lets get it right. they crowd funded their first game. offered rewards based on how much you put in. there was tiers. they did give people parts of the forums to contribute feedback often this was ignored if if they didnt like it they would delete it edit it or remove said people from taking part. know numerous people this happened to. after only offering feedback on the physics and handling. they were then investigated by the FSA over dubious scheme they had set up for raising the money to get the game made. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-04-18-driving-ambition-pcars-crowdfunding-and-the-fsa i was a tester and offered feedback. i suggested something should be changed. two minutes later on the forums a moderator for the forums edited my post and i was banned. money returned to my account. my friend then posted why was i banned for posting physics feedback with changes ? he was then banned refunded. thats how these people worked. they didnt take feedback they just made what they wanted and banned anyone who challenged them. the funny thing was i had another account which they didnt know about so i just continued to play and watch what was happening from the sidelines. my feedback i had been removed but guess who then said the same about the handling and that was looked into ? the stig. lol. my friend tried to give feedback on the evo ingame. when he had written his post he was told he had no idea how the handling should be. he owned the exact evo in real life as in the game. so while it could be a great partnership that works im just hoping they not involved in the codie games i play. maybe they changed who knows. i hope so for the sake of codemasters and the games they make.

as i said on discord i think maybe dirt team do rally and sms do rallycross own game. as long as they dont mess with dirt game im not too bothered. pcars had terrible physics. they never listened to feedback in anyway. also dubious goings on. will be interesting how this unfolds. there is obviously a reason why this deal is happened. lets see if its about progress or selling units.

dodged the squirrels and the rabbits to bag the world record

can we please have the sector times back to how they was ? cant see if im up or down. this is in time trials. each sector just says the time now. instead of up or down . which is the whole point of time trials.

Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi – Available Now in DiRT Rally 2.0
dgeesi0 replied to PJTierney's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
final turn on yas you can cut the grass to get a better line in no penality also 3rd turn in right even slightly nipping in on right corner yields a disqualified time. the orange corner cutters even at slow speed can flip your car very easily. -
noticed in grid 2019 demon tweaks are on cars.
-
some people are saying the game is unlocking now does that mean the NDA is lifted early ?
-
i think people who love grid will love grid 2019. its really good.

the view does look great. stinking cold or video would be up

the audi would probably beat most times on the leaderboards and world records . the problem is its hard to extract that ultimate performance from it. some people can be very quick in it. the weighty bargy feeling though often brings most people to their demise. it is a great sounding car as well. if you can master this car not many would touch you in events. many cant so thats why its not normally driven that much.

just double the time taken from doing the cut as penalty or something similar. if you watch mickeys run which got him qualified without that field cut he wouldnt of won the event. people were under a second behind him. the cut saved over that. it was just driving across a whole field. it was a great drive but just imagine one of those that were in that position didnt cut that part and now have to try and qualify. they might not even get in.
-
how can you even type that ? lets just agree we have different opinions.
-
still have the boxed version of dirt 1
-
its just the case of learning. which they do in practice. no more skill than learning the event. the difference is by taking the cut you gain time and advantage.

you missunderstand me. its not optimum. ideally you want it to be as free and easy as possible to use. with least amount of effort to use. rally is different to racing around tracks. you are up down constantly. so when you trying to get the absolute out of anything going up down anything overly mechanical to use will be tiring or..slower than something that is easier to change and quicker to change with less effort. for many this wont be a issue as rally games will be played casually. not overly pushing. the thing is people who want higher end gear often fall for the assumption they will be quicker when what really happens is you are slower. yet pay the priveldge to discover that. you only have to compare the fanatec gear lever to the heusinkveld smaller one. i guarentee you that if a really fast player can get the best out of them the smaller heusinkveld will end up with better times. simply for how its made. so its not about being hard to use its you want the easiest one to use with the least effort. it doesnt need to weight 25kgs and clunk every gear change.

no the point is some wont take them because they see them as cheating or they dont know about certain cuts. that said person could finish one second behind the top guy who has cut. as said at some point someone will qualify with a cut time over someone who hasnt used a cut or cuts. and lost for it. is isnt skillful driving across a field its easy. people who are quick can do almost exactly same runs time after time within a 100th of a second. so cutting a corner isnt even a skillful thing .
-
it really needs sorting out. you seen on the normal rally event with cuts was top. some can do it close to that time with out cuts. maybe not this time round but for the next world championships it really needs to be clarified and sorted. some people are not going to qualify based on cutting. not driver skill. you seen this alone on the poland event. the time saved from cuts would of meant that person would not of been top. this at some point is going to rob someone of qualifying. whos racing legit but gets beat by a cut.

which is why i gave my opinion on the gear. after arcade because i dont like how it feels. i have driven many of the cars in the game in real life. so i do understand what i want to feel and i didnt get it from fanatec gear i tried. also nothing i tried made it feel like driving a real car.
