiRT Rally stickers in a lighter black on it. Liveries don't start or end at licensed ones only. Not true. We couldn't put the Martini stripes into the game without permission from Martini as they hold the rights. At this stage we are unable to agree terms but we are still trying. Separate to that we couldn't write Martini on the livery because it is an alcohol brand and that is a restriction placed on video games. I don't want to live in this era anymore. Take me back to the 90s please... Fuck Martini and Toyota

Soooo... back on track... what would be the odds for us to get a Mistubishi in DiRT Rally?
-
Them sounds just rapes my ears... for the love of god...

Weird, there haven't been any changes on Steam as far as I know. Nope... so far is online... v0.710 with Racenet up
-
Off: @KickUp Happy Birthday man! Hope you had a good time today! :)

v0.8 has been getting updates for weeks, but if this build proofs to be stable enough it might get released. Hmmm that would mean some more time for homologation, right? Maybe Finland not beeing released this September? Anyway, coincindently had this weird dream today: Finland was released and was bug ridden... got very disappointed... but then I woke up! So I'd say... take your time to continue launching top top top level contents, because they all have been so far!

Go further... ok, no Ford pun, but DiRT Rally sure do incentivate drivers to get real. Get some wheels and try some rallying, No mather how difficult is on their home country (Brazil is not well known for rallying). I'm honestly considering spend my 5 year saves on a car to rally. But f*ck it, I'l spend it on something that I love. And DiRT Rally helped me see that. For that, I'll say @KickUp @justbiglee @ everyone who got involved in this project thank you.
-
@KickUp Maybe a little birthday gift for me? Finland release this Friday 25th?
-
I'm I the only one who thinks the rear wheel arches of the Audi S1 too wide/ugly?
-
Michelin Rally Master 2015 anyone? Pretty dawn more accurate than WRC 5
-
Jesus Christ... It's a completely different tone down there! I complained a couple of times about CM not giving DiRT community enough feedback from suggestions and etc... now I know why! Feel somewhat guilt for beeing a little of a bitchy winnie. :| @justbiglee I honestly apologize if a post of mine sounded like you (CM) don't give enough feedback to DiRT community. I didn't know the warzone some of your other titles are set in.

Well, they did say that they were working on some fixes/features a lot of people wanted which is cool, I'm just mainly bummed of the lack of new stages. They pretty much confirmed we won't get any additional stages for current events like Wales, and have to wait till September for Finland which if they follow current routine will be 2 longer stages split up and reversed to make up 12. I do appreciate they are going for quality over content, and it definitely shows cause these are by far the best stages ever produced in any rally game, but it seems all we have to look forward to the end of the year is Finland and Sweden 2 long stages split up and reversed. I can't wait for Finland as it's my favorite rally by far, just I guess venting a bit. The stages and the unknown and relying on your codriver is the essence of rally, and anyone who puts some real time into DR just ends up memorizing the stages. It's still a ton of fun, the current roster of cars is already great and they all feel different, but just really need more stages IMO. Yeeeaaah..... sadly thats the reason why I vertiginously lost interest on DiRT Rally. The time when you feel you don't need your co-driver anymore you basically just stopped rallying. Although I'm in love with its sound (and in hate with its engine sounds), there is nothing new for me to discover. I won't be able to run any faster either because I don't have the talent or because I don't have a wheel. Replayability is pretty much jeopardized to me, as we won't have any other long stages for the current countries. I may drop the ball on this one :/
