  1. Well I spent a couple of hours, running these 1 lap indy oval races, against AI,  to get my car to lvl 50.

With the lvl 50 car i've smashed my time,

Gone from 30th to 5th,  still fine tuning.  definitely feels more powerful.

  2. Doesnt Bump drafting involve the car behind boosting the car in front,  actual contact by the car behind pushing the car infront whilst drafting?

    This was collisions off too.

I now have a lvl 50 lola, in a working savegame.  Now to go corrupt that savegame by upgrading the car.

  3. Im ranking the car up to lvl 50, but not buying any upgrades or tuning in any way,  When it gets to lvl 50 i will save the game, then do the challenge,

Then the game will be corrupt.

So I'll reload my game, still having a lvl 50 car.

This is the 3rd time, ive had to lvl this car, due to corruption BS

  4. Anyone fancy some 1 lap races around the oval?

Thanks CM for allowing our own cars in this Intel challenge,   We all thought party mode was no tuning and use loan cars,  But for some reason you have decided to help make the competition UN-fair.

What about the people who dont have a lvl 50 car?

Fully upgraded car, may only offer a small performance increase, but if that saves you half a second, each lap, over 3 laps...........................................

JUST GET SOMETHING RIGHT WILL YOU CM!

  5. consoles are great. You buy a game, put it in and it works.   You don't need to be a pc engineer to load the game. Unlike pc games.   Steam won't load due to certain anti virus... Etc.  Drivers may be out of date, you may need the latest dot net framework from MS.

Fairly simple probs, but if you only know how to turn it on.... Could be frustrating.

  6. if the stupid matchmaking service would only realise, when you leave a lobby,  you don't want to go back into the he same lobby, if you search immediately.

I will join a lobby, if I see people I don't want to race against, I'll try and find a different one.

  7. Then why say "ignore RTA "    I also did not say they were true sims. But what is a true sim?

Maybe the consoles are not capable of running the games u mention.

As for true sims, no game pc or console is going to be anywhere near to an F1 simulator used by real F1 drivers.

I don't think there are any true sim games.

A true sim, is a car or cockpit on hydraulics.  like F1 and NASA use.  Although NASA don't race, it's for space training.

  8. @Monster227 - here my take on this.    (This is not me having a go at you in anyway)   If your the rightful number 1 on the XP leaderboard, then it should show you as number 1.  Being number 1 is an achievement to be proud of.   I know its only a game, but its still Rank 1 on a global leaderboard.  So my sincere congratulations on being number 1.   I would like to be number 1, I think everyone would like to see their name next to the number 1.

However........XP leaderboards,  simply list the amount of XP each player/club has earned.  I realise you get more XP by winning, than being last.  But that said,  to bank so much XP requires a lot of time playing.     (nothing wrong with that,  I used to have lots of time, but not at the moment)

Because of that, I will never look at an XP leaderboard and automatically assume the number 1 player is a really good player.  Unless that player also appears in the top 5 on the racenet challenges, most of the time, and Time Trial leaderboards when available.

There were some pretty terrible players on Grid 2, who played since day 1 and played more than me, and were higher in the XP leaderboard than me.  But these players were no where to be seen when it came to lap times, or checkpoints or racenet challenges.    So in those cases the XP leaderboard is worthless.

  9. LOL @ ignore RTA,   LOL LOL

@Robmufc1987 -  You need to inform TURN10 studios, Microsoft, and ALL the gaming sites, magazines that review games, that they are all wrong.

If anyone plays Forza Motorsport they will find it IS a sim.

We dont need a week long insult slinging match here, you are simply wrong in this case.  It is a SIM,  every review says its a SIM.

  10. forza 5 is the full sim racing game. Horizon is the arcade style. Still has upgrades but no tuning.  Cars have a lot more grip. Horizon is very pick up n play. But with forza 5 you need to tune the car to make them competitive.

  11. Forza is an Xbox exclusive,  but as 4 is very similar to 5,  I havnt bother with an xbox one yet.

If project cars is as good as its hyped up to be, ill be buying an xbox one for that game.   But right now, there isnt a single game on xbox one that interests me.

  12. I got Platinum by something like 30ft on my 3rd attempt and left. Does it really matter about leaderboards or how much you beat Platinum by?

No it doesnt really matter.   But the higher you get the more money you get.  Also, some people like to see where their times place, against the rest of the world.

LOL Are you for real? Do everyone a favour and re-read your posts. Maybe, just maybe you'll realize how silly you make yourself sound. In all fairness I'm going to just assume your a child who doesn't really play well with others and as such I'll leave you to carry on and prove me right.

Yes im for real,  Ive  not seen 1 video from you?   Yet your on a very tall, and very smug horse.

I re-read my posts before i post them,  I also play VERY well with others,  I just dont play very well with IDIOTS.

Idiots get smashed, clean racers get raced.

The ONLY people who have a problem with me, are the ones who cannot race properly and fairly.   If you have raced me, and kept it clean, then you got it back.

If your not on the xbox, then you have ZERO experience in racing against me.

I was actually enjoying this game even though the physics, etc were not what I was used to with the FM3/4 games.  I could even deal with no stupid rear view mirror!  I enjoyed the multiple race series with the cumulative points in career mode than harkened me back to my GT2/3/4 game days.  That was missing in FM3/4.  But having these endless parades of bugs, bugs and more bugs really worries me.  I've always tried to give constructive criticism but I am at a loss.  I have 2 saves now.  One on my HD and another in the cloud.  But I am closing in on that mythical 199sp races death knell mentioned in these forums.  I have sold all my cars but have tinkered with the basic tuning in career.  My option is to play and hope or just go back to maybe PGR4 (which I have in the last week) that I still have a ton of fun with and is surprisingly similar in gameplay and have no bugs at all.  I may not be very good at these driving games but one look at my stable you can see that's pretty much all I play.  Oh, wait I can jump into Motocross Madness that Microsoft gave me for free this month.

get a memory stick and back up your game.

If you playing online, and your cars are lvl 30 and above, Id sell them all, and you wont get a corrupt game. Been working for me, 440 races now.

You will end up will millions in the bank though.......oh wait, thats a good thing.   45million in the bank, strange how I dont car about repair costs now,   LOL.

I just cant play PGR4 any more, the graphics and handling is terrible.   Cars are soooooooooooooooo unresponsive,,  full lock or straight.

Awesome game 4 years ago though.................................." Yooooouurrrr Going the wrong WAAAAAYYYYYYYY"   LMFAO
