Only a few more days until my next rally! Unfortunately Paul won't be sat in with me as he's swanning off to Barcelona for some Rallycross or something. I will be joined by fellow special stage cameraman and international co-driver Jamie Mactavish. Hoping to just reach the end of this event as it looks like a very challenging venue.
Good luck! I'm hoping to make the finish of my second event this year next weekend!

Nothing new in here particularly but it's a good read and answers some recurring questions well.

Guessing that's our lot for today.

When it comes to stage length, I wonder if loading time is one of the issues that prevents the stage from being longer? I've read somewhere that Sony/Microsoft have certain guidelines for this.
Well it was already better than battlefield load times when we played it in November, although beating that probably isn't too hard!

  3. There's apparently 300 stages in the career, that would take forever to go through each one and change things. As far as I'm aware they are just purely stages created using the same generator we will have, and as previously said they will probably progress with the career by becoming more technical and longer as you progress

  4. Yeah, I think the 300 stages in the career are pre set stages which have all been created using the your stage tool. So you probably won't be able to change those as it is a set in stone career mode. You can obviously create your own stages in custom events and online/leagues

  5. Can't remember what rally it was in the U.K. Last year, maybe Isle of Man, a maxi was beating an r5 until it got wet. A good driver in that car (which Loeb definitely is) has a lot of potential to beat r5's. You might have the money to afford the car, doesn't mean you can drive it well!

  6. My bet is on Grid 3/Autosport 2 as thats the only franchise I haven't heard anything about recently, probably wrong though lol
The game being developed by former Evo has already been confirmed to be a new racing IP. So not GRID.
Oh ok interesting, maybe its something similar to Motorstorm then, Baja racing of some sort? DiRTYSTORM!
You must have missed the part where Christina told us what the game was when we were having burgers!

I only drove 1 car, can't remember what else was available. The 1 I did drive was a lot of fun though*!

*until I rolled it through a fence
    Rolling through a fence CONFIRMED!!
*whispers* you can crash into many, many things in dirt 4

Can any of the development team confirm whether Jen and Nicky are being brought in to record new lines? I would like 'Jesus Christ (insert own name)!' to be recorded for when we throw the car off the road and into car parks. Ooh! And bring back the nicknames, just imagine:

    Jesus Christ Fuzzynuts!

The r2 cars were rally good fun to drive, and from onboards of r2 cars I've seen, they behaved incredibly well. I'm really looking forward to starting in the smaller front wheel drive cars like the Peugeot and working my way up through the classes
How many R2 cars were available when u were there for testing?
    Dunno, like, 32? I can't remember. At least 1. Less than 200

@RallyDriven Is that a reference to the 205 or are you confirming a 208 R2?
No the Peugeot (205?) that's already been confirmed for the fwd class

  10. I really don't like the fiesta. Don't like the front bumper at all with those bits on the sides that go up to the arches. And I don't like the vents behind the rear arches, they stick out too far. The i20 is my favourite, which is funny as I didn't like it at all when it was first unveiled

  11. The i20 looked a lot faster on dry tarmac in monte than the fiesta. It looked like it held the road much better and turned in nicer. That will make a lot of difference in Corsica, more so than in monte when snow and tyre choices come into play. Whilst Paddon isn't the fastest on tarmac, Neuville and Sordo are very quick tarmac drivers, especially Neuville

  12. I'm pretty gutted, my livestream kept freezing and there was something starting on tv that I wanted to watch, so I stopped watching and followed it on twitter instead! Oh well, still ridiculous! I bet meeke was on a hell of an adrenaline rush, he tweeted a photo of a toilet roll after the stage!

    This always makes me laugh:

SS10: Bertelli - Live tracking shows him stopped at 19,5 km.

Seriously, how often do we have to read this? Maybe he and his team should focus on driving and proper preparation of the car instead of fancy liveries...

To be fair, he's only there for his own enjoyment. He's not trying to win, and he doesn't seem to be aiming for a manufacturers drive. If you have the money to do it, then fair enough!
