I expect the console sales will fund some salaries, some dividends and the development of DR2. Or DiRt Totally Radical Offroad Experience, if the board have their way. Ah, has that title been revised? Last I heard the board were still pushing DiRT Awesome Radical Sideways Experience? I can see the quality of this thread degrading very quickly!

I don't think it's a priority, as we already have a Quattro in game. So Paul said the press embargo lasts until next week, so we should be hearing stuff then :)
-
I'm pretty sure it's already been mentioned that they are video tutorials

I prefer a good battle over an easy win any day, and by the sounds of it Ogier genuinely was enjoying the fight between himself and Kris. Looking forward to Sweden now, I hope Paddon and Mikkelson can step up to Ogier there -
I wonder when we will be seeing the results of this press day? I'd imagine it would be relatively soon seeing as there isn't really any exclusive reveals (that we know of). There's also only about 10 weeks to launch now

I was rooting for Meeke, but this makes me think of Ogier as a lot more than just the dominant driver of our time. What a great competitor. I was a little surprised to see that photo, didn't think Ogier would be like that, but that's very much changed my opinion on him, true sportsmanship -
But we know the console release is April 5th? So, the game is ready to be shown to press already, there's a 'work in progress' text shown at the top, but we can assume that it is coming along nicely. I'd guess they are finalising getting some of the content in, making sure everything works the same as PC and optimising it

I'm looking forward to the release day the most, as it will probably be my only hope of placing any where decent in a daily!

https://twitter.com/dirtgame/status/691586197223821312 not sure how to imbed tweets, but heres another pic, and confirmation it's press day for consoles. Also shows a slightly new menu layout, and the tutorials section

I noticed that Latvala was speaking differently in the interviews before monte. A lot of drivers have it in them to be faster than Ogier, however Ogier is just consistently brilliant, and rarely has an off day, or even an off stage! -

I thought it looked bad when I first saw the video, that tree came straight across the front of the 'A' frame, which is probably the weakest part of the cage -
That sounds wrong :D Would be wrong if he would be doing stuff with male-codriver :p I don't think Paul would be too happy...

Camilli's off was very nasty, basically split the roll cage in half in front of his face -
His livery probably isn't an exclusive. I don't think EA have even used his Fiesta livery? Though then again they might not be able to use his name in the game. Probably depends on how much Codemasters want him in their game

Yeah but world rallycross goes to 12 different countries across two continents, whereas GRC goes to two countries across two continents. (I know America is a big country, but it still only counts as 1!)
-
I think he'll be fast and competitive. Plus he will bring a lot of attention to the series from America

As it's been said before, if an important car isn't there, it's because of licensing issues out of the devs' hands. The DS3 is one of those, so are Renaults and Toyota. Hopefully something will change, but it's probably unlikely. Renault is probably the most likely of the 3 to change, then the DS3, then Toyota

VW came in with a strong car and very strong drivers Hyundai came in with a good car and good drivers. Hyundai have had a further two years of competitive development for both the car and drivers, so Toyota need to find some talent to join them next year, otherwise they will probably struggle to compete against the others -
Paul said it had been 'approved' - I don't see surface deformation as something that has to be approved from elsewhere, more something they may have looked into and decided whether it is possible or not
-
The banks are a very different shape to the walls though, you are only hitting the banks with the tyres and lower body, unlike the straight walls which don't allow the cars to transfer the movement vertically
-
I not an expert but it depends a bit on the temperature. If the snow is melting, you will go straight through it and can't lean the car on it, when it's freezing hard the banks are a lot more solid, and they again become more difficult to lean the car on

I called Ken Block!
-
Maybe it's an improved damage model to go with Ken Block's arrival? And maybe Kubica too
-
I've got it! It's Ken Block!
-
I don't really see it being a car, unless it's maybe the ds3 wrc. I see it being more likely a feature in the game
