real life 2020 FIA World Rally Championship

It basically looks like the i20 took even more steroids. I think all manufacturer cars are gonna end up looking pretty similar in 2017. I think the i20 2016 went with a VW style design, and it looks like the C3 is going for the same approach. I suppose it's a case of, "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!" -

To elaborate on your comment, which is what I think you meant to say, is that 30 fps is unacceptable if the framerate is due to poor optimisation on either the console's part or the dev's part. In Driveclub's case the framrate issues are down to the latest consoles being outdated before they were even released. On the other hand, 30 fps is acceptable if it's a legitimate creative choice, to give the game a cinematic effect, to contribute to the experience and atmosphere of the game. No, I meant that 30 fps is just unacceptable. Meaning I wouldn't buy any game that has a locked framerate of 30 regardless of wether it was a design decision (which I doubt) or if my hardware can handle it. Interesting opinion. For performance games, like any form of motorsport, I would prefer to have 60 fps. However, for anything that isn't sport and doesn't require reflexes, I'd be okay with 30 fps if it's intended. There are many great games that have ran at 30 fps that I would never shut out just because they were not 60 fps. I actually think general cinematics look odd at 60 fps. -

I absolutely adored playing their WRC titles growing up, and I loved Driveclub, too. They really are a talented bunch, and I would love to see a proper WRC project happen from a merged team bursting with passion for rally. It was clear to see in Evo's WRC games the love and dedication pouring out onto the screen as you played it. Like with Driveclub on PS4, their WRC games were some of the best looking games on the PS2. The content was authentic and cared for, and they managed to make an accessible game whilst keeping the hardcore souls happy. This new dream team can do great things! -

You're gonna have a character model in the game taking pictures of your rally car which will also be in the game? -

Some of the modern tarmac spec Mk2's upset me. They grip-wobble down a road, instead of crazy-wobble like they used to. -

Looks like the old extreme concept cars on Evo Studios WRC games weren't so far-fetched after all. I suppose they were very accurate predictions, actually, just like when Jim Morrison predicted the path popular music would take. It does look like a vicious design, but after seeing what Gronholm had to report, I'm really not looking forward to 2017. If they have lifeless behavior from the outside, and they're easy to drive on the inside, then I'll be very disappointed. They're designed to be faster with better aero, which is pointless when drivers like JML are speaking truths when stating that they wouldn't want any more speed on rallies like Finland, etc. because it then becomes a safety issue. I don't think the WRC needs more speed, I think it needs more pure action. Like Vatanen said a few months ago, give the drivers RWD cars and make it a spectacle. It'll take more skill, and provide a lot more entertainment. There's a reason why the Mk2 Escort is my favourite rally car of all time, beyond it's looks. -

I've not played DR in a couple of days, because I wanna save myself for the new content, so I can experience all of the feels. -

I would LOVE to see Spain in there. A tarmac and gravel rally in one event. -

I think NZ is different enough from Wales. The scenery is even more breathtaking, the roads are a lot more cambered and undulating, and the road surface can vary quite a bit. Where Wales is your generic forest road gravel, NZ has that as well as thicker based gravel surfaces, to the point where some of it looks like a sort of light-brown soil base. I reckon it would provide a different challenge of car placement. -

Paul has expressed his desire to tackle places like New Zealand, so if they ever got the ball rolling with that then I'd squeal. -

I wonder if this tyre fix is not only to refine the way the cars react to landings, but to put us over until they fix the car physics over jumps... because let's be real, the bursting of tires is partially due to the low-gravity air we get in Finland. What else could we expect if a car goes up instead of forwards? -

He's been fast, and Latvala usually goes well in Mexico. He's kept his head from a winning position for the majority of the rally, in what is one of the most breaking rallies of the year, and he remains in first. To me, that's winning. I think blaming road position for Ogier not being in the lead is a discredit to Jari's performance. If team orders were indeed in effect, then I don't think you would see such a big and ever increasing gap between Jari and Ogier. If Jari holds on and wins, then it's a proper win. He will have won because he deserved to win it. -

Let's hope Latvala can stick this out, because I'm sure everybody in WRC except for Ogier friends and family would love to see a Jari win. -

WRC 2 now has the same issue as WRC; Evans will win everything, so long as he doesn't get car faults. -

Bear here, just poking at the embers of the gossip. Have there been any brief mentions of cars like the Talbot Samba making it into DR in the future? Oldies with character! I also pray for Mk1 Escort gossip. -

Peugeot belongs to the same concern as Citroen, so I think they will stay put in WRC2 - on the other hand they competed against each other in WRC in the early 2000s. Kind of strange decision, management wise. I would love to see some italian manufacturer back in the fold. Lancia doesn't seem to have a suitable car (do they sell any, by the way?), but Fiat would be a nice addition. The Ypsilon is the only recent Lancia that comes to mind. If they squashed it down and made it a bit wider then it could be converted into a WRC car, but it's a massive stretch, and very unlikely. -

I'm just glad we're getting manufacturers back into the WRC. Toyota next year, and who knows who else will come in after that. Maybe a surprise Peugeot stepping up from WRC2. -

I suspect a lifetime of repeated TBIs (concussions) had a role in his depression. I think the links between brain injury and mental illness will become stronger as more research is done. But it'll never be professionally admitted within the sporting bodies, because it'll put certain areas of certain sports at financial risk. NFL is the biggest example, and there's actually a movie out right now about the dangers of concussion. Football in Europe has taken a big step forwards though, especially in the Premier League. If a player goes down with a head injury then the game is instantly stopped, and the player is treated and more often than not taken off the pitch to reduce the risk of elevated concussion, which could obviously cause long term effects.
