There are sub classes/specs in the R5 class? Not subclasses, it's just upgrades that are done to the cars. It's not really important. Yeah, basically new versions. The fiesta is on evo 2 at the moment I think, so that's the third edition of fiesta r5

real life 2020 FIA World Rally Championship

You say that, but Paddon hit a tyre stack last night on the opening stage and barely did any damage. Plus these cars have done a lot of testing, they shouldn't just be falling apart on every corner. I'm sure m-sport will be immediately looking into the cause of mads' incident. My brother and I both said at the start of monte that Neuville and the i20 were looking very strong and competettive. And I know it's still early days, but I knew I should have bet on him for this weekend! Aha, probably jinxed it now anyway! -

Yeah, that does sound a little worrying, especially if as he said he was flat out in a sixth gear corner, that's not a time when you want to lose all the downforce on the rear! -

Tomorrow will definitely be interesting, first true test of speed with everyone on equal terms (monte is a lot down to tyre choice and wear). I'm going to predict a Neuville win, but to be honest there are a lot of people who I feel could do it, pretty much everyone is looking like they have some sort of chance -
I'm only just out the poor student phase, will hopefully be in the poor rally car owner phase soon! For now I'll have to stay in the passenger seat

Maybe the first DLC should be Rally cars from the Codemasters community? *Cough* MG ZR *Cough*

Fair enough, don't know what the rule is for private roads though, most if not all the rally gb roads are private forest roads which don't have official speed limits
-
The cars in recce are limited to normal road limits, so if road has limit 50km/h you've have to keep to that limit. At least that's how it's in our local rallies, not certainly sure about WRC but it shouldn't be different IIRC. Wrc has a universal speed limit on all recces, can't remember what it is though

The amount of cars in world rx is mad! peugeot 208 fiesta focus audi s1 seat ibiza mini vw polo ds3 Kia Rio and now a Renault as well! Plus another that I've probably missed

Sadly Fuzzynuts is a thing of the past. #NoFuzzynutsNoSale

Personally I think it should be casual and simulation. I think it's a bit clearer than gamer.

Yeah, could have easily picked up second or maybe even 1st on that rally if you had just held back a bit like Latvala did -

Just mads at the moment, think prokop isn't driving until one of the next European rounds With Meeke, monte is a tough rally, everyone gets caught out at some point. I mean, Meeke didn't really do much more than Ogier in terms of mistakes, but his was much more punishing. Crashes can happen at any time, and for a number of reasons. It could have been caused by something mechanical or a flat tyre. They said it was only a slow roll anyway, I'm sure it won't have affected him too much, even if a little embarrassing! -
It's hard to tell what handling modes are being used in these off screen videos. But if you can see the cars coming to pretty instant stops and turning too quickly assume it's the arcade. As I mentioned before, the braking distances have been increased from dirt rally, which felt a lot more realistic

Annoying, but these things happen occasionally in testing! Hopefully there won't be any more of that this weekend -
There's also the other historic fwd rally class with a couple of cars like the Peugeot 205
-
Well in real life you would most likely have all classes in one rally. Or you might have a historic rally separate and a modern rally separate with R class cars like the BRC

On a similar note can people stop postitively reacting to Paul's posts, im afraid he might knock me off the all time leaderboard

The only trouble with these subscription things or yearly update is still making a profit. Youve got the people who buy the game to begin with, then after a year when an update comes out or a subscription renewal, your likely going to have a significant less % of people playing by this point. Some % will return with the interest of new content, but year on year this percentage of people buying or renewing subscriptions is going to dwindle quite quickly. As a company, it just probably isn't feesable unless you have a huge user base, otherwise you will be better off putting your efforts into putiing out new games
-
Yeah, you may recognise the odd corner or bit of scenery, but that's better than memorising an entire stage!

In Wales there was a point where I was driving over marshland and I came into a forest section. I assume this was where tiles merged, but I honestly couldn't say for certain, as it didn't seem any different to the parts of dirt rally where you go in and out of forest

Well the actual event 'Pikes Peak International Hillclimb' would need to be licensed, so I imagine that you would be in trouble if you copied the road and didn't pay for it, even if you called it something else.

Yeah I remember them getting really annoyed about Meeke in Finland! -
Somerset stages? If so I'll hopefully see you both there! No more gravel for the foreseeable future for me. It's too expensive! Shame, you could see if they'd let you just do porlock? ;) That would be an expensive toll road :s It's very expensive if you do what the car ahead of is did a few years back. They hit the bridge near the start on the first run in the morning, game over for the car and the bridge!
