Speaking of gymkhana, Mr Block has a new video out in a few days featuring the Focus RSRX.

I went to a drifting school place for a stag do and managed to shred a tyre on an mx5! Not bad for my first ever time driving a rear wheel drive
-
I've just downloaded Forza 6 as it's free to play this weekend with Xbox live gold, and it weirdly doesn't feel as good on controller as Forza 5? Codies did a very good job on the Xbox version of dirt, the controller feels very good, especially as a game like dirt requires a hell of a lot more steering inputs and corrections than a track racer like Forza.

I'm actually from a different universe, but I like to keep it on the down low, don't want to make a big thing of it
-
Yep. This is very unlikely. There will be a... 'purpose'. Ooooh look, actual gossip in the gossip thread! Quick! To the gossipmobile!
-
Well we know that the CM team will be in Loheac next weekend for the World Rallycross. I wonder if they are there just to spectate, or to research the circuit? I assumed that there would be some purpose to there visit, unlikely it's just a pr visit to promote a 4 month old game (for console anyway, even older for pc).

Over 37 years everything changes. For example, I was born. I was almost born twice

Someone here is going to come back to the forums after a little while off, see all the activity on the gossip thread and think a new game has been announced, then be disappointed after scrolling through pages of house prices! XD Im getting bad at taking this thread off topic!
-
Houses around me are bloody expensive, especially the nice parts. Mark Webber lives in my village in a pretty nice place
-
The way ours works, it's better to pay it off through the system, as in reality you may never end up paying it all back, so paying it in a lump sum will just cost you more
-
There's no way I'm saving that up with uk uni prices, £9000 per year on tuition, plus £3500 maintenance loan per year, for 3 years! Ours gets paid automatically like a tax when you earn above I think £25000 a year.
-
Are they making a video game themselves? No i think there were committed to another video game. Nope so, I have now finished uni, and am currently in the process of saving up a lot of money for next year. Here's my problem though, I'm undecided what to spend it on: Option 1- A two month trip from coast to coast in the USA, going pretty much everywhere, including an attempt on Seb Loeb's Pikes Peak world record in a hire car. Something I've wanted to do for a while Option 2- A rally car and my first season in the BTRDA as a driver decisions decisions....

Toyota was beyond difficult, we were told the reason when we visited, but unfortunately it's not our place to repeat why! But from what we gathered Toyota was 0% chance from day 1
-
I personally liked the wrc 22b (in before that argument starts again)
-
Well that was thoroughly underwhelming. As said, at least feature a proper smash! I haven't been that disappointed since I played Sebastian loeb Rally

The best bit about Tarmac on dirt is probably the way the cars lose and regain grip. Most games tend to exaggerate the side to side sliding you get when a car loses grip, dirt has a really satisfying snap when the car straightens up again
-
Dirt might not have the best Tarmac model, but it has one hell of a gravel model. Having sat in a rally car a lot, I can't express enough how good the feeling of driving on a lose surface is in dirt

I really doubt it's dlc. I just can't see it being a good business decision now the game has been out so long, and unfortunately a lot of people will have left it, and only the hardcore players are still playing, therefore not a lot of money in dlc purchases. For example, my Xbox one league has 1600 people in it, but only about 50 people take part each week. A new game is almost definitite
-
Oh god, I hope they aren't reading all the crap we post in here!
-
Am I right in saying he was the same guy who did the dirt 2 and 3 soundtracks? Because if it was, he did do a very good job on that, especially dirt 2.
-
I wouldn't imagine so, not after his recent drunken behaviour and sacking from JRM! Well, that was kinda the point ;) Ah, sorry, difficult to read sarcasm on the Internet!

Rallydriven: Dirt Rally 2 - try to be good at this game, whilst actually remembering your glory days as the worlds greatest demolition derby racer on GRID, then sob into a packet of sweets.

A BMW is currently leading by 1.5 seconds. I'm going to attempt to snatch victory in the Peugeot! (This is a highly unlikely outcome) edit: was 15 seconds down, brought it back to 2 seconds on stage 3, then crashed on 4 and lost it again. A big push on stage 6 lead to a big smile on my face followed by a big Peugeot shaped dent in a tree. Oh well, wasn't too bad for my first play in 3 weeks!

The kitcars for sure, provided the drivers know what they're doing. The kitcars can match 2000's cars on some stages. I have the biggest Xbox league with about 1600 people, so there are some pretty good drivers there. I'm not sure what to have a go in yet, I'll try and do it this weekend
