real life 2020 FIA World Rally Championship
RallyDriven replied to Fedemaisonnave's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
I understand they want a title, but I'd hate to see Ott or Elfyn miss out on a first win -
It is dangerous, but I sure love fig newtons!

Yeah, I heard that they hit head on. A strange incident that should have never happened -

Because it is an absolute pig. I like my Quattro how I like my women... A pig?
-
Do you think I could use that to trick Tesco into delivering mine early?
-
I won't be home until the 2nd August! Your situation isn't that bad. Pfft! I don't finish work on the 9th until 4:30! How do you think I'm going to cope! May I suggest...Heavy Drinking? Either that or Thai Chi. Heavy drinking tends to work normally

Did it think it looked too bad, but we will wait and see. I can't see the handling being anything on what I've already played of dirt 4 though! Only thing that will tempt me is the cars and locations
-
No, sorry. Also on some cars they are on the side windows. That's a shame, I was watching the replays on dirt rally and thought it would be cool to have my own name up there with all of the others. Didn't realise some had it on the windows though!
-
Just thought of something whilst playing dirt rally, not sure if it's been covered. @KickUp we know the numbers and names on the cars will be on the body not the windows, but in rallycross, will we be able to get our name on the sun visors in the windscreen?
-
I would also hope that it isn't given to us to own immediately, I'd rather just have it added to the game and available to purchase when I can afford it. I may be buying the Hyundai first, but I also have a soft spot for Peugeot rally cars (not modern road going Peugeot's though as they suck), and I also quite like the Mitsubishi. Think in game I'd buy one of those over the fiesta

1 min after posting, Gossip Thread is like multi-social RSS feed with all important news in one place. :D That is extremely cool!
-
When I finally have enough monies to buy an r5 in dirt 4, it will be the toughest decision of my life

Wales in the dry looks so good! Looks just like real life summer Welsh rallies like the Nicky Grist stages or this weekends Plains rally
-
Dam, I've just overtaken the man, the myth, the legend that is lee. I'm honoured guys
-
Well they were most definitely using gamer handling, and they still couldn't make it round a corner without crashing! Still, good to see some of the other locations

But Block is Blocked (No pun intended) So I'm not sure if the WRX Concord Agreement is that strong. Maybe Microsoft's money is stronger. I think it was only his livery that was exclusively licensed to forza horizon. We still get the focus and bakkerud though
-
Kenny from the Block is a great showman and has some serious skills. However compared to all those rally champions he is missing a lot of razorsharpness. @KickUp and @xtinamcgrath Did WRX allow you to use Loeb within the game or did Milestone only had a single off agreement with Loeb so you were free to engage with Sébastien? Also wonder if Loeb gave some feedback even if he wasn't officialy involved in development? Also I am very curious if he said something how it stack up against his own game? (Graphically underpowered but physics are really nice). In the pictures in today's red Bull article you can see loeb's name on the side of the Peugeot. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that his own game didn't actually have any rallycross cars? I think it was just rally cars on rallycross tracks. So, he probably is indeed thinking that he gave his name/soul to the wrong people

I didn't like how it handled the jumps, myself, it felt a bit exaggerated compared to its real-life counterpart (judging by rally footage). I think it should be better in D4 with the improved aerodynamics though. Here is RSRBR's take on aerodynamics in Audi Sport Quattro E2. Beat that DiRT Rally! https://youtu.be/FZKAkyRF8D0?list=UU1Y-Tv8siZScv-UBc2RxZAQ I've driven that jump in the opposite direction and to be fair, its steep as hell. I don't know if the real track is like but damn. Yeah I think it's the mineshaft jump in Australia? Seem to remember that being in rbr. https://youtu.be/UQfvl2XJOig

Yeah I need to sort out a high tech elastic band system! H pattern is so much fun, but a lot of work!
-
So, off topic, but when I changed from controller to a wheel I got to completely re-enjoy dirt rally! And with dirt 4 coming up, I decided to get a h-pattern shifter to add to it, and now I'm getting to re-enjoy dirt rally a 3rd time! H pattern with clutch is so much fun, as is using 3rd and 4th as a sequential box, or using 4th as the handbrake with a paddle shift! Cant wait to try it on dirt 4!
-
See you there! I'll hopefully be going as well, but probably only Saturday as it's my grandads 90th birthday on the Sunday!
-
Love the increased braking distance. Going to make a huge difference! Oh yeah, it really does! You really have to concentrate on the brakes a lot more now, felt a lot more realistic. I should have mentioned the other thing I first noticed was the familiarity from dirt showdown (just kidding, dirt rally), it has the same sim feel.
-
Put it this way, first things I noticed when playing dirt 4: -Increased braking distance and improved braking feel. -Better airborne physics, and general aerodynamics improvements -Much better stage edges, you can actually take realistic cuts in Wales without being launched into the sky!
