It's normally how traffic violations are dealt with in rallying. It's not related directly to timing so a time penalty is not really that relevant to it. Surprised that seb would be stupid enough to do something like that, especially in the position he's in (world champ)ShouldBeThere said:
I know that the incident didn't happen on any stages, and I am biased, but just a fine for that? Seems lenient to me..but what else could they do I suppose.PaloSamo said:

Of course, didn't mean it was just Poland! Argentina also has lots of problems, and even here in the UK we have problems!versedi said:

Problems are everywhere, not only in Poland.
Just look at spectator safety in Portugal or Cyprus.
About the firemans car - stupid young safety man waving his hand instead of running into middle of the road and stopping them. Safety crew are one of biggest problems. PZMOT instead of hiring people are grabbing people from street.
How 40kg weighting boy is supposed to scream at a group of 20 estonians and make them move somewhere?
BTW. Main reason for canceled stage were Estonians in forbidden places. -

Remember that Ogier didn't win that much last year? Mai my due to road position, but he hardly won any gravel rallies.gheeD said:Its interesting to see ogier on a more equal car. There are multitude of things that contribute to winning 4 championships and its not all about how powerful your car is, but he looks definitely shook this year. He's grasping the championship lead currently not because he's fastest, but because he still has that consistency you require to win. Its remarkable how previous years he was able to control the championship by being ridiculously consistent and still win most rallies. This year the speed is not there, but more than anything he doesnt push (too much) over his limits and scores consistent points while everyone else still lacks that certaint level of consistency in the championship. (imo its ogier who's freakishly consistent, and others are doing just fine. I like that we see people crashing and making errors, that is part of the excitement of rallying. They want to win and push hard and problems occur)
Pretty much every rally he is 4th-5th fastest judging by the pace. But because thats not everything you need in rallying he is the current leader of the championship, but his lead is definitely gone if he cant push like tänak.
Also Thierry Neuville will be at Autoglym Rally for testing for Rally Finland, and its about 1 hour drive away from me. I most definitely want to go there and see the new cars in action, if i cant make it to Jyväskylä this year. :)
One thing I feel this year, is Ogier has been incdredibly lucky. How many times has he left the road this year and gotten away with it?
Monte: same ditch as Elfyn who lost loads of time
Sweden: spun at the start and could have easily got stuck
Mexico: two offs, one of them he went off quite badly and was very lucky to get away with it
hes probably had some more I've forgotten, plus leaving the road several times in Poland. Can he give some of that luck to Paddon? -
Neuville said at the end of the stage that he'd been told Ott was pushing way too hard and was going to crash. Sounds like Neuville backed off ever so slightly and took a risk that Ott would make a mistake, and it paid off for him.
A bit gutted that the fight didn't go till the end, but why an amazing rally! Incredibly close all weekend, with 11 lead changes across 20 stages! -
Really tight battle between latvala tanak and Neuville! Has to be one of the closest rallies ever so far! -
Most rallies the marshals are much further after the finish than in D4, you'd be going pretty well to miss them! If you did, you would just go back and give them the time card, as that's the only reason why you stop at the marshals. The time is clocked automatically on the flying finish, the marshals just write a physical copy of it on the time sheets.versedi said:
You're fu*****. You have to give the time card to write up your stage time. No note = DNF AFAIK.TuliRally said:
Please dont fix it. It's better to have some consequences for your actions, one could almost call it a feature.CMMcBabe said:Well, that gives me more things to add to my list of things to look at.
Edit: Do you get time penalized for not stopping to marshall. How does it work in RL. (Hopefully not like in the video)
PS. It may depend on the timing type:

I've said it before and I'll say it again, old movies are better. Surprised at how many know AIPLANE! but not Ferris Bueller.SkyRex said:
Ahh makes more sense now. Never seen that movie, but recognize that it was parodied in the Post-Credit Scene of Deadpool... it's something :)JZStudios said:

