  1. I almost got my prediction right with Neuville winning! Shame another small mistake cost him and Hyundai big, but his first win this year is definitely coming, wouldn't be surprised at all if it was Mexico.

Who would have thought last year that we would have m-sport leading the points and a Toyota leading the driver's title?!

  2. He posted on twitter, he seemed gutted obviously, but he still sounded positive of his performance from the last two events. Whilst it's not a great start to the season to go out on the first two events, it's not complete disaster, especially if he goes out and takes some power stage points tomorrow. He and the car are clearly very capable of winning rallies. and monte was the smallest of mistakes, one which could have happened anywhere else and not caused him any problems. Tomorrow will be interesting, I unfortunately won't be able to follow it love though :(

And @gfRally in answer to your earlier question, for following live, twitter and wrc radio are probably the best aside from any live broadcasts. Just follow as many people as you can who are tweeting about the WRC. It's the best way info spreads around

  3. I haven't seen everyone go over the bump that took mads' wing, but the Toyota seemed most unhappy. Latvala was pretty much facing the sky! It was a nasty bump though, caught a lot of people out. And being someone who competes in a smaller car, I imagine that was horrendous for those lower down the field and those following in the historic rally!

  4. You say that, but Paddon hit a tyre stack last night on the opening stage and barely did any damage. Plus these cars have done a lot of testing, they shouldn't just be falling apart on every corner. I'm sure m-sport will be immediately looking into the cause of mads' incident.

My brother and I both said at the start of monte that Neuville and the i20 were looking very strong and competettive. And I know it's still early days, but I knew I should have bet on him for this weekend! Aha, probably jinxed it now anyway!

  5. Tomorrow will definitely be interesting, first true test of speed with everyone on equal terms (monte is a lot down to tyre choice and wear). I'm going to predict a Neuville win, but to be honest there are a lot of people who I feel could do it, pretty much everyone is looking like they have some sort of chance

This might have been asked before @KickUp - but when using Your Stage, is there an option to recce the stage before you do your high speed run? I would like this feature, where the game limits you to max 80 km/h (WRC speed limit on recce if I'm not wrong?) with a typical recce car.
The cars in recce are limited to normal road limits, so if road has limit 50km/h you've have to keep to that limit. At least that's how it's in our local rallies, not certainly sure about WRC but it shouldn't be different IIRC.
Wrc has a universal speed limit on all recces, can't remember what it is though

If someone is given two choices, one of which is called "simulation," I think they'll probably infer from context what the other one means, whether it's called "gamer" or "casual" or "assisted" or whatever. If they are REALLY not sure, they can read the descriptions.

    Back on topic:
@KickUp As you may recall, one of the voice nicknames in Dirt 2 was "Fuzzynuts." The Fuzzynuts option was disappointingly absent from future Dirt games. Will this crucially important feature be making a return in Dirt 4?

Sadly Fuzzynuts is a thing of the past.

Id love him to dial it down to 95%.
He doesnt need to be 110%, especially in tricky rally's like Monte, where just maintaining a steady pace would have had him on an easy podium by the time everyone else had dropped off....  :(
Yeah, could have easily picked up second or maybe even 1st on that rally if you had just held back a bit like Latvala did

  9. Just mads at the moment, think prokop isn't driving until one of the next European rounds

With Meeke, monte is a tough rally, everyone gets caught out at some point. I mean, Meeke didn't really do much more than Ogier in terms of mistakes, but his was much more punishing. Crashes can happen at any time, and for a number of reasons. It could have been caused by something mechanical or a flat tyre. They said it was only a slow roll anyway, I'm sure it won't have affected him too much, even if a little embarrassing!

  10. It's hard to tell what handling modes are being used in these off screen videos. But if you can see the cars coming to pretty instant stops and turning too quickly assume it's the arcade. As I mentioned before, the braking distances have been increased from dirt rally, which felt a lot more realistic
