They're all awful. Tories are only in it for them and their rich friends. Labour are all over the place. Lib Dems can't be taken seriously, neither can the Greens even though I seem to agree with most of both their policies. UKIP are ridiculous and no-one should ever consider voting for them unless they're racist.

As The Who said... Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
    UKIP are not racist.
    Disagree with you there.

    They're also homophobic and hypocritical.
You are calling an entire party racist, based on 15 comments? Then we may as write every party off. Because you could just call them all liars, since they do lie a lot.
I'm not calling them racist based on 15 comments, I'm using 15 comments as evidence. And all politicians are liars AMS :p

I fail to see how calling people born to immigrants immigrants is not racist. That is one of the main causes of racism in this country. A man who calls his own children immigrants simply for being born to a German parent is a racist idiot.

He even does it for Grandparents: ‘Prioritise social housing for people whose parents and grandparents were born locally’

In my view, you are British if you are born in Britain. End of story, discriminating because your Grandparents aren't is boderline neo Nazi.

As for the conservatives, I have seen first hand the damage that the Tories do to working class families, and even more so to the disabled. Under this government, the number of people using foodbanks has vastly shot up. There are 1500 more foodbanks in this country thanks to this government, but they just blame it on "the poor not knowing how to cook" or saying "foodbanks are for people with drug, alcohol and mental health problems".

Whoops, there's some more disabled discrimination in there! My workplace has given out food supplies to some of the families that bring their disabled kids to us, they have to choose between food or warmth. How is that right? The independent living fund, providing thousands (millions?) of disabled people with the resources to live by themselves, is cut. Disabled job centres are cut. It's ridiculous!

Oh, then there is the bedroom tax that hits thousands where it hurts the most - whilst thr rich bankers who caused the crash get tax cuts and help to avoid tax. Fair society my bottom.

  3. The origin of the word tory: mid 17th century: probably from Irish toraidhe ‘outlaw, highwayman’, from tóir ‘pursue’. The word was used of Irish peasants dispossessed by English settlers and living as robbers, and extended to other marauders especially in the Scottish Highlands.

    Robbers. Sums them up perfectly.

  4. It's simple really.
    Labour: Blame Tories, spend more
    Tories: Blame Labour, make cuts
    UKIP: Blame immigrants, be racist
Lib Dems: Don't blame us, we're useless!
    Greens: Fix the environment
    SNP: Independence!
    Plaid Cymru: Wales!

  5. You'd trust any politician? :p
Without wanting to start a massive fight of left vs right, I'll just say that realistically it's going to be a north south divide as well as rich and poor.

If Britain pulls out of the EU, we'll be isolated, without trade and lose valuable foreign business. That's bad news for my area in particular as Nissan and Komatsu provide thousands of jobs. But of course, to Westminster the country stops at Manchester. (That goes for all of the parties).

I've got dozens more reasons such as benefits and immigration but I've said enough for now.

I actually met Milliband a few years back, he's actually a nice bloke. I don't really care who gets in power as long as it's not Conservites, they seem to hate people with disabilities.
Don't vote UKIP either then, say goodbye to the NHS if that happens!
I think it'll either be a Tory-UKIP coalition or Labour-Green-Lib Dem-SNP coalition tbh. Even thinking of the first one worries me.

  7. I watched it and I'm gutted I can't vote! I miss out on it by 3 months!

I found the debate really entertaining, and Miliband was so funny last night though. I think he came across as quite patronising actually, looking deep into your soul through the camera all the time, and at the end when he repeated 'If I'm Prime Minister' about five times in the space of 20 seconds!
I liked him looking into the camera, but I agree that he said that way too much :p