Something weird happened to me last night:
Firstly i I finished a clean stage in sweden
Secondly I set the fastest time on it
Thirdly I actually enjoyed driving it!
Its surprisingly good when you get a rhythm going, as I really hated it in DR. Unfortunately normal service resumed in the next stage when I rolled -
Only a week? You deserve more than that! Enjoy your holiday!KickUp said:Hi all, just so you know I am about to go on holiday for a week. I'm planning to be away from forums and twitter so that I can unplug for a bit and spend time with my family, so apologies if I'm not responding to stuff. See you all soon. -
Me and my brother both predicted Neuville as champ this year right at the beginning of the season, and I still think he has it in him. I'd really like to see him do it too! Not sure if I think he'll get a podium in either Poland or Finland though? I think he will be targeting some of the other rounds like Germany and gb -
I really want to play, but my room is hotter than a Swedish volleyball team, making playing on a wheel a bit uncomfortable! -
My first car used to stall every time I stopped unless I rested my foot gently on the throttle. I did only pay £50 for it to be fair though!JZStudios said:I kind of wish (Like other games) that random mechanical failures was a difficulty option. Maybe it's just me, but I find it annoying to have it apparently break something in the time I don't have it.
It just reminds me of my car which I hate. Always fun driving along the freeway and have it just decide to stop going. Or when it used to randomly stall out and leave me stuck on the side of the road and I'd have to push it home from the other side of the city... in the middle of summer... when it's 40 C.
i can see your point about it being a difficulty option, but I think I'd always have it on as I like it! Just wish that it did a little more, like you actually have a problem to fix in service -
Ogier is going to have to start pushing for wins soon with Thierry catching. He can just settle for good finishes anymore. He won't want to fall behind, other than maybe for road order reasons. At the same time, Neuville really can't afford to have another dnf at this crucial stage. I hope Paddon does well, and I think tanak will be up there unless he makes a mistake. Breen has the talent to challenge for a top spot, but probably not the equipment! -
Serves you all right for playing in chase cam

Finnish government is officially the coolest in the world! We would never have anything like that in the UK!gheeD said:https://www.motorsport-news.co.uk/news/teenage-star-rovanpera-targets-rally-gb-debut/
So happy our government organizations for once have some sense in their heads and gave him a special permission to take the drivers license test early. If Kalle passes his driving permit test (lol) he will be debuting in WRC event at Wales Rally GB
It's 17 to drive here, although you can take a tractor test at 16, so you can technically drive a tractor before you can drive a car which makes 0 sense. You can also drive a tractor with a 14 tonne trailer on a standard license, but can't tow a trailer on a car, which also makes 0 sense. -
That championship was a lot of fun!tbtstt said:I squeezed the Pro4 Championship in between a couple of rally events last night. Way less of a handful than the Pro2 trucks, lots of sideways corner entries and some very loud V8's: definitely the most fun element of the game for me outside of Dirtfish! -
The 3rd stage in the Spanish f2 championship has an incredible village section at the end, easily my favourite moment from playing the game so farthecraicbear said:
That car and those roads are an absolute dream.RallyDriven said:I love landrush and rallycross a lot!

I'm loving this game so much! I can jump from playing sim on my wheel to gamer on my controller to play with my friends so easy! Although I beat them all by 10 seconds despite doing a joker on every lap! -
Don't want to sound like a 'wheel snob', but man you need to try them on a wheel! Wrestling with your own truck plus 7 other and the bumps, it's bloody hard work!tbtstt said:Just had my first go in the Pro2 trucks. Multiple encounters with the barriers, several spins and a lot of bad language...

Didn't want to make a new thread for this, but I can't seem to find button reassignment for my wheel? I'm in a Logitech g920 on Xbox one, I wanted to set my handbrake up as 4th gear on my shifter but I can't find the menu anywhere?
edit: found it! Just a lot more hidden than in dirt raly!
