After reading everything Paul has been saying, as well as the people who have had a crack at the pre-alpha, I'm gonna have to be that guy and say that I'm just really fucking horny for this game. Sorry, not sorry.

I am so excited by the potential of the stage generator. I'm also really appreciating the devs catering to both sim people and more easy-going people for two separate experiences.

I've been near inactive on the forums for over a week. I came back to this thread and expected gossip. Got recreational drugs instead.

I really hope they don't fuck WRC 6 up. I'd just really like some good competition for DR, even if it's just for the sole purpose of once again having an official WRC games that's great fun to play. Obviously there hasn't been that level of fun since the Evo Studios PS2 days.  There's hope when they're actively listening to the feedback from their first game though (longer and narrower stages), because let's not forget, their first attempt had to be rushed due to when they were brought in to develop the game. WRC 5 was never gonna be great. They seem to be a lot more interactive with their fanbase as well, a lot more so than Milestone ever were. They're talking to people pretty much daily on their Facebook and Twitter. I've even had several responses from them within an hour of tweeting.  Fingers crossed!

I wouldn't expect any less from Milestone I think you meant to say "any better" ;) Yup, because I can definitely still expect less from them, because they're outrageously shite.

Mystery, nobody knows if Hyundai are angry with him and they dont provide the same Car that is near the polo like the one which Hayden and Sordo uses or he is not in his mood and he have massive lacks of confidence. Paddon has said that they're all treated as equals at Hyundai, and they don't actually have a labelled No. 1 driver. So they're all using the same spec car. 

Me too! On the broadcast he went quite wide on a few corners, so he really did put in an incredible drive to still win by that margin. The rest of his stage must have been near flawless. 

My heart hasn't raced so fast since... well, since yesterday when Everton almost beat Man United. At least Paddon didn't let me down like Everton did! :D

True. Ogier still needs to push to win, so maybe he'll go a bit too wide on one of those tight corners with the rock-faces and knock something loose. All the pressure is on Paddon though :(  Ogier is an animal when he gets into the zone. At times he looks more forbidding than Loeb did. 

Oh wow, Ogier just took 20 seconds out of Paddon's lead in SS17 :(  He only has a 2.6 second lead now.  He sounded broken in the post-stage interview. Sordo was faster than him in that stage.  I can't see him winning unless Ogier makes a mistake, which is a real shame. 

Paddon on stage in 6 mins! Gonna follow it via WRC+ Live Maps.  EDIT: Ogier is flying... it's worrying. 

Are you **** kidding me? Are you and him lovers? You must be reading a completely different comment to me, because nowhere in my comment was there any harsh criticisms, given the context. I clearly posed my comment as a quest to gain knowledge on that particular incident.  Seriously, wind your neck in and stop being on the defensive. I was just wanting to have a discussion about it.  Not that I need to justify it to you, but I really like JML, and would have him win titles over any other driver in the WRC due to how much he's deserved it, and the bad luck he's had over the years. So just settle down and see the comment for what it was.  Not to say @gheeD 's comment was OK, but only thing you really wondered in your message was if their recce skills are good enough... It was mechanical failure and that it, no reason to speculate more. Nah, I was wondering about the integrity of the part that failed

Pal, I wasn't aggressively opposing your opinion, I was genuinely wondering because I didn't know for sure. Fucking hell. How dare I start a discussion to try and gain knowledge! That'll teach me. 

I don't know whether the damage was the result of what would happen 9 times out of 10, or whether it was a freak failure of the component, but I think I would have had that rock step in my notes! 

I love Jon! He's a great guy, too. His commentary is great, which isn't surprising because he's covered the WRC for many years. Never fails to be boring.
