Do you want me to beat him in a tournament?DiRTKiNG808 said:
Oh ya! I love Split/Second! I played that game a ton and got gold on everything. My brother and I still play split-screen from time to time. I was so disappointed when the sequel got cancelled. Why Disney, why?!tbtstt said:Does anyone remember Split/Second? Another great arcade racer, my mate found a copy a few weeks ago and we started playing it again: still thought it was good! -
I think I preferred the first 4 burnouts to paradise, especially 1 and 4. One of my favourite memories is when me and my brother decided to have a weekly tournament on the original burnout when I was about 7. I won the first ever tournament, he got upset and refused to play it ever again. So I’m technically still champion of burnout 1. -
I haven’t done too many rallies around the Hafren forests. I’ve mainly done events around the brecons and north wales. The only stages I’ve done in Hafren forest is Hafren itself on Rally gb 2 years ago as far as I know!RodgerDavies said:KingOfCoins said:I agree about the lack of drops. EDIT: whoops I might have misread what you wrote but my point still stands.
That's fair point, but current Rally Catalunya, the stages these tiles are based on, are up in the hills, there are no coastal sections.RallyDriven said:
The rally gb stages maybe not so frequent, but definitely on those used in national events. Another thing I just thought of is logging. 100% - not seen any club stages around the Hafren complex it's based on though - do they have some twistier configs? -
Any real life moors sections I’ve done(which isn’t many to be honest, it’s normally all forests) are very twisty. It’s kind of like a rollercoaster. The best way of describing it would probably be like a mini Finland. Lots of flowing corners over crests. Lots of camber, and big ditches that suck you in. Just obviously the speed isn’t there so there aren’t really jumps!bogani said:I just thinks Wales a bit too twisty and bumpy for my taste. It's also extremely repetitive as you always get the same tile for entering the forest and the same tile for exiting the forest. Add the god awful moore sections with zero flow and very bad notes. It's just very frustrating.
I think the open field sections in Michigan are my favourite. It's fast, narrow and relatively flat. -

Dirt 4 hairpins tens to be quite open, which there are a lot of, but also there’s lots of tight hairpins and 90’s like DR Greece, although obviously not one after the other! There’s also a lack of ditches in dirt 4. Most parts just have big drops. In real life, you tend to just find combinations of small banks and ditches lining the roads. To be honest, that would probably be my biggest gripe with D4 walesdgeesi0 said:with no hair pins its no fun :'( . think about it gravel mud forest you need tight corners for fun ! :) -
I’d say Wales in D4 is pretty decent. It depends a lot what forests you’re in though! The only thing it’s missing is the very right hairpins which there are quite a lot of, and some of the big valleys, although that’s not always easy to do in a game, especially with generated stages.
id really like the see kieder forest in the next game! A stage I did on the final day of the RAC rally in November was probably the best rally stage I’ve ever done. Absolutely loved reading the notes on that -
Breen definitely, mads has always been good on snow, but still surprised to see him take to the c3 so well. Pretty sure Evans himself said he struggles on snow in a stage end interview this weekend. Plus, even if you do have a tyre advantage, at the end of the day you’ve still got to drive the car. He outdrove everyone at wales, and Argentina as well.juu1ius said:That loophole is easy to close - starting late / early in the PS - no points from PS or add the penalty to PS time. I just hope it will be closed ASAP. I'm not blaming Ogier or MSport- FIA changed PS system and didn't bothered to check over the rules. After blowing trough out the event, it was small reward.
Breen and Mads were two suprises for me - I wouldn't bet them to be so high. Even more surprising was Evans lack of speed - makes you wonder, thous strong results from last year, how much he benefited from Dmack?
The most important thing I feel about this ps loophole is that it messes with tv coverage. If you’re trying to bring the sport to live tv, you need a definitive result on tv. That’s going to confuse newcomers to the sport when they don’t see Ogier finish yet he’s still in the result. Then he jumps back ahead of Evans at the end. If anything, the final time control should be right after the end of the stage, that way results can be finalised live as it happens -
Yeah, that’s why I feel they will have to do something about this. They have tv schedules to stick to, they can’t have everyone using up all their permitted lateness to try and get better road positions. Ogier did get some kind of penalty for it, but I’m not quite sure how international time works. On national time in the UK you wouldn’t get a penalty for doing that unless you were over your permitted lateness (often 15-30 minutes depending on the rally), in which case you would be Over Time Limit (OTL) and be retired from the eventversedi said:Should we expect Mexico 2018 Tactics on PS where everyone will try to go later than the other? ;)
That will be problematic for All Live :P -
Ogier simply took advantage of the rules. But I feel that when it comes to the power stage, things like this shouldn’t be allowed. You should obviously still be able to do the stage as per normal rules, but you should be excluded from bonus points. The only exception I could see would be mechanical issues forcig a late start, but again it’s a bit of a grey area as Ogier could have easily pretended to have issues. -
So here’s a video of the incident

