DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games

Makes me wanna dig out my PS2 and the old Evo Studios WRC games and run a Championship as Burns/Reid.  It irks me how short life can be, especially for people like Richard. Jenson Button reminds me a lot of Burns, the way he has the skill, but he also has the great character which is incredible and so important to have in any sport. Burns had both in abundance.

If that is legit box art, with Ogier's Polo being in the final update, then CHRIST'S CHIN I'm excited!

I think the devs should introduce some Valve-style micro transactions, so I can put quirky hats on all of my rally cars

    2020 FIA World Rally Championship

EDIT: Didn't realise Citroen were taking part still, just not in a competitive programme. My first thought was that they were going to miss the season altogether.

VW: Same as 2015 Citroen: Same as 2015, with a potential 3rd car for Lefebvre Hyundai: Same as 2015, unless Neuville wants to move on M-Sport: Evans & Prokop. (If Neuville does want to leave Hyundai, then I wouldn't be surprised at a return to M-Sport.

It's particularly favorable and flavorful. Not too thick, and not too thin. In fact, it's a perfect soup to flask-up and take with you for a cold day in the Welsh forests watching the rally this weekend.  Forget your waterproof overalls, and your wellington boots; you'll feel like you're wearing the most ostentatious dressing gown made from the finest materials, matched with some tremendous cushion-like slippers, in the obvious shape of bear paws.

Yeah, @jennyannem, you'll generally find that we're the lighter side of the forum. I've dabbled in the F1 threads a few times, and got bitten.  Would you like some soup?

Shakedown, Hafren, Garth, Dyfnant and Brenig for me. Look out for the black Fabia vRS in the Garth car park with a DiRT Rally sticker in the rear window ;) Working or playing? Playing, but the camera will still be to hand. Depending how wet it is of course! I've just bought myself some waterproof overs to put over my overs :D I am now fully prepared

It's been confirmed that there will most likely not be any frozen lake sections in the rally, because they're concentrating on getting their snow tech sorted, which I'm excited for.

I've also been playing on a Xbone controller as of late, and it's actually surprisingly good. Wonder if they could work in the rumble triggers? I've been experimenting with the controller as well, and I have to say the devs have done a brilliant job with it. Wheel wins every day for accuracy at speed, but for everything else I'm just as good on the pad as I am on the wheel.

I wouldn't be too bothered about seeing other cars launch in front of me anyway. I'd quite like the equivalent of dailies and monthlies in a lobby setting; seeing everybody's stage times from their own private stage syncing up with everybody else's at the end, and then moving directly onto the next event whilst keeping tally of time and points. I'm not sure how complicated the coding would be, but it's definitely something to think about if there's time.  If that could be done, then it would be wondiferous, and I would make @KickUp & Co a particularly nice pan full of soup.

It'd be pretty cool if the forums could put a little flag next to our usernames too, like what happens on the leader boards.

Quite frankly I'm gobsmacked by the amount of self-entitled, ungrateful brats popping up in this thread.  If you want to bitch and moan because you think you deserve a video game that wipes your arse and feeds you your most favourite bowl of alphabet spaghetti, then you'll feel right at home in the F1 threads, because that's just a brat farm. I'm sure a few of you have been taken for a day out outside of the F1 threads to spread your joy.

The mods started to delete posts in the WRC threads now, and not just ones with people arguing; constructive criticisms are being deleted, as well as general disappointed posts.  Whoops...  It would appear as though my criticism of the mods duties and tongue-in-cheek criticisms of the game were not appreciated.

I just hate licensing. I think that (not from a business perspective) it's all quite pathetic to be honest, especially when things get completely hogged.
