  1. what im finding is in certain cars im having to do things earlier.it is harder to get a car to flick in tight corners . overall though the general feel is better than dirt rally.tarmac especially.all id personally like now is so i can flick the back end easier for hairpins and such.

I'm thinking a lot of the comments will be from people who are used to DR thinking there's too much grip by comparison.
    ...
Maybe opinions will change when everyone's had a while to get used to the game.
That's my feeling as well. It's going to feel different from Dirt Rally because it's different from Dirt Rally ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think it's better and most people who have played it think it's an improvement (like Porkhammer and dgeesi0). Doesn't mean everyone will love it because you can't please everyone :D

(also, preconceptions play a part, e.g. this isn't what I expected it to be, therefore it's not as good)

this tbh.at first i wasnt sure...i played Dirt rally till blind folded knew it inside out.with this needed to adjust but now i am starting to dial it in i am realizing we are getting close to the perfect rally game or the best rally game made.only honest criticism i have is in hairpins the car doesnt want to turn but thats a small thing when in its entirity its better than anything before. i think codemasters is the people to make rally games. at some point they will make the perfect game we want its just making a " perfect game " is almost impossible ;)

So @Porkhammer . I was looking through a number of your videos on YouTube and saw in one of the comment threads where you said the game almost had to much grip. How would you rate it compared to dirt rally in that aspect?
Grip levels are completely different, kind of hard to compare them. I just feel the butt of the cars in Dirt 4 should kick out more, especially during handbrake turns.
yes on hair pins where you goto hand brake its like they stuburn pigs but overall massive improvement over Dirt rally on some cars.i just done my first night rally in Wales generated by Your stage in the Metro 6R4 ( video up soon :D) and i can honestly say nothing i played is as good.ever !

wales kinda felt flat in Dirt rally if you get my drift . in this you can feel the bumps the uneveness and you know on a 3 corner how banks or little turns are you have to be bang on catch them and your f****** :p so you really have to concentrate.

then add in night and oh my.its Dark !! your visibility is short but in a good way that really makes you listen to co driver. add in the sim handling which im using and its a battle ! sweating buckets :D. forget going to the gym. play Dirt 4. B)

  4. To be fair, the 037 in Dirt 4 is indeed easier to drive than the one in DR - but it does slap you around if you get cocky. One moment you're heading down the road, the next you're facing the forest. Throttle control still applies. The default setup makes it kind of understeery though.
its like i was making it up ! :D totally different its not a little bit.some cars are very easy to drive.some have almost a DiRT 3 handling yet some are gits.group b monsters are very fast but the brakes are like touch spin which is odd especially on 4 wheel drive :#

spent 6 hrs on it upto yet. will practice some more.

one thing that is doing my head in is the replay system and youtube.if you drive in bonnet cam and record the run.youtube makes video blurry.thats why you wont see any footage or not much of decent quality in bonnet cam.that is gutting.

Watching these videos and not being able to play is like torture... yet I'm watching them anyway.
Yea I've stopped watching them. I want to be at least a bit surprised when I first play it. Things like the flock of birds coming out of nowhere, I didn't really want to know that would happen at some point.
But it's damn hard not to...
yep im keeping the game a surprise until i play it.watched some official trailers and a little bit with a heli cam replay rest wont watch.nothing like that launch special firing up a new game.would be interesting to hear the back ground story on the guy playing the game early.seen he does mods and stuff on other racing rally games .
