PETITION: OFFICIAL TV GRAPHICS FOR F1 2019
scottishwildcat replied to AllenB2609's topic in General Discussion
P.S. Don't forget there are also quite a lot of us who don't want them, and are quite happy with the current graphics. People who are happy with the status quo just don't tend to bother responding to polls. -
POLL | Race Driver: Grid - Remastered
scottishwildcat replied to LpMatt's topic in General Discussion
I still have and play Racedriver Grid, so I have no reason to buy another version. -
"Storied" just means "celebrated" or "legendary".

Why does F1 esports have to be a "simulation" rather than just a game? Nobody complains that FIFA or COD esports aren't "sim enough".

Feedback and ideas for F1 2020

This was confirmed many years ago, though admittedly the terms may have changed since then. -
No Online Championship on F1 2019
scottishwildcat replied to FartingTurtle37's topic in General Discussion
Removing features is an extremely important part of any ongoing software development, to reduce code bloat and testing complexity, and clear technical debt. The trick, of course, is only to remove features that aren't used by enough people to make them cost-effective to maintain. Whether they've done that in this case, only Codemasters will know. But one thing's for sure -- they will certainly know exactly how many people were using that feature, and that will have factored into their decision. -
Well yes. simulation | sɪmjuːˈleɪʃ(ə)n | noun [mass noun] imitation of a situation or process
-
Why on earth would you buy it at all if you think it's that bad? Just gives them more incentive to keep doing what they're doing -- Codemasters don't care what you paid for your copy, only how many it sold.

PETITION: OFFICIAL TV GRAPHICS FOR F1 2019

That's a pity... it's a horrible font that's hard to read at the best of times, let alone while you're trying to drive a car during a race. -
"Layoffs hit F1 and Dirt developer Codemasters"

But F1 development unaffected, according to Eurogamer. -
Please give attention to that GRID Autosport does NOT work under Linux, hanging forever at the starting logo splash screen. Thanks. Feral Interactive are responsible for the Linux port, so you'll have to take that up with them. http://support.feralinteractive.com/en/mac-linux-games/gridautosport/

What do you want in F1 2014? GAME IDEAS
scottishwildcat replied to mateyapfc's topic in General Discussion
See, we've got nearly all of this now and people are still moaning ;) -
Fortunately, England gave us far more entertainment than Scotland would've done, and we didn't even have to pay to go anywhere. Win win! :D

Announcing F1 2015. [Blog Comments]
scottishwildcat replied to CodiesBlogBot's topic in News & Announcements
I'm quite sure the development team were well aware of the bugs, and are probably as disgusted as we are at a lot of them. Unfortunately, at most software companies, the development team don't get to decide when the product ships, especially when they've already slipped by a month. Well, the good news is that demand was pretty high, if the UK charts are anything to go by. So let's hope that gives them some extra incentive. -

It's already been updated 3 times for PC and once for PS4. First Xbox One patch is still in the works. Don't expect new features in the patches though, just bugfixes and occasional car updates. -

Please report these issues on the official PS4 bugs thread, keeping them in the one place makes it easier for CM to track them, and for us to see if our issues have already been reported. -

It will not work on the Xbox 360 at all. -

If they added co-op back tomorrow, it would still be horrible. They've got a whole heap of bugs to fix with the general online gameplay first. -

How is the car setup limited? It offers the same or more options than all CM's previous F1 games. (Other than the lack of brake bias adjustment in the garage on consoles, which is an odd oversight, but you can still adjust it on-track.) -

It certainly works on some PCs with a 360 game pad... no problems at all with mine. -
Well, at the end of the day, it will succeed if enough people like what they're doing and back them again, and it will fail if people feel like they're being fleeced and don't. Which, in a way, is more refreshingly transparent than what goes on at a lot of companies.
