I'm pretty sure half the regular gossipers are testers now! You can normally tell when everyone goes quiet as soon as speculation for new updates starts! With the exception of a certain someone a year or two back who continued to gossip and speculate before it was announced, despite the fact they were secretely one of the first to see the bloody game!
-
Even if he would talk, Codies probably already made some form of censoring system, so it will look something like this: "This new content will bring an *NDA* to *NDA* along with *NDA*." The trusted group of testers won't be revealing anything... for free. For the right price though...
-
We still have the secret testers, but I'm no longer on PC so I haven't tested anything myself, just been quietly observing!
-
I'll drop some gossip for the next update. It has something to do with cars.In all seriousness, hopefully it won't be too long before codies can talk about what they have been teasing. It's quite fun seeing it from the other side and seeing how close people get when guessing, same as when myself and a few others were lucky enough to play the game before it was announced, and gossip was at its highest!

I tried to have one of those trippy Dirt dreams everyone was on about with the acid and such. Can someone pick me up from Amsterdam please?
-
They would have to phone up every single license holder that they have to confirm to new changes, as the cars are all licensed as they are, such as the s1600's are licensed with one seat, and for RX races, which is why you can't rally them. I'd imagine that there would be quite a few that would be rarely unhappy with ACAT, and it would be a difficult and expensive process.

Road book is once every two weeks isn't it? though we got a road book last Friday? Edit: ignore me, roadbook is here! https://www.dirtgame.com/blog/5631

The game was built around V1, so I think when v2 was added it didn't suit everything. Some things improved, others were slightly worse off, such as jumps
-
It's a real stage in a real forest, complain to God I still kinda agree with him though. The jumps and crests are a tad exagerated imo. Finland feels like it still got one foot in the old Dirt games compared to the quality of Wales and Sweden. I don't think it's the stages, I think they're fairly accurate, it's just the game's physics don't calculate the jumps well e.g. The cars fly too much
-
Also, with WRC 6 announced, we can probably rule out cm next game having the WRC license

They said in the videogamer article I posted that stages would be longer and more narrow. Could actually prove to be an alright game

http://www.videogamer.com/ps4/wrc_6/news/wrc_6_announced_for_ps4_xbox_one_and_pc.html Wrc 6, will probably be bad, but still, they could surprise

I really don't think we will be seeing a huge handling overhaul now that ea is over and it's out on console. The changes will most likely be in the next title

real life 2020 FIA World Rally Championship
RallyDriven replied to Fedemaisonnave's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
I know he hasn't got a lot of experience and you can't blame him for that, but that is precisely why Elfyn should still have his seat. One reasonable result just does t really do a lot for me. Speed and consistency are also two very different things -

I haven't been following it so much this weekend, but what exactly did he do other than set one reasonable stage time? Yeah he came 5th, but that's really only cause a lot of people retired. He's just not that quick, and I highly doubt he ever will be -

RallyDriven replied to Fedemaisonnave's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
Second year in a row it's happened, believe it was the zero car last year that set fire to a large amount of forest. Paddon said he couldn't have done anything, he was fully committed to the corner when he hit a hole that wasn't there in recce/the previous running of the stage. Once he was off line, that was that -

http://youtu.be/J9fvTH_uWig Paddon on was unlucky, got thrown out a rut or a hole and was just a passenger. Hot exhaust set the trees on fire and that was that -
There was a hint of something being talked about for dirt rally in the next road book, which sounds interesting
-
I don't think we will be seeing it in this game. I would imagine it's much more likely to be work on the next game

Fair enough. I'm probably wrong, but from what I've heard, and with that many cars, does it not start to really lose quality? Was it the last GT that had so many cars, but only a few hundred of them came with proper modelled interiors and such?
-
Sorry for going further off topic, but is GT similar to forza with all the customisation? or is it only cosmetic as shown in the trailer? Because from the trailer it didn't look like it offered much more than forza, other than quantity of cars and tracks, which I'm not really interested in when forza already has a lot, and very detailed ones.

boom.gif Fantastic news, Paul! Finally something to wash away the bad taste of GT Sport's unveiling. Still can't believe I wasted my time watching that train wreck when I could've been playing DR instead. very uninspired trailer, I don't know much about the game being an xbox owner, but that certainly didn't do anything to make me want to jump ship
-
If it was as simple as being the wrong way round it would have probably been corrected. Unfortunately modelling aero is probably pretty dam difficult, especially when the game is already modelling a hell of a lot of other stuff, and doing so very well! Also, I have understood very little of most of the last few posts

It's been too long since we've had something proper!
