For multiplayer, If you set up a multi-event cup it'll stay in and moves from event to event without ever going back to the lobby. Worth noting that it does support late-joining, so if you join a lobby that's currently on event 3 out of 5 you'd load in and join the action at the start of event 4.

Loore said:@ml66okYes, that's how it goes. We record all the stats for every car you own so even for those you sell, there'll still be a record of them.

great ,ill look forward to that

when can we see some in depth gameplay with someone using a wheel who can drive
:-S im getting more curious by the day about this new handling model

We will touch upon it briefly in two weeks time as we detail the mechanical damage system in the game.

RubyRuby said:As a single player I mostly agree with gor, although we're getting some improvements over GRID: more helpful mini map, car behind arrow, and what sounds like most (if not all) the old tracks plus a bunch, and more cars. And I believe audio effects have been improved, though my integrated monitor speakers are not quite stellar.
I am disappointed that much of GRID''s simplicity has been sacrificed, but there have always been plenty of GRID players supporting more customizing, tuning, upgrades and qualifying laps. Even so, we are told that these developments are optional, at least in the career. A save, maybe.
So it's still down to handling, which has to be experienced. I understand that Codies are fully occupied meeting the release deadline, but I hope a demo is offered as soon as possible for the sake of latecomers at least. I know - after release and after post-release blues fixing bugs, etc.
If I was King of the World it would be different, but it looks to me like we're getting a GRID sequel (please, please let the handling not be buggered); late, different, but recognizable. At least in the career game.

i would have paid ££ for grid1 if i had known it was going to be so good, the price is irrelevant if the game is up to scratch ie as good if not better than grid1

im hoping the wall and obstacles will be back in autosport, leaving debri such as tyres on the track for the remainder of the race...this was a huge ammount of fun in first grid..pls delete penalty system as just dulls down the race and dont forget cheaters can be kicked anyway..mostly racers in grid race on the edge of what is possible within the spirit of true racing
-
have to agree with the last 2 posts ,all along we said dont change any features from grid1 and all will be well..i feel there will be many complications with tuning/upgrades/dont see why flashbacks would be even considered in mp..so let the race begin and all will be revealed :[

reading all the posts here about text chat and being a grid veteran im astounded you will miss this important feature out yet again...great for community fun as well as organising in game setting or whatever...pls include it and btw spectate from lobby too is a massive + for the whole online experience
-
cant wait to fire this game up for the 1st time...looks absolutely thrilling :)
-
gt1 seems to be missing from autosport...that was my favourite discipline in the first grid

no flashbacks for me,ruins the any immersive racing experience for me

To sum up..please get to work on the online side of the game, its simply not fun as it is, in your own words pre release "we just want players to have fun".The missing elements from multiplayer are holding this otherwise great racer back big time.
