He was returning to his old school at Yarm (about 45 minutes from my house) and gave a lecture for the Cleveland Institute of Engineers on the "Design and Engineering of a Formula 1 Car". Needless to say I wanted to go and he stayed afterwards to let people ask personal questions. He's a really nice guy, humorous and was down to earth. He's my inspiration! :pMBKF1 said:Oh wow that's cool! How did that come about then? -
I've just been to a lecture by Andrew Shovlin (Chief Race Engineer at Mercedes) and it was so interesting! Got to meet him in person too and he's a really nice guy. -
Hello Big Sam ;)Hughesy said:Pretty shocked how well league 1 is going for me. After promotion from L2 the goal was to avoid relegation, after 3 games I have won 3 games, and haven't conceded a single goal. I also beat Bristol City 3-0 in the Capital One cup. I have only added 2 players from last season, one for just 75K and another on loan, I feel like a genius at the moment. I'm building it all on a strong defence, as last season I conceded the least amount of goals which got me promoted and the attacking players are scoring goals :D -

Best of luck to @afrodude41 for next season!

I didn't think you liked Star Wars?MBKF1 said:
Film soundtracks don't get enough credit, they can completely transform a film.Platy said:The films and everything are great, but the music is what gives me the chills. Such an amazing soundtrack.
It sounds stupid but in that particular trailer, the bit that gives me the chills isn't any of the music in the actual trailer, it's the bit at 2.02 where it just says 'Star Wars'.
Firstly it's an E major chord (probably my favourite note), and the horn melody is just so good. The whole balance of the chord is spot on, amazing bass and then subtle strings at the top.
Oh god yes. -
Brazil results are finally up! @GoldenColt takes his first win of the season. It's still technically possible for anyone above (and including) @MBKF1 to win the title in the last round! Lost Under Breaking Motorsport and above can win the constructors title.

Ron Dennis will bring about the end of McLaren if he continues his archaic way of running a team. -
Ban Aussie IPs I think @MBKF1 ;) -
Renault confirm Lotus buyout. We will have 22 cars next year! -
"FIA Formula 2 ChampionshipThe World Motor Sport Council gave a mandate to the President to formalise the contract between the FIA and the GP2 promoter for the establishment of the FIA Formula 2 Championship to complete the FIA’s single-seater pyramid from Karting to Formula One."
It'll be interesting to see what this means for GP2...

Also, manufacturers are allowed to sell year old spec power units and the FIA has confirmed that Ferrari will supply a team with a 2015 spec engine (hello Toro Rosso).
Virtual Safety Car:
DRS will be enabled as soon as the VSC period has ended. The VSC can now also be used in practice sessions.
Tyres:- Three tyre compounds will be chosen by Pirelli for every race
- Thirteen sets of dry weather tyres will be provided to each driver, the same as in previous seasons.
- Three of those sets will be chosen by Pirelli. Two will be chosen for the race, whilst the third will be the softest compound and will be used in Q3.
- The driver may choose the remaining ten sets from the three compounds available.
- In a dry race, each driver must use at least two compounds.
- In a dry race, each driver must use at least one of the tyre sets chosen by Pirelli.
Bernie and Jean have been given the power to make suggestions regarding F1's governance, engine regulations and cost reduction and should have a conclusion by the end of January.

Does @afrodude41 have any sort of excel setup? I have a bit more free time these days and can finally work on a proper template that should easily and quickly add up points.fIsince08 said:
Thanks guys and best of luck to @afrodude41 next year! I've tried my best not to fall behind, but university applications, school work and writing for two websites has taken it's toll.RevolvingPrawn said:Matt ain't the only one to appreciate it ;) I totally get why the wait for results has become longer, I was guilty of it myself lol. Good job though Chris :) I imagine you're now looking forward to handing it on like I did, even though it can be pretty fun at times :pYou'll have to ask him. I sent him the way I do it, but it's totally up to him. -

Lee left a long time ago, but when I get the results done I'll ask Jenny if there's anything she can do.VetteIfan said:
Of course ;) I'm not going to add up everyone's score but I feel fairly sure we got 2nd in the team's championship. So we didn't do too bad :pGoldenColt said:6+54=60.
Thanks for having me in your team Seb, it was a pleasure even though I know that we were both going for the win. ;)
Unfortunatly I think I saw someone say here that Lee has left Codies or something, so it doesn't look like the top 3 teams will be getting a prize anymore :( -
2 wins in a row! Unheard of! Stoke deservedly down to 10 men and two fantastic goals. The determination of Watmore is fantastic! https://twitter.com/1gunnerfan/status/670644606212644864
