  1. Sure they could, just show the tire tread. Then people will have to really research for that exact pattern, and which cars use it most often.
  2. Why do you need other testers? Surely you have DiRT 3?
  3. That's not really how this game has worked. There's never been anything about Hill Climb on the timeline after Pikes Peak, so it's not like it's been abandoned or cancelled.  They've just already released everything they said they were going to. Now they are talking about an all-gravel version of PP. That's not abandoning it. As for coding, if it was that simple it would already have been done like it was for DiRT 3. Same applies for adding new tiles for replacement car liveries. That system has changed since DiRT 3 and is much less moddable. Hmm. I'm still sticking to my story that
  4. There's no such thing as dust in Wales at the time of year it is set in. Which why I said Greece :p Ah I see, I miss read it, thought you were saying Greece had more dust than other locations like Wales :) Should compare it to PP, that should also have plenty of dust.

  6. Very nice, look's like I've just garnered a new interest in DR, But it means I'm going to have to make a lot of duplicate folders... I wonder if there's any way to get into the code files to just remove the restrictions? If only my programmer friend was interested in DR. I think we're hopeful that v1 of the game, or very soon after it when all the cars are v2, will remove those restrictions wherever possible. Other cars on Pikes Peak has been long talked about and it makes even more sense now after deals for more Hill Climb cars fell through. Licensing issues may force RX cars to stay on
  7. Please, someone...??  Eventually i'm going to release it so please could someone be so kind to help me? Yeah, I could try it too, but it might be better if it was a car that's in DR, not many people still play DiRT 3.
  8. If you're renaming all the RX files, then yes. It's all in that folder. I've taken the Impreza, as a Celica, up Pikes Peak with the Impreza physics. Was a joy. 9. How do you keep finding all these damn things?
  10. All while holding beer in hand and swatting whatever the hell was on her.
  11. I've also been playing on a Xbone controller as of late, and it's actually surprisingly good. Wonder if they could work in the rumble triggers?
  12. So I take you didn't grab CMs cheatware wheel then?
  13. Yes i know, evereyone wants PvP rally i think, i say that the game is able to put more than one Car in stage, maybe it is not posible because of money The Rallycross tracks are way smaller and put less load on the engine. They've said a couple times the MP rally isn't possible.
  14. So as a show of good faith, I would like to ask anyone and everyone to head over to the suggestion box where I made a poll to Geolocate the DiRT community. I think it would be nice to show the diversity (or perhaps lack thereof) of the dirty mongrels in the community, and perhaps to help show what languages would need more or less support. Here's looking at you Spain and Italy.
  15. Look on the bright side, At least the guys at CM offered you a new wheel. I hear it's a Thrustmaster. Yeah, that wheel seems a right beast! I'm not sure how I feel going up against someone with a wheel like that brandished by the Dev's themselves. It probably has cheatware in it.

  17. Kind of off topic, but was there ever a page or poll that showed where people live? By the time I wake up, every else has basically gone to sleep... :|
  18. Do they mean *they* can't slide the car in dirt? That's what I said, but they said you have to drive twice as fast as you would in real life.  I have no problems sliding at all, even at low speed. They seem to need some practice! ;) Yeah, but your magical skills of controlling virtual multiperson transportation systems is not a force to be challenged.
  19. thx for the honest feedback Paul, I somehow hate licensing , but it's part of the business nowadays.. Though I hope one day , we get an R-GT class with a Tut"heel" Porsheee 811 and then we finally all laugh about licensing  :p I do think EA's licensing contract with Porsche is supposed to be ending soon, hopefully Porsche decides to not renew it and more games can finally stop using RUF's.
  20. It's amazing how quick and how well that 4.5 ton vehicle moved.
  21. FXX Evoluzione?! I'd prefer the continental.
  22. Well, driving games aren't racing games ;) Or rather, they shouldn't be made into ones. First Driver games are a perfect examples of driving games, not racing games. TDU started mixing things, which is why I found those games utterly boring while I love first and second Driver. And I would say fictional makes it more interesting, as with non-fictional there's nothing... new. Or Unseen. Generally there's lack of things you don't expect to see. In other words, well executed fictional world will be more interesting than a non-fictional one. Thing is, non-fictional are easier to make, especially n
  23. Some of those ideas they have in there could be really cool. I kind of like the Forza Horizon idea, but all those open world off road games I've played get really boring and generic. It would have to be done excruciatingly well, but it could be awesome. I think they should go for an off road sim that has everything dirt 2 and 3 had. I think they need a sim game and an simcade game, kind of like Forza. Some of those options came way out of left though, rockcrawling? Really? There's like 150 southern hicks that do that, and they've never even heard of video games.
  24. Would love to see the PP stages (and reverse options) available for custom rally, but I believe either that or allowing rally cars in hillclimb mode will come at one point. Hopefully both. However, I'm pretty certain there was never a 'hillclimb update' scheduled on the timeline. Personally, I'm glad for that as I prefer the rally content. Well the funny thing is, to me it seems like they could do that fairly easily, but they've kind of said it's not happening. I feel like they released PP and everyone hates hillclimb so much for some reason that they basically pulled the plug on it.
