I almost made a massive howler, got confused between East and West German leaders which would have ruined my answer :pPeteTheDuck said:Yeaaah... :p
Aah fair enough, tbh neither of the USA in Asia ones were good either, so just had to go for the one I felt best for (even though that was rubbish) :p Our hall wasn't too bad, it's the main massive assembly hall, but it was hot today. -
Ever heard of a PM? :pPeteTheDuck said:Oh Chris, how did the exams go today mate? One of the questions I did was good on the whole (Five Year Plans) but the second one on Nixon and Vietnam was shambolic unfortunately, just didn't know what to write about :/
I had Core 1 maths this morning, missed out 3 parts of questions but found it OK. History, I didn't really like either of the questions in either category, but I shoved in a lot of stats so hopefully it'll be OK. I was shattered by the end of it though as we were in the drama hall, which is really warm as the AC was off :p -
BTCC was used as my example twice, but again at the BTCC the pit lane is wide open (until the racing starts) and a Clio cup driver said hello to me when he was going to the loo :pPeteTheDuck said:I'll read the whole thing properly when I go to bed later but you have some good points there. Especially the fan interaction (and social media), which is dismal in Formula 1.
They need to take a leaf out of the WEC and Formula E's book. They upload short highlights of the races while they happen on Twitter and later to YouTube as well. The paddock was completely free, open and access-all-areas when I went to Silverstone for the WEC, it was so cool! Can't imagine F1 doing that unfortunately,
Heck, as I was walking out of the toilets, Neel Jani walked in to relieve himself! Imagine that with someone like Sergio Perez in F1. -
I don't normally do this, but I think this could create an interesting discussion. I've written an article for Formula Update (clickety click) about how I think F1 can be improved and want your thoughts. -
"Which one are you?"RevolvingPrawn said:Talking of women, just seen an ex has sent me a message on FB saying "Hey... how's things?? X".
My wit has abandoned me so would anybody like to choose a reply for me? Bear (
) in mind that this girl screwed me over in the end by getting back with her ex behind my back, but I was friends with her for about 6 years before anything happened... So something sassy but not too scathing please ;)
I'm leaning towards "Hmm, I thought I'd blocked you" :p -
His true love must have worked out this time!Hughesy said:Where's Rohan and his vivid imagination when you need him :joy: -
I've deleted the spam post but can't find the ban control on my phone, so it might come back.

It's in the highway code too.Hughesy said:
You must've had a really crap driving instructor then :joy:PeteTheDuck said:Yeah I only found out you could do that just now when my Dad told me! Can't believe I didn't know about it before!
Oh right I see, well good luck mate! I have a couple of friends resitting a Maths module tomorrow morning as well so they'll probably be doing the same paper as you!
-
That's why you're supposed to leave it in gear ;)PeteTheDuck said:Because my actual driving is seemingly quite good!
But seriously, I'm going to have to get the handbrake looked at and sorted out this weekend. I can't have this kind of thing happening again.
Yeah, I'm doing my AS levels but I do Germany from 1918-45 and 45-91, then the Tudors in the other topic. -
It's been done elsewhere: http://www.huwselby.com/f1/f1vids.htm, https://sidepodcast.com/post/classic-f1-videos-from-the-bbcPeteTheDuck said:
Oh yeah I remember that! That took me ages putting it all together, and coding the links so it all worked!RevolvingPrawn said:If anybody had asked I'd have just said you were mature for your age :p
Something kinda random, do you remember a post you did years ago on vbulls which had links to every single one of the race highlight things the BBC put up? Think you even put in brackets which were long highlights and which were short. I had that post bookmarked and watched every one of the links you put up :) That was shortly before I started posting much more regularly.
I wish that post still existed, as it would be great now to just go back to it and pick a random race to watch. I remember I put them into different events too, like all the old Aussie GP's, etc
Also, good luck to any of us doing exams! I have my first two tomorrow - maths and history. -
Ouch, this was an injury in the league 2 play off: (GRUESOME)

YES! MASSIVE win today! -
Because the conservatives believe in Thatcherism - privatising everything and anything to help their big rich partners make as much money as possible at the expense of the north, the working class and the poor.PeteTheDuck said:I don't see why people are saying stuff like 'bye NHS'. Like really, pathetic...
Really pleased with the result, I can't believe how disappointing Labour and Lib Dems were though. Shame for UKIP though as Luke said, they deserve more than one seat, without a doubt. -

It's better than it was, but that doesn't take much... -
Jeremy Clarkson, a racetrack, a Corvette and a suspicious Hammond lookalike... I like what I see!

No, combined with the election and Princess Cambridge the news has been full of it.Hughesy said:Anyone else staying up to watch the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight? -
2-1 up! Gomez scores a second penalty and Ward-Prowse is given a straight red!