Hard to tell who is to blame. Also, Neuville over Colin’s Crest was pretty mad! -
Wow, so sounds as if Ott and Meeke has a collision on stage 13, with Ott leaving the road for a minute and a half! -
Probably a little while! I think he probably knows too much at the moment!JZStudios said:
I wonder how long before he actually IS just on the DiRTy gossip, and not actual insider information.carpa said:https://twitter.com/Hatward/status/959714407445094401?s=17

Had a cheeky look this morning whilst I was at work, looked a lot better than last night’s stage 2, with a lot more actual live onboards and such. But I imagine it will take a little while before they get everything nailed down with something as complicated as this -
Yeah, a lot of luck is involved with Monte. How many drivers had problems last night? Both Ogier and Tanak were incredibly lucky not to leave the road last night. And last year, Ogier and Evans both spun on the exact same corner in the exact same place. Ogier lost 30 secs, Evans lost a few minutes. Sometimes you can make a big mistake and get away with it, sometimes you make a small mistake and it’s the end of your rally. It was a silly mistake from Neuville, but he was by far not the only one to make one, just had the worst punishment!sqdstr said:I don't really get this bashing on Neuville?
A lot of drivers made mistakes but no one talks about that? Neuville was just the most unlucky one.
And to say he's back in his 2017 rhythm, he ended 2nd overall so what's so bad about that?
And tbh, 3 minutes means nothing in Monte, anything can happen there -
The worst thing about this is not only having to hear Jon Desborough, now I can see him too :( -
WRC+ is not kind to my slow internet :( keep loosing it. I don’t know why, my internet is about 10mbps, I can watch Netflix and play games online no problems most of the time -
Neuville off already! :(
That icy hairpin is bound to catch someone out, nearly got Ogier and Tanak
The coverage doesn’t seem too bad so far, just need more coverage of the actual stage! -
Oh really? They didn’t seem to be saying much about it other than a ‘small accident’Dytut said:I think he was in a traffic accident. -
Sounds like Bouffier crashed on recce, co driver is in hospital for checks, so he has had a last minute switch! -
That’s awesome! I’d love that, shame more brands don’t make handbrakes or sequential shifters!Accro2008 said:Welp I know what my next purchase is.
This handbrake/sequential shifter is 3 characters too short. -
I went to see about upgrading my account to all live, I was a bit hesitant as they haven’t been overly clear about what we will get in the package. I literally pressed one button, expecting to be taken to a payment page, but instead I got ‘congratulations, you have upgraded!’ Took me by surprise a little bit, but apparently I now have all live! Looking forward to seeing how it works this weekend -
Had my first rally of the year at Brands Hatch on Saturday! Very wet, and we didn’t have any wet tarmac tyres, so we ended up doing it on gravel tyres! Andrew Coley was commentating, he seemed to find it pretty funny, but it worked surprisingly well! We did crash into some tyres right in front of him though!
First time ive come across sos boards on a rally. A Focus spun on Graham Hill bend, and a MKII Escort couldn’t stop in hit them pretty hard. Poor escort was in a pretty bad way, luckily everyone was alright! -
Wow, I’m going to be watching a lot of Rallying this year!
one thing I noticed on Toyota, the Microsoft logo on the back is gone. I’m sure it’s probably nothing, but it still seems a little odd that it’s just disappeared and left a blank white patch, yet it’s still down the side. Maybe Microsoft only sponsored the sides this year
