  1. If a ms employee not to buy games from this developer , if I was codies I'd take them to court for slander. You might want to get your law license before spouting legal advice. The Truth is a defense to a slander charge, in the U.S., and I suspect, in Britain. While I would not ever advise my employees to tell consumers not to buy certain games, Microsoft has a vested interest in this game doing well, so advising someone not to buy from a company that cannot (repeatedly) get simple testing right, is not slander. It's protection of your own interests with the truth.
  2. Hummm... Like if all race adicts would all buy a "Space hero big adventure" game ! Yea right ! Lol They should be more concerned by other racing games coming than by destiny. :) Any well done race game that have a descent "Club" system and realistic handling will be a hard opponent. Project Cars is going to eat their lunch if it comes out as promised and CM does not get their act together. When you hear talk about being a "Forza-killer" that's serious stuff. We all like to think F1 and GRID are special, but they are really niche games. As much it pains me to say that, because I hate Forz

  4. It's pretty simple. Some bonehead didn't think to let the community test online before it was released. Would have been "problem solved" at least problem identified and maybe delaying release. Just look at the patch list. About 80% of it relates to online. There is a lesson in this, and I suspect unless CM wants Slightly Mad (who does test with the public in all modes, e.g. pCARS) or some other studio to take their F1 license, they should be very worried about getting the problem nailed down. That said, even with the bug, there are tricks to level up and buy fast. Even if you just want to play
  5. Come join the largest, most well developed, technically diverse, and GRID Autosport intensive league in the world. From Mods available directly fro our site, to leagues that currently feature Touring Cars across six classes, if you want fun, clean, fair, and organized GRID A/S racing from those who have been with it since announcement, look no further. Go to:  http://www.racedepartment.com/forums/x360-autosport-touring-car-championship.32/ Plenty of room for all skill levels. You can even have a platform to draw racers from over 200,00 members should you want to organize some Club races.
  6. Thanks for the update Loore. I think we all need to realize a couple of things. 1. You have done your best (within the bonds of corporate bureaucracy) to communicate to us directly how things are going and why they failed. If anyone deserves some sympathy it's the guy like you Loore, who takes all the heat but had nothing to do with the failure. 2. Codemasters is flawed, and maybe deeply (except Birmingham), but at least they have tried to communicate with us directly instead of walling us off. Many companies do...in fact the majority do. That does not excuse it, but it should put this is pers
  7. We have had some bizzare ghosting issues with the A.I. in our league races too. For no reason, the A.I. will ghost or may not ghost...and I know they have not lapped me or I have lapped them (that would be an intelligent feature, which is not the case in on line play).
  8. @Loore said we would have some definitive information on the console patch this week. I guess that means today. Unless all those recent edits to his patch posts have deleted any references to "this week" or similar. Or was he just talking about the PC patch and forgot to distinguish again? This is getting old. Seems like some information is not asking too much but apparently it is on the 360, for whatever reason. Appreciate the effort, but back to F1 for now.
  9. Wow, this thing is going down in flames it seems. Wonder what really happened? Have to say I'm still able to play, but with no mirrors and no patch on the horizon, I'm not sure how long that will last.
  10. Join the club! I propose we start a new Racing Club on Racenet: Corrupted Code-Masters! And instead of patching it for consoles they just announced they will reveal F1 2014 tomorrow. If that isn't laughing at us... F1 is developed in our Birmingham studio, GRID and DiRT in our Southam HQ, two separate teams. Oh but this! This simple quote says so much. Truer words have never been spoken and mean so much more than they state. (You really need to sack Southam and let Birmingham triple in size, with each employee picking two more he wants aboard, and then make real non-F1 racing games)
  11. @Loore, I'm with the earlier poster in that I specifically remember a post promising virtual mirrors in a console patch. I'll try to dig it up if I can. But, apparently, it was vague enough that you can now claim it was "PC only" with some semblance of evidence or it was an outright lie. Either way, once I find it, I hope it's the former. And if it is, please try and be more specific. Corrupt files aside, I think it's plain to 90% of serious gamers and reviewers that missing mirrors and missing pit stops were a major oversight in GRID Autosport. But oh well. I still appreciate your effort. Did
  12. This is a good idea, this poll. It shows how easy "listening to your fans" can be. And also shows that Codemasters has selective hearing. But at least some hearing is better that none at all, like at T10.
  13. Exactly as Peter said..... You can't even work around the missing elements to "fake it" so to speak in online play because the design is so poorly constructed. If they simply added qualifying and also added the ability to order each race subsequent to race #1 (if you qualify...just like in offline) it would be acceptable. Practice would be gravy at this point, but I still don't see why online wasn't a mirror of offline.
  14. @Loore Do you have any reason or good answers for this? Will it be fixed? I play in a league on a fairly large website that enjoys the F1 games tremendously, so it's frustrating to know that the Codies are capable of doing certain things with online play but don't in GRID Autosport. Codemasters raved about Custom Cup before release, and I think it's fair to say they delivered when in comes to online play...BUT... Then you go to create a game in Custom Cup online and it's very weak in comparison. I mean, the handling and visuals are still there but there are several things missing: 1.) Why di
