  1. I'm not posting the pictures, but you can clearly see someone stood where Paddon hit the wall at the bottom of the hill from the onboard. He could have gotten out the way, but still. But if anything it's better that the papers report that he simply fell rather than being hit and launched up the hill, which is what I think happened

  2. He was stood on the outside of a bend covered in black ice, no cover, and no where to escape. As I suspected, the papers are already picking it up, the mirror in the uk has wrote an article, fortunately it's just factual and well written, but you just know a shitty article is on its way from the daily mail

  3. There's an oboard and you can 100% see that there was a spectator in the ditch where Paddon went off, and can then see them faking back down after on the outside camera. Unfortunately it's not looking great at the moment. Sad for the spectator, Hayden and John, and the sport as a whole

  4. I played it a few months ago because it was the free game of the month on Xbox. Don't have a wheel so I haven't tried, but I just really didn't like it! Oh well, it was free so I only wasted time on it in the end! I am missing a proper driving game right now, is love grid autosport on backwards compatible! Wasn't the best game, but there was some pretty good racing to be done in the touring cars

  5. You can play the crew but not grid?! I'm a bit biased because I was a huge fan of grid, but I couldn't stand the physics in the crew, just found the cars unpredictable to drive. Grid is very arcade, but I always felt it was a solid handling model that was easy to learn and difficult to master.

Also, as @Rallycameraman found out, I'm not as good at virtual co-driving as I am at real life co-driving! I put it down to being an Xbox player and having no idea of the PlayStation controller layout!
I saw the whole thing from across the room. I thought @Rallycameraman was going to go full-Galli on you.

Being a controller user, playing on a wheel at codies the other month I was amazed by how the wheel reacts to the game, and how genuine it behaved. It really felt like an actual rally car
Hmm. FFB on loose surfaces is ok/good. On tarmac it's much too vague.
The way the the wheel returns to the center during transitions isn't really fast enough imo.

However, you might have played something else to what we currently have ;)
Haha, nope, I was taking about when I played PSVR dirt rally. It was the first time in over a year that I played on a wheel, which is why I found it so good

I used to really enjoy the immersion of using dashcam with DR, but with a single monitor, it was restrictive and not as fast as bonnetcam.

id quite like to give VR a go, but I'm xb1 now, so that might be unlikely
Are you playing on a wheel on XB1 or a controller? Because you are an absolute mile ahead of me on most stage times! Then again, I do t play an awful lot as I've been trying not to learn the stages as best as I can, I prefer relying on the co-driver

Lol... plenty of people build their own cockpits and hardware even... console jockeys not need apply.
'Plenty of people'? You're talking about very few people, and a shit tonne of money!

And yes, I play console. If I had the money and space for a gaming pc, wheel and peddle set up and VR, or in your case a life sized model of a fiesta world rally car, then I would. But sadly I don't. I do however compete in real rallying, and have experienced dirt rally in VR, and it was pretty dam good!
