What's up with Leagues? We're looking at potential new functionality, but obviously very keen to fix anything that's broken. The repair system is broken, you can only repair like 2% of the car.  Some kind of bug, it doesn't use your engineers. There are other issue(s) also I just can't think of it right now.  @enamel help me out here

So a little DiRTY gossip glitch I just realized I've been dealing with for months, since the RX update.  I'm sure that some of you may have seen me posting about glowing rotors at all times, but even after game integrity checks through Steam it remained.  I just updated my Fanatec drivers tonight and it's gone.  There must have been some conflict, even though I had 5% deadzone  and in game and my Fanatec software didn't show any dragging brakes at rest.  I'VE BEEN DRIVING WITH DRAGGING BRAKES FOR MONTHS. A whole league season, and wondering why I can't beat the AI sometimes.  Damn..

Is anyone sure that league cars are all fully upgraded even if you don't own them?

The DiRTY Gossipers new year's resolution should be to stop multiple page long arguments about car model names.  :)

I'm halfway done with a new video I'm making for the 1.0 release of Dirt Rally.  Have a lot more content I can use since I did the As The Rush Comes video.  This time I'm keeping it 100% just rally footage and it's not all slow mo.  Hoping to have it wrapped up tonight! I need a couple of crash shots, the crashes in DR are def a weak point so it's hard to get one that looks natural.  If you have one that is in 1080p/30fps please let me know.

Why aren't the major news sites (minus the horrid PC gamer review) reviewing full release Dirt Rally?  Nothing from IGN, Gamespot, Gametrailers etc.  It could definitely use the exposure!

Yeah, Latvala is my second favorite driver in the WRC.  Don't get me wrong I can appreciate just how good Loeb and Ogier are at the pinnacle of the sport, but they are clinnicle, and not very interesting personalities tbh.  I would love to see Latvala really challenge Ogier next year, and that no BS team orders like Citroen did for years get in the way of that.  I hope 2016 is Latvala's year, he's a great personality in the sport and has been at it for many years, plus he just has a great style to his driving that is fun to watch. Even though I'm American I have a soft spot for British drivers, I love Mcrea/Burns/Meeke etc.  Would love to see Kris mix things up next year.

I really hope Meeke has a better season in 2016, you can just tell watching the rally reviews how truly upset he gets about letting the team down or crashing out.  He was in tears when he won Argentina, he really deserved it.  He has the pace to compete with the best, but Ogier is on another level and Latvala is very close to Ogier.  I think the VW is just the better car at the moment, rarely breaks down if ever and just seems unbeatable.  I remember watching a couple of post stage interviews with drivers from Ford, Citroen etc, they say they are pushing 110% and couldn't do anything else but they just can't match the Polo stage times.  I hope 2016 mixes things up, watching Ogier win constantly is getting stale.  We've seen that for almost a decade with Loeb.  I'd love to see Meeke, Paddon, Mads, or someone else start winning rallys.  When the fight for a world championship is over half way through the season, it kinda sucks.

I only got the time to test the Polo and Sweden last night.  The snowbanks are really well done. I'd say it makes Sweden the hardest stages to really go 100% flat out on cause if you nick the front end into the banks it can considerably slow you down or in most cases spin you around instead of going into a small ditch that does nothing. Double edged sword though cause you can use them to your advantage too if you touch the side/rear of the car to get you back onto the stage.  Really fun stages tho and the notes are pretty good, considering I had zero experience on the stages and finished my 12 stage league event relying solely on the notes. Polo is brutal!  Feels very fast, sounds great, and handles very predictably.  I agree the seq shifting does seem slower than it is in real life, but maybe they slowed it down to make it more competitive with the other 2010's. Makes me sad early access is done and there isn't any more plans for new countries/cars/content.  :'(

There is so many things in that video that would be cool to have in the next DiRT Rally game.  People could be there if they where all like brick walls, unrealistic when you hit them, but would enforce the value of the lives and deter you from hitting them.  It would make for some really tight stages, they would have to be animated though.   Anyhow, done dreaming/wishing.  Great video!   Of course @griev0r I have watched that video many many times, it was one of the first artistic videos done for DiRT Rally and really one of the few.   Thanks man!!

Haha that is such a good analogy.  Now that it seems to be coming to an end, it's sad almost!  Getting new content/features/fixes to play and then the next month or two you get more and more!  It has kept it so engaging, I wish it didn't have to end  :'(

Hope we get some info on WW tomorrow in the road book, I cannot friggen wait for Sweden.  Snow rallies in RSRBR when I used to play were some of the funnest, and how the testers and @KickUp confirmed how tight and technical the stages are hell yeah.  Plus there are some very high speeds in Sweden similar to Wales and Finland.  I'm especially intrigued to see how the cars react to snow banks, and wonder if you can get stuck if you stuff it too bad.  Bring it onnnn!

I'm pretty sure the trailers for each update didn't release until the update was released.  We might get a screenshot in the road book this week but I doubt any more than that.

Hmmm achievements usually come out less than a week before release... Monday?

What a lineup to compliment the Fiesta and Mini!  Don't get me wrong I love driving the historic cars, but theres something about new WRC cars they are so god damn fast and fun to drive.  Bring it on! I'm usually the type of person to go for the underdog (i20), but the Polo just looks so sick.  The DS3 is a legendary proven winner too.  Hope we get them all.

DiRT 3 was built with 8 cars on track at all times as part of the foundation. That meant that every car and track was built to cope with that. In DiRT Rally the stages are longer and contain more detail than they did in DiRT3 and they were built with the focus being a single car on stage. The Rallycross tracks are smaller and the Rallycross cars have been built with lower levels of detail (something that the Rally cars don't have). Understandable, but what about being able to get in a lobby with friends set up an event and run at the same time with just times at the end of the stage/event?  Surely that can be implemented maybe? I think even more importantly is more detailed results for leagues.  Not knowing where you placed on a stage except for the first stage is really annoying.  We need individual stage times as well as overall.  I know you mentioned it in the latest dirt show but it seems like we are only getting stage times on the website and not after we finish a stage in game.

@KickUp Don't worry about the whiners/haters.  We are getting 4 more iconic rally cars that should drive differently than what we already have.  And, what we already have is an amazing assortment of the best rally cars from the past and present.  The car list is already amazing and just getting better!  People writing off the update cause the Subaru has a wing, sheesh, better than nothing!  Plus who cares as long as it drives fun and is competitive with the Mitsubishi. Keep up the good work guys we love Dirt Rally!

Well put Kev, agree completely.  I also think using the hood view is a pretty decent advantage to someone who uses an interior view.  Can see more, both sides of the car, and no dirty windscreen/wipers/splash effect.  I thought there was an option to restrict to in car views when you set up a league... no?
