€10,000 is absolutely stupid! Money grabbing fia! Honestly how can the enforce that fine!? I hope Ogier appeals that as far as he can, that is insane! Plus suspended points penalty, madness! -
I can’t see Ogier being penalised, unless there are any specific rules about it. From what I’ve seen on Twitter, the only rules about time cards say the crew is responsible for it. Being irresponsible for it doesn’t then necessarily mean you get a penalty. Even a fine would be stupid.
Anyway, that was a fantastic last day of the rally, I was literally on the edge of my seat watching Thierry come through the powerstage, and I was up on my feet watching Ogier come through! I didn’t mind who won, but I think Thierry deserved it for that drive! -
I’ve been absolutely glued to All Live this morning, it has been ridiculous so far. Ogier and Neuville pushing each other to the absolute limits! Let’s hope it doesn’t end because Ogier forgot his time card! -
Sorry to see Paul is leaving! I remember the first time I met him when I sat down at random in a forest on Rally GB about 5 years ago, looked to my right and he was sat next to me! Thanks for letting me be part of the last two games, even if it was only a small part! Best of luck for the futuredgeesi0 said:well Paul coleman has just anounced hes leaving :'(http://blog.codemasters.com/community/06/here-for-a-good-time-not-a-long-time/ -
As I’ve said before, the biggest problem with a wrc licence is the fact they already have wrx. But if the licence is not tied up, and the fact we’ve already seen the c3 wrc in the crew, we could always see wrc cars in the next dirt like we did with dirt rally -
Codemasters don’t usually do big announcements at places like e3. Personally I wouldn’t have thought it would be a good time to do an announcement, with so many big game news coming out, it’s easy to get lost in the stream. Especially with the likes of fallout and such being shown -
You say that, but Loeb lead in Mexico in the same car without pushing it to the absolute extremes (yeah I know road position helped). To some degree, he was under a lot of pressure to deliver results in possibly the worst out of the 4 cars, but huge accidents when you aren’t even in contention for a win don’t look good.KevM said:They’ll do nothing now, but hover around the mid-field and come last in the Manu Championship.
He drove the car at 11 tenths to just about keep within reach of the rest of the field. I think the car/team put him under massive pressure to overdrive
People like to compare him to McRae, but The difference is Colin won a driver’s title, almost two.
anyway, I like Kris, and he’s an incredibly talented driver, so I am sad to see him go.

Wow! Meeke and Citroen have parted ways! Apparently due to safety concerns! Sounds like Citroen are worried about Meeke injuring himself -
Kris Meeke is a lucky, lucky boy. That could easily have been very serious.

Great Rally though, tough conditions. Lots of casualties, with lots of big names getting caught out. Great drive from Neuville and Evans. It’s defin made the championship race more exciting! -
This does throw another spanner into the works with the wrc license. We know codemasters couldn’t get any wrc licenses cars, now the crew has a brand new c3 wrc... -
I picked up the first one as the free game of the month on Xbox live, and after playing it for half an hour I realised why it was free and never played it againJZStudios said:
As a fan of his, I appreciate the inclusion of Craic, but am disappointed at the lack of Jeff Bridges and Kebab.Accro2008 said:DiRTy gossip thread right now :

*edit, Craic and the Kebab have been adressed, but I still miss ol' Porky.
All I can say about The Crew 2 is... I wouldn't look that forward to it.VirtuaIceMan said:Hmm, hello Meeke's WRC C3 in The Crew 2 (at 16:35): https://youtu.be/9Dea_09hKhI
The Crew 2 also has the Red Bull RB13 from 2017 in it too! In a series that amusingly is called Alpha Grand Prix lol -
I don’t really like the way everyone seems to put ‘dirt rally 2’ and ‘dirt 5’ as two completely different games. Dirt 4 has some handling flaws, but people seem to forget it was/is a simulator. The only difference between the two games was really budget and scale. Unfortunately not everything in the handling for dirt 4 improved over dirt rally for whatever reason, but that’s not to say that dirt 5 handling isn’t going to be as realistic is dirt rally 2 (not talking about any ‘gamer’ mode obviously) -
Also COTA from F1. They also have hockenheim from grid (although I have a feeling it’s not a round this year), plus Barcelona from f1 -
Christina just retweeted Nicky Grist’s photo of his Toyota Celica. It’s probably nothing, it was a cool photo, but in the dirty gossip forum that means Toyota confirmed for the next game! -
Edit: posted on the wrong post! -
I don’t see the problem in having a fun game mode in a serious racing sim. Allows for a bit of a distraction from endless racing, and it keeps players coming back. If you looked at dirt 3, the party modes were the longest surviving online lobbies, same with demo derby on gridMiatakiasGR said:
What do you mean?JZStudios said:
I bet you're a blast at parties.MiatakiasGR said:Speaking seriously i dont want to see infection and cat n mouse modes in any Dirt game by CM , that modes are for pure arcade games like Forza horizon , Gravel On rush etc -
I had many, many hours of fun on car and mouse, capture the flag and infection with a group of friends. Solo capture the flag in private sessions, as well as four teams of two on cat and mouse were incredibly good funDiRTKiNG808 said:Infection mode form DiRT 3 would also be a fun return to pvp. I also love cat and mouse. -
Another issue I see is when the game comes out, which is difficult for a racing license. If it comes out at the start of the year, it would be based on the previous years cars and locations, so would already be out of date. Too late in the year and it’s out of date almost immediately. F1 already comes out in August/September? So that’s tied up for codemasters. -
I don’t know what’s happening with Big Ben, but I don’t think the license will be with codies. I can’t see them dropping the WRX partnership, unless they are making separate wrx and wrc games, which I also doubt will happen. -
Grid is pretty dead. I’d like a new one, but the last two did poorly. There may be a surprise, but the dirt series is where the money has been for the past few years, along with f1 which is made in Birmingham studios -

Considering how shit most of the wrc games have been before WRC7, I doubt that’s something g going through their headsJanneman60 said:So, the guys at WRC couldn't choose other then codemasters after the succes of the beautifull dirt rally game. And then came the lame dirt 4 game so now they are still negociating...
