It's not that they don't have optimization skills that Codies have, they don't have optimization skills at all. An ogre would've done a better job at optimising the game than them. And that's without even using the keyboard xD

What I'm interested about when it comes to online RX, is will we be able to have a race of 6 people, not 2 races of 4? It's quite silly when the 5th player comes into a lobby and then the race changes to one with 3 people and one with 2 people. It should divide players when it goes above 6 IMO. Or give an option when creating a lobby to limit it to only 6 people (or bump the limit up to 12 from 8).

The main reason why I don't watch him is because he's one of the "LET'S SHOUT ABOUT EVERYTHING IN THE MOST ANNOYING AND OVERHYPED WAY POSSIBLE!!!" YouTuber's out there. For me to watch him for more than 5 seconds, I need to throw something through the window. So watching him is an expensive thing for me xD

If they want the game on PS4 at all, they need to include a PS4 Pro version, as those are rules Sony pushed out. So you will see a version with a higher resolution and maybe a 1080p with higher graphical preset as an extra option but that's pretty much all when it comes to any extra stuff in terms of PS4 Pro.

Well, that was a shot in the foot from you, you can see at the 1:22 in the video that there is indeed a small splash going on the front bumper. Now he'll never get off the devs back until they implement it xD :D inb4 1/10 - No water splashes on front bumper IGN

I for example get more immersion from chase camera since it gives me the field of view that is closer to real one when compared with any other camera. Only a triple monitor setup or a VR will beat that, but since I ain't got any... chase camera it is for me :P It's really not that hard to wrap your head around the concept of different people having different priorities when it comes to different things.

Well, they are in Barcelona RX round, so pretty much everything they'll post on twitter/instagram is nothing more than some nice finds, not actual gossip. That's of course the sane reasoning, the Gossip Thread reasoning is nothing more than those are the cars that will be in the up to 2000cc class xD

Cut the obstinate quotes next time. The quote is 5 cuts too short.

Sounds like brakes in DiRT 4 are overpowered. Codies nerf plz xD

My mum finally got her first LCD TV just a week ago and that's only because the 30" Thomson (big box, but great image) she'd been using went bust. One thing is certain though... it's much easier to read the score on matches now xD On that old Thomson you had to take a magnifying glass to figure out if it's 6, 8 or 9 xD

I can say with 100% certainty those are 1080p 60FPS max settings requirements. DR at 4K requires a 980Ti/1070, so I can't imagine D4 to require a 980... unless they forgot to add the SLI there xD

Actually it's under 2 seconds. But who's counting anyway, eh? xD

Witcher 3 would have a word with you on that subject xD That thing has massive loading times, even on a PC xD

The concerning thing about it is why they put that on a Metro? I hope they aren't planning any technical issues xD

I probably just found the oldest piece of gossip about DiRT 4, which was available if I recall correctly from the very launch of DiRT Rally... we really need to up our gossip game xD
-
Master difficulty in DR was from what was said essentially a times set by the fastest dev in the studio. Then they added some percentage multipliers to adjust for different conditions, difficulty etc. In DiRT 4 due to the fact that they have infinite amount of tracks, they can't go that way, so the difficulty is most likely going to be something similar to the one in DiRT 3 I would imagine. And to be honest, on some stages the AI in DiRT 3 on the hardest level was stupendously fast.

You can overclock your monitor always. I run my LG IPS234 which normally has a refresh rate of 60Hz constantly at 74Hz now for the past... I don't know, pretty much from the moment I got it, which was over 3 years ago. It's not much but I do notice the difference quite well.

If that would be the case, Adam will be lonely without Eve xD

Don't worry. I use Dxtory to limit FPS and I limit it to 2FPS more than my refresh rate. That for whatever reason drastically reduces screen tearing. Not sure if that just somehow naturally syncs the FPS with the refresh rate or what, but it does wonders. Any form of V-Sync will add input lag even if you use external limiters. If you do use external limiters, turn off V-Sync completely. G-Sync and Freesync are a different story though. They just make each frame perfectly synced with your FPS amount and it adds a lot to perceived smoothness (but it adds a tiny bit of input lag). Freesync is cheaper but you also have to watch out for the monitors, cause it's panel dependent, unlike G-Sync. And given that you do have a 970, G-Sync sounds like the best option. Unless you'll be changing to AMD with the Vega launch.

You forgot to mention that Triple Buffering adds its own input lag as well. On top of that apparently 3rd party software that allows frame limiting adds their own input lag as well. Battlenonsense channel has few nice videos that show the different delays at different settings. TL;DR; In-game FPS limiter is better than any other frame limiter, V-Sync is evil, triple buffering even more so.

For me the situation is very simple: DR for the rally bit, D4 for the rallycross bit.

Hey, it was the first thing that popped out on google images when I typed "rally argentina". What was I supposed to do, ignore it and post a normal screenshot with epic looking scenery? xD

They did make a lot of jokes on the number plates, but those were always improvised, not scripted. Top Gear does a lot of scripting, but any number plate jokes they made was not scripted, they all been pure coincidence. Also I still can't understand how some people made a connection between a number plate of "H982 FKL" and the Falkland war. First of all, when you're giving a year, it's either full date or just the tenths, aka either 1982 or '82. You don't do "982", so that automatically implies it's not a date. That sounds more like a number of a submarine or something. And then there's the "FKL" part. If I was to shorten "Falkland" into 3 letters, it would definitely be "FLK", not "FKL" as that sounds more like "F**k lands" rather than "Falkland". The problem is not in whether the guys looked for some number plate that relates to that war, but more on the fact that there's a bunch of Argentinians that see the Falkland war on everywhere that is British related. I wouldn't be surprised if they found DiRT to be an insult to them, because it's made by a British company... But let's stop beating a dead horse and move on. So I'll jump on the rally argentina screenshots bandwagon xD
