I think we can rule out DLC now, I'd imagine the amount of people actually playing the game now ha dropped significantly, so DLC purchases would be pretty low and unprofitable -
I've been undecided for a while, but I've finally decided to order FH3 -
There was also something about an invite list, so best behaviour everyone! -
Roadbook is out, with a few hints. One being the phrase 'with Toyota back in the game' referring to their WRC return, but the wording is definitely up for interpretation -
Sorry everybody.
They've clearly gained the world rally, IRC AND BRC licences, along with every Toyota and Citroen. But the main milestone was reaching 25 rally locations, the whole World rx calendar and multiple hill climbs with all the modern and historic cars. And there's ACAT.
And in addition, to make the BRC licence realistic, you can compete in a class al by yourself, then tell everyone how good you are when you win.
Is that better? -
I'd imagine it's more like a production milestone, like hitting a development target/certain build of the game, or getting certain parts of the game given the go ahead. -
Yeah, I watched one of AR12's videos once and he was spinning the camera around on the outside view to see what other people were doing, then being completely confused why he was crashing. Literally no idea how he has so many subscribers. But I rarely watch anything on YouTube now that I'm no longer a student -
From the few videos I've seen, it seems like slap train at least knows what he's talking about when it comes to cars and racing, unlike the complete moron that is AR12, who I have literally no idea why people would want to watch a racing game channel with a guy who doesn't know a thing about it. If you want to be really annoyed then watch this from when dirt on console was first announced: https://youtu.be/nsQG3Op9_N8
the most lazy video ever made, the guy has clearly not done a single bit of research. I don't watch much YouTube anymore, but I've always like FailRace as a channel. He really knows his stuff about cars and racing, and was completely full of praise for dirt.

Speaking of gymkhana, Mr Block has a new video out in a few days featuring the Focus RSRX. -
I went to a drifting school place for a stag do and managed to shred a tyre on an mx5! Not bad for my first ever time driving a rear wheel drive -
I've just downloaded Forza 6 as it's free to play this weekend with Xbox live gold, and it weirdly doesn't feel as good on controller as Forza 5? Codies did a very good job on the Xbox version of dirt, the controller feels very good, especially as a game like dirt requires a hell of a lot more steering inputs and corrections than a track racer like Forza. -
I'm actually from a different universe, but I like to keep it on the down low, don't want to make a big thing of it -

Ooooh look, actual gossip in the gossip thread!ChristinaMc said:
Yep. This is very unlikely. There will be a... 'purpose'.I assumed that there would be some purpose to there visit, unlikely it's just a pr visit to promote a 4 month old game (for console anyway, even older for pc). -

Well we know that the CM team will be in Loheac next weekend for the World Rallycross. I wonder if they are there just to spectate, or to research the circuit?Benniz said:About time some DiRT related gossip made it's entry soon! Way off topic  -

Over 37 years everything changes.cjl9 said:Hmm...my 22 year old daughter has just moved to London for a job at Ogilvy and Mather. So the Lloyds come full circle. After she graduated college I thought I was done with paying for her but the salary she is getting as an intern will not cover the costs of renting an apartment in Kensington and her living expenses.
I left England 37 years ago, boy, has London changed. -
Someone here is going to come back to the forums after a little while off, see all the activity on the gossip thread and think a new game has been announced, then be disappointed after scrolling through pages of house prices! XD
Im getting bad at taking this thread off topic! -
Houses around me are bloody expensive, especially the nice parts. Mark Webber lives in my village in a pretty nice place -
The way ours works, it's better to pay it off through the system, as in reality you may never end up paying it all back, so paying it in a lump sum will just cost you more -
There's no way I'm saving that up with uk uni prices, £9000 per year on tuition, plus £3500 maintenance loan per year, for 3 years! Ours gets paid automatically like a tax when you earn above I think £25000 a year. -

No i think there were committed to another video game.PaloSamo said:
Are they making a video game themselves?RallyDriven said:Toyota was beyond difficult, we were told the reason when we visited, but unfortunately it's not our place to repeat why! But from what we gathered Toyota was 0% chance from day 1
so, I have now finished uni, and am currently in the process of saving up a lot of money for next year. Here's my problem though, I'm undecided what to spend it on:
Option 1- A two month trip from coast to coast in the USA, going pretty much everywhere, including an attempt on Seb Loeb's Pikes Peak world record in a hire car. Something I've wanted to do for a while
Option 2- A rally car and my first season in the BTRDA as a driver
decisions decisions.... -

I personally liked the wrc 22b
(in before that argument starts again) -

I haven't been that disappointed since I played Sebastian loeb Rally

The best bit about Tarmac on dirt is probably the way the cars lose and regain grip. Most games tend to exaggerate the side to side sliding you get when a car loses grip, dirt has a really satisfying snap when the car straightens up again
